- I intended to do this video live, however my channel hasn’t reached the 1,000 Subscriber minimum required to do live videos from Mobile devices. Please Subscribe if you’d like to see actual live videos of these duckling incubating and hatches!
How many will there be???? Checking for signs of life (if the eggs are fertile) as well as marking the eggs for turning. I only have male khaki Campbell ducks so these are either purebred khaki Campbell ducklings or pekin/khaki crosses.
Stay tuned!!!
I've used a few different Incubators over the years and I plan to do a video soon comparing them. In the meantime, this is the link to my most reliable incubator so far. By shopping this Amazon Affiliate link, you also support this channel. Thank you so much!

Hope all is well with you during this Covid 19 .
Thank you again for all your videos...
how about some non toxic paint over the cracks?
I would worry about the paint seeping through and contaminating, but I’m not really sure. I’ve heard some say they left it alone and some say they taped it. I’m going to read a little more and see what the majority recommend. So far he’s developing very well. The cracks are over by the airpocket so I think that works in his favor too!
@@ALibbyLife another thought that just hit me, is that white out tape. Very flexible as to chasing the cracks around easy corners..
That is a creative idea. My biggest concern is the high temperature of the incubator and how it would be in there for weeks. I’m concerned about their long term exposure to whatever I put on there. I’m going to read more today and I’ll talk about what I find in tonight’s video!
Is this on day 7?
I'm not sure it was quite a week yet at this point. Probably Day 4 or 5.
I had surgery earlier that week and the next day the first round for the year hatched. So I'd say this was most likely 4-5 days into the next hatch.
I saw another video where there was a crack and she put scotch tape over it and it hatched later
That’s very interesting! Tonight’s video will focus on what I’ve learned today and we’ll be checking that egg to see if it’s developed more.
I hope you gave the poor things sunglasses before you shined that light in there eyes!
Haha perhaps we’ll get them some Barbie sized ones for when they hatch!
