- This car has been literally a legend. If you call NSX-R a unicorn, what would you call this one? We knew it was manufactured in 2005, it's available on many TV games, but up until now there were almost no sightings and no video recordings because it's been privately owned. This is the one and only genuine NSX-R GT made by Honda, not a replica or normal NSX-R equipped with third-party body kit.
Honda did not intend people to buy this car at all because purpose of making this product was only to make a fact that this car was publicly on sale, so that Honda will be approved to build a longer and wider NSX-GT racing car in Super GT. The price was 50,000,000 JPY (=around 476,000 USD at 2005 exchange rate), which was more than 4 times of NSX-R.
However the price tag could not stop an enthusiast with rich, Yoshiaki Yoshida, founder of very successful Japanese cosmetics and health food company DHC Corporation, from purchasing his 7th NSX for himself. He was at age 64 when he purchased the car, and kept the car in his garage almost forever - odometer of this NSX-R GT is still less than 1,000km (around 970km). The car is in very good condition because it's been inspected by Honda dealer every 6 months, always delivered straight from the owner's garage on a loading car. In 2023, 18 years after purchase, Mr. Yoshida is 82 and allegedly the car is too much for him to handle and he decided to let go.
New owner of NSX-R GT is "Bingo Sports" in Tokyo Japan, a company specialized in managing historic and super unicorn cars. They will put highest priority to keep the car at its best and original condition, and also in order to keep odometer below 1,000km it is very unlikely this car will run at any events. The car is NOT FOR SALE, but if it were, considering price of NSX-R in recent market and good vehicle condition in addition to low milage, it should be far above 100,000,000 JPY (=730,000 USD in 2023 Feb exchange rate). I am used to seeing cool sports cars, but seeing the actual NSX-R GT was absolutely a thrilling experience. I really have no idea value of this ultimate NSX is worth.
There are rumors about NSX-R GT all over internet, especially "how many" were actually sold. I went through dozens of articles and an article linked below seemed most reliable. It's covered by one of most prestigious car magazine in Japan, and as far as I see this is the only media who succeeded in directly interviewing the first and only owner of NSX-R GT. So... judging from this and several other reliable sources the true story is, Honda limited the production of NSX-R GT to five, but only one was ordered (and probably actually produced), and delivered.

Does it still have tow hook at the front?
the sub spoiler isn't really a special add on. its available on the the regular nsx 2002-2005 with the regular flat trunk spoiler, and still available from honda/acura
I saw an lambo, Pagani etc, but The Honda NSX-R GT is my favorite, its so rare, I never saw one in real yet.

What I hear is, Honda limited the production to max 5, and only 1 was ordered so they built and sold just 1.
Honda said they made 5 but only one is confirmed in existence. other 4 was either never made, never acknowledge, or in some private hands storage that haven't been announced/discovered
