The last verse gives me chills...I'm a sucker for songs with a dark tone, and that last verse gives it one of the most solemn notes I've heard in a while.
I love this adaptation it's really deep. Sansa is my favourite character and I hope she makes it untill the end in the books... the show is totally done for me after they announced the absence of lady stoneheart...
+nicomg1295 im going to assume you have watched this season thus far, but with the return of a certain character who has had history with the brotherhood without banners, it would make sense to have her storyline. especially considering the amount of death in s6 ep 7
Magda Sebilion I can't be the only person who really hates Sansa (though sometimes my hate is semi-irrational). And don't play the misogynistic card, I don't dislike her because she's a woman, for quite a while Dany was my favourite, then Jon and Arya became really entertaining
When I was thirteen I thought I was the most innocent and sweet girl and that everybody else awful and rotten. I can't hate Sansa for what she's like in book 1 or the show. She's realistic. When she was before the King and Queen and Joff she lied because she was just woken and thrown before them to either betray her sister or betray Joff (her betrothed at the time.) She does what she has to do to survive. And she will outlive ALOT of others.
I can understand everything except her betray to his father, who was always a great father and told her to keep silence. She was an extremely stupid and selfish girl.
@@someone.5378 she didn’t know any better. And she didn’t think that Joffrey would had Ned’s head cut off. She was still in loved with the bastard before he gave the order.
I feel the purity in this hymn, thank you for this. I applauded. It is best said with Queen Cersei holding the font of mercy for maximum atonement levels.
The first few words she sang, I thought it was actually the voice of the actress, Sophie Turner. Maybe it's because of the picture on the video, I don't know. But it was really similar.
This is absolutely gorgeous. In my opinion, your arrangement is better than the one they actually use on the show. They should have used yours instead... it's so much more beautiful, & much more haunting. Amazing job!
They use this song/hymn, but not this arrangement. Sansa sings it during the Battle of Blackwater Bay, while she's hiding in Maegor's Holdfast with Cersei and the rest of the women in the Red Keep (if memory serves).
Oh yeah, I forgot about her hahaha Sansa is more senstive than Margaery, but more innocent, more girly. Whereas Margaery is more woman-like, more mature and smarter. Whatever, I love both of them

The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner. That is the way it was and will be. That way and not some other way." 'Blood Meridian' by Cormac McCarthy
most people think she is powerhungry. And hate her for ""betraying"" her family. All bullcrap off course sine they prob hate her because she is a feminine girl who acts like we would not how we want
in the book she grows up. first she is a girl dreaming of a prince charming and in the begininng she didn't recognize joff's true nature. i also hated her, but now i think she is one of the best characters.
It's in two parts of the book, and it was on the show. There is the scene where she sings it to Clegane but just before that she sings it with the other women that are with Cersei during the battle. The women singing it together is briefly on the show.
Okay I love this song. I sing it all the time. Thank you for uploading this. XD As for Ned, he was honorable til the end. The scene where Varys is talking to him in the dungeons is what I want all of you to look up. It points out neds honesty and mercy, and how it led to his downfall. And as for Sansa, she is a bloody child people! She was naive, innocent, and stupid. She looked back on that moment with guilt. She had the blind trust that children often have toward cersei and Joff because they
Mother have mercy. Every time I hear that, I have to sing along. And every time I sing along, I get shivers because, no matter how good I could get, I'll never get that good.
Amazing. I don't even have a son yet but imagining what it would be like to send one in a war mixed with this music made me tear up a little. Hauntingly beautiful melody.
Nice use of the minor pentatonic- I really liked the middle verse where the melody feels like it grates against the harmony. It really felt like the anguish was present in the song.
Well, this is my favorite arrangement of the mother's hymn. ^_^ Less hymn-like than others I've heard, but the melody just...haunts me. It's stunning. Also, I don't know if this is intentional or not, but in the beginning, there's a certain similarity to Sophie's speaking voice.. really cool.
I hated Sansa in the first book, but I was younger then, fourteen, I believe. Five years later, I don't hate her anymore. I understand why she is the way she is.
You should send that to guys from the series, and they should feature you, awesome. I only regret about the noises in the backgroungd, but I can guess you don't have professional studio :D. But! WELL DONE! \o/
The last verse gives me chills...I'm a sucker for songs with a dark tone, and that last verse gives it one of the most solemn notes I've heard in a while.
The best version of Gentle Mother I've heard for now.
Joanna Maeyens Karliene's is very good.
I love this adaptation it's really deep. Sansa is my favourite character and I hope she makes it untill the end in the books... the show is totally done for me after they announced the absence of lady stoneheart...
ALLIED7621 where? I really want the Lady Stoneheart storyline to appear
Adele D. prove it

