I've built wind turbines for over 50 years now, but I pay no attention to wind speed variations, because my "mills" (VAWT) all conpress air. I store power as comprrssed air in an " air battery" (several air tanks and a gridwoek of pipes) and make a/c or d/c on my workbench in my shop. I run small compressed-air engines coupled to a generator or alternator.
@@t.h.o.r. My toaster runs on electricity. I make it for free using compressed air. I can remote-start my steam (compressed-air) engine whole-house generator from several locations when I need electricity.
@@t.h.o.r. Also, the wind turbine compressors are geared down to from 16:1 or even 120:2 using worm gears and belts. Whenever there's wind about, I have compressed air. My safety blow-down is set for 80 psig.
Was excited to see amps😂😂 definitely cut them blades mine are super quiet now i cut them down first time was 4 inch then again i took of 2inchs total of 6 inches major differents
What length are they now so I don't under cut mine. And that let it have more rpm's and made a little more power right? I'm using 3 of these blades on my Amteck motor. They do not even turn it. I had years ago an AirMaster fan blade on it and in a storm it melted a 12 gage cord to the mill. I bet the with from center to outside radius was only around 16 maybe 18''. I just got back into playing with this stuff and I ordered a 30'' blade this time made like my old one. It fell and broke yes ago. They are heavy duty. But not from a 30 foot drop on rocks. Note you can get these in smaller size's. I got the biggest this time to play with. AIRMASTER FAN 21105 30” CAST ALUMINUM PROPELLER - 5/8" shaft hole
Heard about the fires.. don't know if you are close enough but stay safe!
You tease and we re waiting :)

I can see how that would be really efficient- but using it involves lots of noise! Im trying to imagine how my air powered toaster might work...

If that's the one added magnets to I hope they are holding in place. Yes show if it made any power with that wind.

No measurements nothing shown
Because you'll have to get bigger blades and need very high winds to get a charge. Then the original bearings/hardware can't stand up to the wear.
