Love never needed to be organized, that’s why she’s so impulsive when left away from her family. Whenever she did something, the family fixer would take care of it for her. Joe didn’t have that, so whenever he did go after someone, it had to be thought out and he had to be thinking on his feet about how to get away with it if things didn’t go as planned. We see that very clearly with Natalie, he treats her death as an inconvenient annoyance more than anything, the same way one would act about his wife breaking an expensive cup or something. He seemed more annoyed that he had to take care of it rather than horrified about what Love had done. Even with Love, he presumably had been planning her murder for months.

It's heartbreaking how Joe basically throws her away in s2 after she sacrifices so much for him. love has done many things but shes such a much more likeable character than joe because at least she believes in commitment. joe started the cheating and disrespected her so many times its not even funny. at least love took that therapy seriously unlike joe who completely denies that nobody would ever fully accept him except her.
edit: yea duh i know love has her flaws, thats why i stated that shes "done many things". im not saying shes a saint im just saying shes the better fuck up compared to joe. i agree her constant annoying dumb last minute decisions are wrong but they have a reason behind it (not good, but theyre reasonable). she killed the neighbor because joe was stalking her, something he shouldnt have done especially after declaring a commitment to change his behaviour. she took the bait in committing adultery because someone else was giving her attention, that was supposed to be her husband. i find her to be a better option because she spiraled into a murder spree again because of joes unfaithfulness when it was clear as day that by the time theyre married, the murder shit shouldve been over once and for all. im saying love is actually decent without the one sided relationship whereas joe is ungrateful for even finding someone who truly understands him. shes capable of change in a better environment but joe chooses to go backwards to his patterns in the previous seasons. im just pissed that i had genuine hope for him and he just throws away all that character development out of boredom. when he actually does something decent then i will defend him. overall i dont 100% blame joe i believe its lazy writing from the writers.

Love has this addiction of caring for other people because in her upbringing her sense of self identity was barely nurtured or even entertained. It’s like a survival instinct to find validation in supporting others, rather than Joe’s more elective path pursued when he’s simply infatuated with someone, yet comfortable letting things ruminate for the sake of long-term planning.
The kind of difference between Love and Joe is that Joe would kill to eliminate competition and execute opportunity, killing was part of his plan, or at least the cage (which basically represents that confinement before death) was. Love did it on impulse to satisfy a sense of self security in these relationships that she never ended up finding.
Joe tends to justify his actions with the “for you” mindset, doing this on an unwarranted behalf of other people’s emotions, he immediately assumes he’s making their lives easier, therefore worthy of intimacy.
Love justifies her actions more for the self, she’d be left short handed without these people in her life that she takes these risks for. Very uncomfortable with being independent for a period of time because her character/identity is always defined with her role in uplifting *others*.
I just find the characterization between these two very interesting. At face value they can seem very similar but there’s much more to dissect than just killing and “loving”.

People saying she's really sweet and kind despite her being an impulsive murderer with no signs of remorse afterwards are just as delusional as her. Would you justify all of her killings in the name of protecting her family? She would have killed Theo for godsake! One of the most innocent people in the show, basically a child. What's wrong with y'all? Let me remind you that the psychopath Joe was more willing to give people another chance and spare their life if they prove themselves reliable enough not to call the cops on them. There was no sign of that type of thinking in Love not until Joe teached her his own meticulous ways. With that being said, they're both crazy af and deserve no redemption but people justifying Love just because they relate to her is somewhat concerning. Maybe Joe deserved it but she had no right to do what she did to her ex-husband. She's controlling and selfish, a privileged entitled brat. Also, her relationship with her twin brother was fucked up, she enjoyed him being dependent on her, that's toxic af. She would have never let go of their child despite knowing he'll grow up just as damaged as they are. Oh not to mention she had an affair with their neghbour as well but somehow her mistakes don't count in her twisted little mind. Joe was ready to go their separate ways in a peaceful way without the drama but knowing how her ex husband ended up when he wanted to leave her, he grabbed the knife in case he needed to protect himself cause with Love conversations can easily get out of hand. I'm not particularly fond of his character either but her level of hypocrisy made me root for him in the end. I loved it when she died, Victoria Pedretti is one hell of an actress. Definitely one of my favourites.

