he's seriously so underrated as a guitarist. he might not be as technically gifted as dino but damn if he can't lay down machine gun chugs with the best of them.
@@Arterius_omm I would say he maybe can play even better as Dino, especially live! But Dino has some super creative output of crazy rythm-structures, especially together with Ray, but surely Christian also took a part on itheir songwriting. They lost so much of their flow as they broke. Indeed Archetype was much more simple in it's guitar structures but had instead very groovy and powerful riffs and together with Rays Drums the whole album was epic in it's own way. Also it had a really nice balance of effects and synth-sounds and had a great tune and mastering. To me the albums after, as Christian and Ray was out, it got back more of it's crazy rythm-technique but lost much groove and love at all. I found the albums after Archetype unpassionate and I totally disagree with Dino to call Archetype like this. To me it's close to Demanufacture in it's own way but clearly beyond Obsolete and of course Digimortal and far beyond everything they created after Archetype without Chris and Ray. I think theyll never reach their full epicness and abillity to create a masterpiece again without them both. And yes, Christian did awesome backing vocals, best of all FF-lineups, even Tony also does a very good job.
Raymond is such a sick drummer. He really pioneered the whole djent scene with the stecatto kicks locked in with the guitars. Definitely one of the first bands doing that style. If Fear Factory kept their original lineup they'd be up there with Meshuggah today.
@@theproblemwithkidsthesedays Xtians playing is undeniably great. His tone in FF was always the problem. It's not bad, it's just too natural/analogue sounding.
Raymond deserves so much credit for there sound dude was ahead of his time bands definitely lose there soul when they lose there drummer same happened with slipknot
I totally agree, Im seeing Fear Facory for the 2nd time in about 2 weeks and there playing the entire Demanufacture album in it's entirety which is good but i wish they would play songs live (these days) from the Archetype album because there is alot of good songs on that album. That album is alot better than the last 3 albums they have put out IMO!
Wait a second I thought the reason they took the album off the market was cuz the drummer couldn’t play the song cuz of the use of a drum machine I’m very pissed they took the archetype album off I can’t even listen to it on Apple Music I’d have to by the cd and then down load it to my iPad
No one took anything off the market. The labels who owned this record in USA doesn't exist anymore. In Europe Archetype is available on all the streaming platforms.
I hate live concerts where you can hardley hear the clean vocals. The sound guy needs to do his job and turn that gain dial up right before he sings clean
I think Burton was at his absolute peak in this era.
Agree. Saw this lineup open for lamb of god and he sounded perfect.
so true. It’s his best recorded vocals and overall vocal performance on an album imo
Agreed. Although I loved the Deep Dub Trauma versions of Scumgrief around '98
I think this was the best FF lineup
Seen them numerous times the 90s were the best times for FF
Props to Christian for singing back up vocals and playing that main riff. Shit is impressive.
I'm excited to hear his new project with Tim Yeung
Got some goosebumps!!!

Lol dude it’s triples on two frets. What’s impressive?
Raymond is such an incredible inspirational drummer and his execution is flawless.

One of their best songs.Just fucking love it!🙏
This performance is on point. Sounds incredible
Christian brought so much energy to the stage
Holy shit what extreme passion Burton shows when the song reaches it‘s peak
This line up include Dino was top .Cristians playing is amazing and this album also .
Byron Stroud is killin it on the bass too. FF didn't miss a beat with this lineup. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
the opening riff, and the keyboard really PUMP IT UP.....
The guy @4:15 is the only real FF fan there.
Hannibal Lecter who fuckin' boy?
Damn. They sound phenomenal live
Burton sounds absolutely fucking incredible here!! holy shit!!
damn this song is intense, and so was this performance.
This was FF at their peak.
Man I love slave labour, great tune. Shame dino won't play it live when alot of FF fans prefer archetype over the industrialist and mechanize.
He talks mad trash about Christian's playing in interviews, which think is horse shit. His playing always sounded tight to me
@@theproblemwithkidsthesedays
If he thinks it's that bad, he should play it himself and "show him how its done"

