    As a former Audi owner I strongly warn potential buyers of extremely high repair costs outside of warranty. Audi doesn’t 3rd party their parts so everything has to come directly from Audi & Germany. Fantastic vehicles (I loved my A6 Prestige) but reliability over 60k miles gets sketchy.

    I had a 2017 Q7, loved it and miss it (especially the heated&cooled AND massage seats, 4 wheel steering and the reliable air suspension with no issues) - due to that,when alignment needs to be done... at the mercy of the Audi dealership because 3rd party shops couldn't do it) - traded it in for a less expensive to maintain SQ5.Everything great on this review Plus Q7s need to be at least tuned stage 1(whether you choose the 2.0T or 3.0T) due to being a heavy weight. But Audi should've kept the scroll wheel on the centre console. All those screens are distracting and you best learn how to reset them when they freeze and or black out because all the creature comfort buttons are GONE. I'll choose a 2017 Q7 up to the last model year before the elimination of buttons to screens.

      Hi! I'm actually picking up a 2018 Audi Q7 prestige with the adaptive chassis package (so both air ride and 4 wheel steering). It has 76k miles on it. I'm glad to hear the air ride is reliable. What mileage and how long did you have hours? Any other hiccups with the car? Thanks !

      @@russelalmanzor2039 Acquired it w/56k kms.Kept her till 147k kms for a supercharged engine.Major reason I traded it is due to a design flaw that throws a CEL code P0491(for bank one…there are two banks which are required to throw TWO codes in order to claim for tsb/warranty.If not under warranty, it’s over $2-3$k job-my third party mech told me they couldn’t do it and must be talen to the dealer because of a “special tool” to do the cleaning job.Apparently there is a TSB but when I went to the dealer,no tsb :( so I decided to trade her in.Oil consumption was consuming a full quart ever 5k miles-had to do my oil changes early since I had a stage 1 tune from APR - I DIY’d all the preventative and scheduled maintenance.Had to have the front sensors recalibrated once - that will eventually happen when you have the radar cruise and lane assist feature.Other than that, the typical Audi electronic gremlins which weren’t a big deal.Buy yourself a vagcom or obd11 to save you money from diagnostics scan fees

    • @BocaAtractivo82
      @BocaAtractivo82 24 дня назад

      @@russelalmanzor2039I swear I replied to you before - maybe my reply didn't submit/save.Anyway, I traded mine in at around 144k kms because I wasn't willing to pay approximately over $3k out of pocket a design flaw that should had been covered under warranty/tsb because only bank 1 of two was clogged - the CEL I had was P0491 or P0492 - one of the other. In order for Audi to cover it, I had to have both which my vehicle only had 1. Plus I asked my local dealer and they told me there is no TSB even though in the U.S.A. there is. Then if you have the radar and lane keep features, be prepared to be ripped off for realignment of the sensors eventually. Engine/motor mounts that started leaking and replaced (I recommend 034Motorsport street density mounts so no more liquid filled mounts) Other than those three... just the wear and tear items (tires because you'll probably experience faster than normal and uneven wear, thermostat & water pump leaks AND PCV replacement since the supercharger is required for removal, might as well get it done).

    Did you set lane keep to early lane keep? If you set it to early lane keep it basically auto-pilots. If you set it to late lane keep, it basically only redirects you back to the centre of the lane if you're about to exit into a different lane (like the mazda CX-50).

    We have a ‘21 Q7 Prestige fully loaded and absolutely love it! Very reliable, trouble free, comfortable, great features (4 wheel steering, night vision, excellent sound system, etc.) although I will say the tech can be a bit wonky and challenging at times. Overall, we would buy it again. I am not a fan of the black nonsense with wheels, trim, etc. as it looks cheap and there aren’t really that many changes to the ’25 model over the ‘21 but that’s just fine with me. I am more interested in quality than the current “look”. And the interior quality and design are very good. Audi made a big mistake when they committed to going all in on EV’s and now realize that technology is not the panacea a lot of people think and they suspended all ICE technology development. People still want ICE even if it has to be in a hybrid form and they are trying to backtrack on getting back into what people actually want. So designs stalled, technology stalled and they are offering warmed over versions of the older models. Hopefully they get back on track. Just glad I am old enough to know that our ‘21 Q7 and ‘ 13 A8L are our last cars.

    The Q7 while nice is definitely showing its age in some areas. The tech is probably the best out of the 3 main rivals you may compare it too like a TX, A XC90 and MDx etc. However, it could just be on camera but this looks very “average” in terms of luxury materials and quality I’ve done research on the XC90 and watched videos, never sat in one. We’ve been inside the Mazda CX-90 and the Infiniti QX60 and even the Hyundai palisade calligraphy numerous of times. Yes, that’s a different class of vehicle but is about as nice as this, maybe even better.
    However, I do wanna focus more on the QX60 as that’s the main vehicle on our new car shopping list. I personally think, that has a better cabin than this, it looks richer and on top of that cheaper than this. I’m gonna assume this doesn’t have the luxury package based off the top part of the doors not being covered in leather which is another $3,700 package and this is an 88 thousand dollar family suv and I believe the 60 had the nicer interior, it was an autograph btw. It also had more storage space in it too. Then you look at the Volvo XC90 and despite it being 8 years old running the same design still looks very good to this day and the interior on that is much nicer and more unique compared to any of the rivals. If it’s one thing we all can agree on, Volvo does one of the best interiors in this segment. While styling is subjective, the q7 just looks boring imo with this refresh, i feel like it was better pre refreshed and doesn’t look as aggressive as it could. The headlights technology is cool though that’s one thing Audi has over the competition. Realistically speaking, I don’t believe anybody is gonna be playing with the headlights all the time considering most people leave them in automatic everyday and pay no attention to them unless it rains. Audi really could’ve put the money into more storage spaces as this is the largest suv they have. Typically though, this just how the Germans are. You have a lot of customizability and gimmicks, but then you are sacrificing a lot of practicality. So yes, while this is decent there are nicer options that are cheaper than this and you still get a richer feel out of those.

    I have a 2019. Honestly, very little has changed in 6 years. Oh yeah, my gas mileage is better. I personally would never buy one again. I haven't had a problem, but so many people I have known have had minor electrical problems that have cost thousands of dollars to fix. And things like over-the-air software updates have taken forever to reach Audi. Does this one even have it? Every other brand does. Consider it costs you $600 to get the dealer to upgrade your software.

    I had an A8 with the pop up tweeters. To me, it was a gimmick and it’s wow factor quickly faded. My RAM 1500 limited with 19 speakers sounds better. Also, it seems to me that all aluminum-framed Audis have a front transmission hump that is not only oversized, but robs valuable interior space. My A8 was cramped up front (the rear was regal). An SUV with a cramped frontal area is a no-go for me. Lastly, the dashboard, with all of it’s ugly, cheap looking ebony black plastic that will undoubtedly scratch, show dust and fingerprints looks like it came from a 2018-ish A-8-not impressed, and a bit long in the tooth by now. I would pick a Genesis or Lexus equivalent over the Q7.
