I would have like an option for the "pull force" of the lane keeping thing with low, medium, and high. maybe with this the truck may be able to handle more hard turns a bit easier. And also, a steering wheel icon in the hud at least to indicate where is any of the lane assistant is on, with Grey being off completely, orange/amber being only warning and green meaning steer assist.
First keybind is lane assist toggle, second one is lane assist mode. Lane assist mode appears to be able to cycle through all options including disabled. Messing with the second one overrides the first one. I've also seen situations where it appears to "give up" and turn off if it can't keep the truck in the lane. Overall I find it late to respond and only helpful in highly specific situations, and I still can't find a way to see what mode it's in aside from letting the truck drift all over the freeway to test it. I probably won't use it in its current state.

G'day Max Snuffy, I use a G29 too so that shouldn't cause any issues, you need to make sure you have everything set up correctly and your traveling at 35mph or faster. Did you bind keys to both the Lane Keeping Assist and the Lane Warning Assist? what is your "Assisted Steering" set to in "Options > Controls" ?
Even After the Full 1.50 launch I have followed your video to the letter its sounds the warning never ever even tries to maintain the lane... it is so janky and no indicators of mode or activity :(
G'day B Driver, I have to admit I felt the same way when I first heard about it however one of my subscribers FlankNBeanZ pinted out that it would be Quote.: "super useful for external view driving and capturing vid/screen shots." and as a Video creator I have to agree. In everyday use though I won't be using it. 🙂

Yes it needs some sort of notification or icon to let you know it is engaged and what mode it's in.

No matter what I try, automatic steering doesn't work for me, only lane warning. I have a Logitech G29 wheel.

Mine works on G29 I have zero assists setup and do full range
i tried it and it literally keeps between both lanes not 1 lane kinda silly really
The 1.50 full update has been released and it appears to be working correctly now, at least for me it is.
Does it work with all trucks? Or only a limited set?
I only have a game controller so this feature is killer for me.
@@linux230 I think so.... Its a game feature not truck specific... Regarding controller... Have u tried mouse steering that's alot easier tbh
@@linux230 With my testing it appears that it works with the SCS default trucks and only some mod trucks.
Looks like you have to be in the center of the lane when you engage departure support. If you are on one side or the other it will not engage.

Speed above 35mph it should do lane support. You were well above the speed.

G'day Steel Mule, It looks like a good plugin but OMG it is a lot to setup, which means there is a lot of potential for it to go wrong.
The whole idea of "lane assistant" really annoys the heck out of me. I shall simply "disable" and hope I never hear it again. Thanks for the video.