Don't jinx it!!!
That aged pretty well
This aged amazingly

Wow, you somehow capture the essence of Sansa's character in this song...
I feel the purity in this hymn, thank you for this. I applauded. It is best said with Queen Cersei holding the font of mercy for maximum atonement levels.
Lovely! You know, Sansa has come to be one of my favourite characters; I just love her inner strength. As they say - courage doesn't always roar.
Sheila Mckillop I can only think of one courageous thing she did. When she saved ser Dontas and that was it. I low key despise Sansa
The first few words she sang, I thought it was actually the voice of the actress, Sophie Turner. Maybe it's because of the picture on the video, I don't know. But it was really similar.
true story
PaulThePuppeteer The voice do seem very similar in the beginning, I had the same impression!

this was so beautiful Sansa is truly the most feminine of the living characters in GoT.
Margaery is :)
Oh yeah, I forgot about her hahaha
Sansa is more senstive than Margaery, but more innocent, more girly. Whereas Margaery is more woman-like, more mature and smarter. Whatever, I love both of them
Well now Sansa is
This coment did not aged well
One of the most important parts of the books. Because of this song Sandor realized the saving power of religion and how the world isn't all evil.

I love your version of Sansa's Hymn, definitely my favorite of all. Your voice is stunning and so emotional.
This is the first version of the hymn I listened to years ago. It is still my favorite!
I come her to listen to this from time to time. This for me is the best version out there. Great job.
your version is still my favorite, by far
Your version is far superior to the show's, I think.
The first few seconds are so beautiful, just like an elfs voice. The rest of the song is also amazing!
I have chills. You have the most beautiful voice I have ever heard.
Why do people hate Sansa so much? Guess it's mostly TV show viewers and not readers, else I can't really find an explanation for that.
Edd!
+Dolorous Edd you are one of my fav characters in the book :D
I am a tv show viewer and I don't think anyone actually hates Sansa. (Besides for the 1st season). I like Sansa pleanty personally.
Hail the Lord commander (and I like Sansa's development in the show)
most people think she is powerhungry. And hate her for ""betraying"" her family.
All bullcrap off course sine they prob hate her because she is a feminine girl who acts like we would not how we want
this is enchanting! beautiful voice and nice interpretation.
this is so cool. At the part where the harmonizing starts, I imagined Sansa and Catelyn singing together :)
Haunting
Majestic.
in the book she grows up. first she is a girl dreaming of a prince charming and in the begininng she didn't recognize joff's true nature. i also hated her, but now i think she is one of the best characters.
It gave me chills , really thank you for the beautifull song
Every time I hear this song, I get goosebumps. Such a beautiful, haunting melody. I love it.

This is so beautiful, I wish it would be available on iTunes
Wow, your voice is beautiful!
Your voice is hauntingly beautiful and the music and arrangement are superb! Thank you for your version of Sansa's prayer, it's the best!
this is beautiful it gave me chills its perfect great job
That would have been unbelievably impressive to see played out that way. HBO needed you as an advisor.
Of all the versions I've heard, I like your melody the best :)
Wow. This is really really pretty! I congratulate you, miss.

Leto, as always, an amazing job well done. I can't say I've read any of these books, but this makes me want to.
I am out of words... You are legendary, but this... I am out of words... Good job! :O
Beautiful song and beautiful voice!
Mother have mercy. Every time I hear that, I have to sing along. And every time I sing along, I get shivers because, no matter how good I could get, I'll never get that good.
oh my goodness, it's brilliant!
That picture is awesome!
God bless you Walder, you all ways seem to know just what to say for these kinds of things.
Amazing. Love it. Angelic Voice combined with feeling and strength.
I love this version. I had to turn this on while reading the scene in the room with Sandor Clegane.
Very beautiful. Great job.
it is absolutely beautiful. thank you
This is breathtaking!
I need a 10 hour version of this
Amazing. I don't even have a son yet but imagining what it would be like to send one in a war mixed with this music made me tear up a little.
Hauntingly beautiful melody.
Good job!
I can imagine her singing this and... oh, it's great!
Go Sansa!!
Nice use of the minor pentatonic- I really liked the middle verse where the melody feels like it grates against the harmony. It really felt like the anguish was present in the song.
This always gives me shivers. It should have definitely been put in the show.
Letomi this is awesome! nice work!!! :D
this is so heart-touching... amazing!
That was awesome! -3 Letomi! :)
This is a realy, Realy good version.. Good one! Like it alot! Great!
Lovely production as always! :)
Yay, we get to hear Sansa sing after all, since we didn't get to see it in the episode!!
That really is quite incredible. I adore it.
Wonderful, you did a great job
I imagine she singing this to the hound
Amazing, I can't stop listening to it. tttt
So beautiful!

Yep, definitely. If you go from the end to the beginning you can easily see how much difference there is in the zoom.
Best version on RUclips
Beautiful.
That singers voice is breathtakingly beautiful.
Beautiful!
Wow, your rendition has left me breathless; beautiful! So haunting; can you please sing the Song of the Seven from Book 3?
You have an amazing voice
You should send that to guys from the series, and they should feature you, awesome. I only regret about the noises in the backgroungd, but I can guess you don't have professional studio :D.
But! WELL DONE! \o/
Such a good job...awesome... brilliant... thank you :'-)
