Polaris Phoenix 200 Transmission Problem Part 1

This Polaris Phoenix will go into reverse, but the transmission makes a loud grinding noise when attempting to put into forward. In this video we take the engine out and pull the transmission apart. Check back for part 2 for updates.

Is it possible to remove the transmission cover and perform the repair without removing the entire engine/transmission assembly? Or is too difficult to manuever the output shaft/gear and other gears? Thanks.

It's a whole lot easier to just remove the swingarm pivot bolts. Then all you need to take off is the right side foot panel, and take the trans cover off, and viola. So much easier...

How do you remove the shaft from the engine

@@jasonb1761 I assume you have already figured it out, but there are 2 - 17mm hex bolts that hold the swing arm to the frame (1 on each side)

Bigjerm where does the steel check ball go? By the time I seen it it was loose inside the trans case. . Thanks

Where does the loose ball bearing go?

Above the spring to the 18mm allen bolt. It is what "clicks" the shifter into place

Do you have to take the crab off to to engine out man let me know thanks have it near out

@Ethan Obrist took back Alex out of it and engine was so easy to take out man alot easier than the way you done it a couldn't get it out at all so just took shock of and two Axel nuts out and the hole shaft slide out best way have to say it's just the shaft fork that's it gone on my one there no marks the rest. Thanks anyways man

Same hear man I have the engine near out now very hard job the engine is to big for the farm it's not easy hope I get it out to day been working at it 2 days now fuck it's not easy at all don't know if carb off yet will see if I have the room. Hope you get your one sorted man
