    I look forward to seeing these in use on a coloring page. I'm new to adult coloring and just soaking up the info on different products and issues like how to fill in large spaces with color. I'll be checking out your woodless pencils video as well. TFS

    We had to do an abstract design painting in cheap colored chalk in middle school. That was my introduction to pastels and chalk. It was very enjoyable.

    I use those for landscapes a.s.o... And blend them with zest-it oilpaint dillutant or thinner.
    For big surfaces : A3 - A2 size pieces. The zest-it blends them so beautyful but with and artistic grain! And now most oil and wax pastel users are going to declare me a nuthead, but I'll say this anyway: I prefer ordinary Bristol smooth heavyweight paper for them.
    So I completely understand why colorbook artists love them too

    Hey Necee, thank you for the demonstration. Do you need to use fixative with hard pastels like with soft pastels to prevent smudging onto the opposite page? 🤔

    • @DollarDiva99
      @DollarDiva99  3 года назад

      With hard Pastels, they won't smudge as much as the soft pastels. But for extra protection you can use a fixative. But completely optional.

    Thanks for sharing this video! I like the soft pastels better. But I may one day give the oil ones a try.

    Hello. Does the silicone you used on your finger in this video work with Derwent or other Pastel Colored pencils? I want to use pastel colored pencils for background in my coloring books.

    • @DollarDiva99

      Definitely. The pastel pusher makes my pastels more vibrant than other tools.

    What a shame about the browns and greys you might already have. The pastels look lovely though. If I did not already have pastels I would be these ones.
