    Smart man, I especially like his philosophy for letting the Hummel community support each other without interference which is something I have seen numerous producers over the decades make the mistake of which ultimately only hurts your support base. The community and the manufacture in this way become partners who help each other in making and getting a better product. Kudos to him.

      Not a problem for me, but I can understand why they DO keep these the way they do.
      However, their a lot guy out there that have their ticket to fly that would love a 2 place.
      Hummel is about as simple as its gets. Building and flying.

    Is the Hummelbird still available? An Ultracruiser style airplane stressed for 6Gs is pretty impressive.

    • @hummelaircraft
      @hummelaircraft Год назад +1

      V twin is not dyno'd but based on performance between 38-42. Closest to 40 HP mark.

    It's a cool airplane. But it's really pushing what's an acceptable Part 103 aircraft. No way does it meet the stall speed requirements with that size wing. I don't care what your ASI says.

      I’m guessing low weight & relatively large tail fin surface area would help.
