This is fantastic, and I just got a 3D printer and want to do this (I have several teleprompters, but they are all clunky AF). I would really like to do a 3D printed shroud that basically holds a phone-as-camera as well as traveling it's faster to film/edit/distribute just from the phone and the video is usually damned good. Have you happened to do that and i'm just not finding it? Picturing it as a weird box with basically a back end that's swappable that can be printed to be a case-sized holder you slide your phone in and out to film with. Just curious.

Hi, I liked your project, it's amazing and I want to do one.
Regarding the magnets, what is their diameter and thickness? I found this idea very practical for assembling the TP. Just like you, I have difficulties recording and I think a PT would help me a lot.
    Thanks for the project.

I just bought the plans. Thanks for making available a SketchUp file option (especially) as well as the Fusion 360 file option. Please consider also making available a zip file of STL files that are already oriented for printing, and/or one or more 3mf file(s) with the parts laid out in group(s) as on a print bed, already oriented for printing.

@ModernHobbyist I really like this teleprompter design but I can't really use it as is since I'm using my iPhone as my camera and I thought the Beam Splitting glass was much too expensive (trying to keep costs to a minimum). This means I've had to design my own but instead of glass, I'm using a clear piece of acetate I got from the dollar store. Because it's so thin, I don't get that ghosting effect, in fact, it's got quite a clear reflection of the text and the camera can still see through it without issue. For pipping, I'm using an old shower curtain rod I had laying around in my garage. Everything else I should be able to accomplish with my printer and a few insets and screws. Other than the PLA, the only other thing I'll need to buy is a hot swap show for my tripod. Wish me luck.

8:57 "saving a ton of money"... sorta
It all depend how you value your time.
If you have a blast designing things and looking for improvement, print version 1,2,3,6... sure it's a great hobby and you do save money.
Otherwise, this can be way more expensive compare to an already made Amazon version.

The link in the description for the plans, is a dead link. Leads to an error page. Please update with a link that works. Thanks. I'm speaking of the link following these words: "Pick up plans for this teleprompter!"
