    For anyone who's never worked with bone, it is a grueling process. Takes forever and can be really aggravating

      Totally agree, working with bone can indeed be a grueling and time-consuming process.
      It's important to have the right tools and a comfortable workspace to minimize frustration. Have you encountered any specific challenges or developed any techniques that make the process easier?

    I would lose the hook on the first cast and be inconsolabe.

      Yeah you wanna use hooks like these on stuff like trotlines. Pole fishing is fun, but more a modern sport thing. All the good ancient methods are banned these days cause they're "unfair" but when you're living in the wilds back in the day you don't give a damn about fairness. You just gotta eat.

    This is one of the coolest channels! I found a Roe deer antler today, Do you have any suggestions what I can make from it?
    You make the finest of jewley sir. Traditional way of art.
    Edit: Also, please test fishing small fish with these! It would be fun to watch.

    No way a bone hook is strong enough to hold a decent fish.

      Bone hooks can actually be quite effective, especially if crafted well. They might not match metal hooks in strength, but they can still catch decent fish if used correctly. Have you ever tried using one?

    Can you make survival knife out of bone?

    • @entrepreneursfinest
      @entrepreneursfinest 6 месяцев назад +2

      You can but it won't hold a super sharp edge. The grain structure of bone is just a little too coarse.

      Thank you for your comments and insights! Indeed, you can make a survival knife out of bone, but as mentioned, it won’t hold a super sharp edge due to the coarse grain structure of bone.
      Such knives can be useful in emergency situations or when other materials aren’t available.
      If you’re interested, we can explore other materials and techniques for making more effective survival tools.
      Thanks for your support and valuable input!
