Josh Turner's is so recognizable for his signature low tone. So deep and smooth. No wonder he has taken four of his hit singles to No. 1 on the Billboard Country charts, including “Your Man” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance.” OOPS might wanna go check those out lol. I love seeing people's faces when they hear Josh Turner's voice for the first time.
I saw him when i was stationed in NC and he did concert tour on military bases, his voice so much deeper live, and just an amazing artist

This is an excellent list to start with! Country music has roots so deep, that this list, great as it is, only scratches the surface.
Check out the late George Jones. His songs ranged anywhere from absolute heartbreakers " The Grand Tour " and introspective ones " Wrong's What I Do Best " to funny ones " White Lightnin' " .
You Lie, is Reba's best song. Never really cared for anything else she has done, not bad, just never really got into any of her other songs.

"Your Man" is fantastic! And if you really want to hear something that pulls at your heart "The Longer The Waiting (The Sweeter The Kiss)" - I don't think there's an official video for it, but someone probably put it up with lyrics somewhere. It's probably my favorite Josh Turner song. I think it harkens back to his, likely, Scotch-Irish roots. It feels like a song an Irishman would have sung to his sweetheart before setting sail.
Another country singer you might enjoy is Clint Black. His first single was "A Better Man". He also has many more hits. I enjoy your reactions. It's always fun to see someone who doesn't know country music be pleasantly surprised.🥰

There are some truly beautiful songs in the country genre. People have an odd view of what they think country will be, and I certainly don't like it all, but there are some real gems out there. Josh is one of them.

John Michael Carrol “Allisa Lies” is an amazing song.
Was lucky enough to cater for Josh when he was in town and sat in on bass for the sound check... He is a real South Carolina gentleman and a great ambassador for our state!

There is an acopella group "Home Free" that is exceptional you'll love the harmonies. They have a base singer who is lower than Josh, but all there covers are really good.

@@tacosqueeze8791 Not with chest voice. Tim is able to go maybe as low as A1 but not lower. He is a bass-baritone just like Josh, not an oktavist who can fill a room with G1. Tim uses a growl technique to sing lower.
Nekros97 Yeah exactly, but I have seen Tim hit E1 in chest voice, but it was morning voice and he wouldn't be able to do it all day. Josh could probably get that low with morning voice too

Don't feel like you're the odd one out after hearing his voice. Every straight woman i've ever seen hear him for the first time has had to change their panties after. Shit, i'm a straight guy and I get the reaction. His voice just resonates.
All these recommendations for Josh Turner, and no one mentioned 'Soulmate'. It's another one to really show off his range! One of his many 'must-listen'.
If you want a "ballady" song from him, his best, IMO, is "Long Black Train".
Where this one was light and bright and all about a lifetime of love, the other gets a bit darker. I'll leave it at that. But you really have to listen or watch the video to get it the first time.
This is still a beautiful song even years after I heard it the first time. Love Josh's voice. If you are starting to like country, and love those deep voices, check out Randy Travis. Not quite as deep as Josh, but still a beautiful barritone voice.

I know you're fond of country songs. You should cover "Over You". It's sung by Miranda Lambent but was written by her then husband Blake Shelton. It's about his older brother and it's beautiful. I love Mirandas voice.
Josh Turner and Randy Travis did a cover of King of the Road. The beginning of the song starts with a few very low notes played on an upright bass. Josh Turner sings them instead. You have to hear it to believe it.

Another great one by Josh Turner is his cover of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot". He hits some really deep notes in that one. Also, please check out Home Free. I promise, you won't regret it. They are amazing and you'll love them. A great place to start would be their performances on The Sing Off, a singing competition show for a Capella groups that used to be on TV. It will help you see their rise to fame, some of their background, and get to know them more individually. Have fun!!! :D