Fucking awesome, this might be the best performance of this song I've seen yet...
I don’t think Christian gets the credit he deserves, he really stepped up when Dino threw his toys out the pram and knocked out some serious riffage.
Raymond deserves so much credit for there sound dude was ahead of his time bands definitely lose there soul when they lose there drummer same happened with slipknot
Best song off Archetype.
Awesome song but I think drones is better
Nah i’d say Corporate Cloning.
Lejos la mejor performance que he visto de este tema, Burton canta igual que en el disco!!
This performance is fucking killer!!!
The drummer of Children Of Bodom behind the amplifiers.
Damn Burton sounds good here.
I hate the fact that this song or the album it came from is not available on Spotify or Deezer...
Today i found it on Spotify (album Archetype)
I have the same problem.cant find this album anywhere on spotify or youtube. This was a really good album I loved it
You can thank Dino for that
feels bad
Damn fine performance
Best Fear Factory album! And Raymond doesn’t get enough credit for what he brought to metal drumming.
His screams are nuts
That intro piece playing in the background before they start is Pimpf by Depeche Mode...in case anyone wants to know ;-P
AnnaDahmer666 Thanks! \m/
Burton held up really well
Major differences between the now and then Fear Factory - Raymond's drums sound real and Christians guitars and backup vocals....
Gah, how I miss the classic lineup. I would love to know what exactly transpired for Burt and Dino to fire Christian and Ray.
ChachaChapati Its been made public knowledge. Just look up the interview with Burt from 2011 where he told the whole story
Ryan O'Reily Has it? I've only ever read that Burt said "We won't talk about their (Christian and Ray) exclusion."
Yup, Christians backup vox is missed!
I can't believe this album isn't available for digital download like streaming.
Spotify braaaa
@@johnlennon1151 No It's NOT.
Blame Dino!
@Jaycee Genocide it's on Spotify to listen to, don't know what you're on about?
the inventors of a style
Love the intro, FFucking LOVE IT !!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
It's the best outdoors FF performance I think I've seen. Ozzfest '96 Donnington Scum Grief is good.

In-fucking-credible
Burton, he is a fucking monster!!!
UNA GRANDE BAND DEL METAL MODERNO!

THIS IS SO BADASS!!! LONG LIVE FEAR FACTORY!!
Thank you man for post this!

This is my song 💪🏻
I can’t find this album on music streaming
this sounds good !!
" A CONTRACT WITH THE DEVIL FOR A LIFE OF DISSDANE.......
Excelente!
My favourite FF lineup.
Why is there a busload of people running at the back of the stage?
GOD HELP ME POUR THIS GAS ON ME........
Byron Stroud
@knoxutc I think it's RAYMOND HERRERA ON DRUMS, before Mike Portnoy?
BRING ME BAAAAAAACK
Who were they opening for?
I was there!!!!
Burton...I just..you know..WTF!!! how are you fucking possible?
Steve Tushar?
Lo mejor de lo mejor🤘🤘🤘🤘
Call me crazy but i prefer Christian on guitar, his backing vocals are perfect for songs like this.
Now that's all good.
1994-2004 was their best era. Since then mehhh
please , check kalistenic's band cover of this song
Christian seems to be a better fit in the band that's why Archetype is a GREAT album.
Yeah.!
HERRERAAAAAAAAAAA
fuckING AAAAAAAAAAAAWESOME!!!!
God help me pour this gas on me!!!
ill put the mic lower??
They were so much better with the keyboardists on stage
too bad Archetype and Transgression were Christian's albums they are BRUTAL!! And his backup vocals are spot on!
Phew.

pull up to the gas station like
3:42...
Who the hell is that playing keyboards?!
I think it's Rhys Fulber
I wish he could sing cleans :(
I think the cleans are fine here, what's the problem? The years after this his cleans got really bad though
Кто на клавишных?
Steve Tushar
1:58 wtf is the indian roadie saying
shut up i was there too..
who cares
Fear Factory just isnt the same without Burton