I have a question for everyone who watched the series, my question is did she love Joe for him or did she love the idea and fantasy of him and her together? Did Joe gaslight her or was Love always gonna kill him to stop him from leaving?
So in S2 when we meet love for the first time she immediately gets attached to Joe right away and it only takes Joe two or three episodes to get attached to her but when she reveals that she is just like him he attempts to run away.
In S3 we see the difference between Joe and Love Joe doesn’t want to kill people, but he will only do it either in self-defense or to keep himself from being exposed and love is very impulsive and emotionally driven we see them drifting away from each other to other people, but Love attempts to make it work out of emotional connection and Joe only married her for Henry.

Well, Joe was not a loving husband. He was gonna slit her throat until she said she was pregnant. He was only in it for the baby. He was already trying to cheat on Love by the first episode of season three. Everything else was super spot on though.

So for me love is anti-social with boarder line traits. They fear being abandoned and act impulsive. That’s what makes herlove able to then a person whose anti-social with more psychopathic traits.. they are also both covert narcissist making them more likable to, then a stereotypical narcissist.

I slightly disagree with Joe being organized. Joe was also emotionally driven, he was just used to cleaning up after himself since he had no way out plus he had done that for a pretty long time. Love on the other hand needed the same money that brought her into this predicament to clean up making her kills seem sloppy because because never had to worry about the after math in her previous life.
    Great Video😊

oh my god, I hate this character so much, not just because she's very irrational/impulsive and cheated on Joe, but mostly because she killed Delilah who was innocent and didn't really deserve it. I have to admit that even if I hate her I admire all the work behind the construction of this character, both from the writers and especially from Victoria Pedretti

Love is irony name for someone who seek it. She is vulnerable with her past due to lack of connection & love with her parents. She have abandonment issue and that trauma never heal along the way. She tried to change and to be better person but unfortunately she was chosen by Joe next victim, instead of healing of having a family to who she believe a reflection of her, Joe betrayed her trust , cheat on her first and makes her unloved after having the baby, because of that her judgement is clouded with unhealed trauma & emotion. I also think at first that she is impulsive killer but the thing is she manage to kill her husband undetected but with Joe she feel emotional due to the fact that she is insecure of Joe's love to other woman. She felt she wasn't enough even tho she try her best. After season I really hate Joe more than Love.

Idk how you guys can root for Quinn at the end when she’s the one that cheated first by giving into her need to be needed and was always and constantly evading responsibility and accountability by blaming it all to joe. Am I making sense on this one? But you guys can see how someone like this (besides the murdering) can be suffocating to live with? Always needing constant appraisals, and just to evasive. Remember when she was acting all evasive about why she was paying for Theo’s hotel room and as soon a joe got a little emotional, she leveraged that situation to flip everything on joe’s anger.

Does it matter how Joe or Love get there? She's a spoiled brat. She cheated and killed Natalie. Joe almost cheated but saved Theo. Theo could never love Love. Joe accepted her as a killer and wanted them to be better and stop.
Only a killer can love a killer. She tried to stop her husband because he wanted to leave. Thats insane and made the shrine in the second season as more guilt she did it than saddness he is dead and gone. They made love worse. Would you do book love? The none killing love?

i hope you understand that just because joe didn’t have sex with natalie doesn’t mean he wasn’t cheating…. the minute he decided to plan behind loves back and steal natalies underwear and entertain that whole situation it became cheating. joe cheated, that’s the end of it. you’re acting like love is this horrible human being with no substance as if joe literally didn’t kill mariennes ex. love is not worst than joe, and joe is not worst than love. joe has no problem killing people, and we see that multiple times throughout the whole SERIES. the whole point of the season is that they’re the same, and joe hates love because she reminds him of everything he is, and he doesn’t like seeing those parts of him.

Many wives over the world go under a lot of emotional pressure bc they’d be held responsible if their marriages don’t work which is unfair af but of course none of them go on a killing rampage.
The fact that her husband was Joe of all people and no true psychiatric help or friend is what possibly drove her to that point. She was beginning to normalise killing and it’s sad.
What most women would do is to cope, Love didn’t want to, but her solution wasn’t at all healthy. Instead you should just drive yourself away from the problem and understand that it is not good or healthy for you or what you love (her baby).
