Please can you react to movie called CODA it’s by Emilia jonas it’s win Oscar and have a great massage
Can you do a reaction to asian horror movies? Or the ju-on TV show?
Don’t confuse character mistakes with poor writing. Every time Esther screwed up in this movie, like not filling up her glass, leaving her book out in the open, not locking her bedroom door, etc. are all things she corrects later on once she’s with the family from the previous film. That’s why she’s almost flawless in that movie because she learned from her mistakes and became better from this movie.
Yeah but in the first one, it’s heavily implied that there were multiple families before this one, they were the family that brought her into America, so this her “rookie” family is out of place and incorrect plot wise
@@gyrosbounty5566 the family before this one was a family from Estonia that she tricked into adopting her and then later murdered when she couldn’t seduce the father. It’s implied that she was adopted into that family the same way she was in the original movie, and didn’t fake being a missing child like in this one, so it could’ve been easy for her to blend in with that family just like the family from the original, and any other family before that, up until she got caught by trying to seduce the dad. All of these previous families were also from her home country of Estonia too so it’s possible she had more of a bond with those families or some sort of an advantage to the point where she didn’t feel the need to hide her personal belongings like her book since they would have no need to investigate her or try to dig for answers. She could’ve manipulated them to the point where she could let her guard down. However, this family was brand new territory for her since now she is pretending to be a biological child that went missing and then taken to a new country where the mother knows the truth about her daughter and quickly goes looking for answers in her belongings. On top of that, she was also being secretly investigated by the police which is something that probably didn’t happen with her previous families since she was adopted and was not a missing child. Again, all of this is brand new territory for Esther so she realistically and naturally makes plenty of mistakes as a result.
@@yitoproductions 💯💯💯
Another thing is that this takes place in 2007 two years before the events of the original in 2009 so it only shows that she's been practicing her facade and killing so many families over that time this house fire was an accident all the others later down the lines were arson showing what the doctor said about killing the whole family and burning the house down
Once you know the twist the weird acting from the mom and brother in the first half of movie makes more sense cause they know the whole time that wasn’t Esther but dad doesn’t 😂😂
Yeah it's great to rewatch as the acting makes way more sense.
The acting wasn't bad to me. Once the twist happened...they got on my damn nerves rather quickly. I don't believe that either cared about the real Esther.
I understand people upset that the actress & crew decided to do a prequel later but the actress did had to go through a lot of therapy. I did enjoy this film as much as the 1st one and I like the twist in this more. Once you finish watching it the first time you see the family reacting to Ester differently
therapy for what
@@franp1913 she was 12 in the first movie so i assume it would hurt a childs brain having to play a killer and having to do a "seduce the dad" scene at the age of 12
@@poopee8134definitely not in a interview with her while promoting the first film she was fine infact exited about playing the character and had a lot of fun so no.
@godammichael she was still a child at the time of said interview, she may not have realized how that effected her or was going to effect her in the future. She was a child, and Hollywood isn't exactly the safest place for a young impressionable girl who is being told to act like an adult, and likely under a lot of pressure to perform. Child actors have it rough.
Wasn’t the writers the same ones from the first movie though 😂
They kinda confirmed that they will do a third.
Thank you for your reaction to this!
I actually love the fact they waited years later because the actress yea she’s older but she still very much looks like a kid In my eyes at least they didn’t have to re cast they kept it true to the story and it gives us more on her the events that happened before we got the other movie and when it comes to them believing her it could happen four years Would be a long time for a kid and their development but I think it makes sense she’s a con artist she learns as she goes and molds to the life and to say she doesn’t hold enough to do a franchise I have to disagree she did amazing even years later please give her the respect she deserves she is what makes these movies even good
A recast could have been more offensive for the fans of the original Orphan.
Esther IS Isabelle Fuhrman. The character everybody love was made for and by her.
The director himself tweeted how the production of the movie was basically on a dead point, because the studio wanted cast a new child actress to play Esther but nobody in the crew wanted to do it, and then Isabelle come and she basically motivated everyone and saved the movie.
You can tell there's was true passion behind this project and the people who made it.
The plot twist in this one really saved it for me
Agree Hats Off To Writers Felt Like They Did Their Thing With Another Twist Yet again Twist of the year to me imo
This was a very good movie, a nice prequel for the story, I'm glad they utilized another great plot-twist as to not repeat the original, and it even explains plot-holes from the original.
the "mummy?" after she shoots dude XD
I can't believe Julia Stiles is playing Esters real mom .
I LOVE the way you say weirdo!
The fact that my favorite part wasn't in this- my favorite part is when gunnar says "JUST DIE YOU FREAK!" before pushing her down the stairwell. But honestly, the mom and gunner is miserable, and I was basically rooting for Esther.
You should check out The Skeleton Key. Its a good movie and well worth the watch.
That movie forever scarred me. one of the best psychological horrors. Mike would trip
The fact I watched that and I don’t get creeped out by much but the thought of being stuck on your body and not able to move or speak always creeps me out
I love it!
I can’t believe you thought this movie sucked it was great to each there own ig
Can’t wait for this react. Thanks!
Rewatching this makes the acting so much better after the twist and why certain characters were acting the way they were.
Despite what others think, i loved this prequel. It was done pretty well considering they had to basically do a reverse of what they did in the first movie. Age her down, while she was also still meant to be an adult too. I loved it.
Idk if you saw it or if anyone else commented it but if you remember the painting the mother of the first movie found with the house up in flames, that's this house. She painted what she went through.
Also I wondered why they would risk bringing this random kid in from Russia pretending to be their missing child. Their kid had already been missing 4 years. I doubt they were suspected of anything by then. Idk just doesn’t seem worth the risk and trouble
Actually the detective was suspicious of the family even before "Esther" returned. That's why the mom asks "what is he doing here" when the detective arrives.
