  • What's up planters. In this video I will be repotting one of the drama queen from soil to Lechuza Pon. I will use a semi-hydroponic set up.
    1. Comment: What is your last plant that you repotted? I barely repot my plants. . Should I be worried?

I repotted my yellow fusion to lechuza 2 weeks ago, but in a glass cylinder with keramsit at the bottom, and some portion of moss for better grow of the roots. Now she is going fine, I hope she will stay for a longer period😊

I have had my C. White Fusion in Pon for a few months now and it's doing pretty good and growing many new leaves :)

I really enjoy your videos. Your humor and honesty is much appreciated. I just repotted a struggling hoya retusa in LP and now will wait and see the result. (It did fine in an airy aroid mix initially but I tend to underwater. Then it really struggled in LECA.) I am going to experiment with a philodendron florida ghost in the near future and intend to try it out in LP. (Fingers crossed!)

This is perfect! I have a white fusion coming in in a few days. And I’m so curious if pon would be great for it!

I have everything that is planted in pots in pon now (thanks to you x) when I reuse pon I’ve just been pouring boiling water and then spraying it with hydrogen peroxide to cleanse it, hopefully that is sufficient. I’ve grown from seed and unrooted cuttings in pon too (love the stuff), I have a few cuttings in water but as mentioned earlier everything else is in pon. Have you heard of Canna Rhizotonic? Young seedlings and new cuttings seem to love it 😊

Hello! Thank you for all the useful information :) I have watched all your videos on Pon. I am thinking of converting, but I like watering from the top. Do you know if I will need to water the plants much more often than with soil?

Hi I just received my gorgeous white fusion in mail looking forward to the challenge it’s beautiful there are quite a few roots coming out bottom of 4 inch plant should I leave it alone and when should I repot🙂

Could you share your progress with the white fusion in lechuza pon ?

Bad news it did not survive. I assume it died, not because of the pon, but because of the dark and cold-ish room it stayed in and / or winter here.

How do you handle climbing poles for plants in lechuza pon? I’ve made some self-watering poles with pvc pipe, sphagnum moss and hardware fabric, but I wonder if the moss will be a problem with substrate instead of soil.

My Calathea white fusion has been in Pon for about a month and went through complete shock and lost all it's leaves. I decided to leave it and it gave me a tiny new leaf, however that leaf has now gone weak at the base and collapsed. So now I am at a complete loss. I initially potted it into the pon as it got attacked by red spider mites and don't want to go back to soil so I will leave it again and see what happens, although I have the feeling it will be a case of buying a replacement :-(

I actually swapped my Calethea two days ago to pon and going throw a shock now. Not sure if it's gonna make it. How is yours?

Hey! So far, so good. It’s not showing any weird signs yet. Hopefully it will stay that way. I wouldn’t worry too much about yours. It’s gonna be alright!

@@PlantingPlants haha I already cut 4 leafs. May gonna cut more. BTW about your sink situation- I stuff the sink drain with a cheese cloth. I takes a few hours for the water to drain but it leaves the soil in the sink which you can scoop with paper towels. Obviously dump the bucket with water and soil as well wash the cloth outside (garage, garden, etc)

Are you supposed to wash the rocks first. I am plant 101 and someone gifted me a calathea as my first plant and I need lots of help.

omg. i literaly needed this. perfect timing for you to get out this video.
i need to repot my plants, because (although they are looking amazing) i have bin trying to get rid of those tiny flies for a year and my soil is still filled up with small mades of those annoying flies.(varenrouwvlieg)
I always get lots of compliments, so i hope they will still thrive in the lechuza pon. a bit nervous though, because i have an insane amount of beautifull plants. ill probably start with the ones that like the most water because they are the best places to be in for those flies.
    thanks for the content(L)