Loved the beginning 🤣
I enjoyed this movie, especially after the twist. At first I was thinking the same as you were, but when the twist happened it all made sense and I was totally down for the ride.
Please react to Whiplash. Great movie 2014. JK Simmons won an award for best actor.
I’m almost positive a stupid/unlikeable husband/father has to be a horror movie trope
This movie quickly turned into a comedy lol. I was cracking up at the crazy family, holding the crazy murder hostage
I loved this! I’m so glad it wasn’t the usual suspects if you will. Very nice. Very good set of movies.
I really enjoyed your video
FUNNY REACTION😁😂😅
we really did enter into the
crazy realm... 🤪 crazy 😜
son & mom meets their worst
enemy LENA/Esther 😮😮
Yo mike you should have made the hoop yooo!! Cmon man I believed in you dog..
While I did LOVE the twist in this one, it honestly aesthetically was hard for me to watch. With the original, since the actress was much younger, I feel like it was way easier for her to pull off pretending to be a younger child. It just did not work so well with this one because it was quite obvious that a lot of time has passed since the last filming. Not to mention the odd camera shots, the strange yellow hazing that they used to try to deage her, the obvious body double shots...it just didn't work for me. The plot twist though...chef's kiss.
I didn’t expect much of this movie, and it’s not great but I give the writers credit for rather than making a carbon copy of the first one they went out on a limb and tried something unique. I enjoyed the movie.
You should watch a David Lynch movie. I think for you Mulholland Drive is a good one because it’s really trippy. A good one to watch with your friend
The twist of the real Esther being killed by the brother was inspired by one of the theories in the infamous JonBenet Ramsey case.
I think its the case of Frédéric Pierre Bourdin. The french man who pretended to be a missing boy and the family randomly accepted it.
@@tajtay but the part where the the mother covered up Gunnar accidentally killing Esther was the Ramsey case.
@KaeMcSpadden Did the filmmakers mention the Ramsey's? This family, too, the speculation was they went along with this because they were covering up their sons death/murder.
This actually happened in real life, well close enough to it lol it’s called The Imposter
PLEASE watch quarantine!!!!!
I couldn't get through this movie on my own because I was so annoyed that she clearly doesn't look like a child and they tried to make it a prequel.. And obviously that there was no age twist.
You guys should do a reaction of Christine if you haven’t already seen it
The beginning of part 3 will be how they magically fixed her snapped neck from the end of the first one Iol
since i know you love jon bernthal i rlly think you should react to a movie called small engine repair its hella underrated and jon is one of the main characters in it its pretty decent
I have to disagree with you. I think it's better than the original. Case in point if you watch this first and then the original you can see she learnt from her mistakes.
I mean yh thar is true but the first one was so much more in depth and had greater acting
I mean sure, u can see hiw she corrected her mistakes but no one needed to know how tbf
I'm not saying that this movie is bad by any means but it's not better than the original
The original had a better twist, better suspense and a better set of characters but the main problem with the prequel is that u already know they're gonna die
They did fix that issue slightly by making the characters unlikeable but the suspense is still taken away
I would love liked a sequal where they showed the FIRST family or her origins more in depth rather than just the previous family
💜💙🖤
Watch Malignant and Goodnight Mommy please
next could you watch the mummy movies the original ones and ghost rider spirit of vengeance
Pls watch the loved ones if u want him to react like this comment
Please can you react to movie called CODA it’s by Emilia jonas it’s win Oscar and have a great massage
Yea this is nowhere near the first one. First one was great. And I always go back to watch it after awhile. This is okay to watch one time. Just to see. But them wanting us to believe someone her size could smash a man’s head hard enough to kill him. Then that teacher lady repeatedly doing dumb sht. Like getting out of the car, leaving doors open, going to look at the trunk that just opened, knowing she just left a dangerous person. The mom acting confused at the grandmother thing in the plane, even though she knew. Eh whatever
This second is bad no horror and the parents been the bad guys makes no sense
@@ShadowMods221it made perfect sense
They're rich assholes and that was shown through the entire movie
Also, u do realise that orphan is a psychological thriller, not horror
I'm not saying it's as good as the first one but the plot twist was still good
I didn't feel sorry for the mom or the brother. I did feel sorry for the dad. It's too sad that he died without knowing what his wife & son had done.
yeah i have to agree with you dude. idk why they decide to make a prequel years later. i mean........she doesn't look too old but she's not a child anymore and using cgi to even de age her a little bit will be distracted.......to me at least.
Nah there’s still something to tell and they didn’t use cgi they just shot camera movements from far away
They didn't use CGI at all. They used platform boots to make everyone taller, they used body doubles, makeup and camera angles, etc.
Ok looking up on it....they didn't use cgi at all ........sorry for assuming that. I gotta say she didn't age that much then....I mean she did but at the same time not alot.
@@Lex-fs1ru Even some minor details like fake teeths that looks identical to the ones Esther had in the first movie, and contact lens to make her eyes more bulging and child like.
OK, I liked Allen better then John because... well John was 10x stupider and a total dick. BUT, if you were in their shoes and there was no proof Esther was evil, why would you think she's evil?
I wasn't a fan of this one, I loveeeee the first movie it's one of my favorites. But this one just didn't compare, wasn't that interesting either
The movie is definitely not good as the first. You could tell they used a stand in, and how much older the actress looked. The ending was silly, and the plot twist was the only good part.
The father is a Sutherland.
The father is not as bad as the first one.
This movie was full of s many plot holes it's ridiculous. W this is more the middle story. Than a prequel.
