Past 15 years the packers picked one offensive weapon in round 1: 2005 Rodgers until last night when we picked a backup that had regressing stats in every category compared to his 2018 campaign.... and when the Starter has 4 years 140mil contract in front of him.
At 7:40 Pat lists 4 weapons other QBs have as reasons the Packers should have drafted someone in the first round. But only one of those weapons was drafted in the first round, Mike Evens. Gronk was a 2nd round pick, Michael Thomas was a 2nd round pick and Chris Godwin was a 3rd. 3 of Rodgers best WRs are Jordy Nelson, Devante Adams and Randall Cobb, all drafted in the 2nd round. They still have a chance to draft weapons for Rodgers.
Because he proved it. When he's out the team doesn't make the playoffs and barely win 1 game. When he's playing a full year the Packers make the playoffs every year.
Dublin O’Seven Rodgers gets fair blame. People have been saying he’s been regressing for last few years now. The GM gets blamed cause he makes very questionable moves that haven’t been helping the team recently.
It could be a move to polish this good qb and giving him value with learning behind Rodgers. Could be worth trades later when people need a starting qb. I think it was a future move to fill holes pending on contracts that might be up
As a packers fan, I adamantly crossed my fingers and said do not pick a qb. When they announced Jordan love f*** was all I could say for the rest of the night 😂
I know my dad and I were elated when they announced the trade and both said Queen, unfortunately, they didn't fill their most needed position with the best player at that position in the draft.
For the record, he mentioned Brady throwing to Chris Godwin, Mike Evans and gronk (only one of them was a first rounder) and Brees throwing to Thomas (Thomas was not a first rounder). Packers have picked plenty of talented skill players in the second and third rounds over the years (Nelson, Adams, Jennings, Cobb, Jones). I’m more surprised they didn’t take a WR there than in the first.
Look of you think about it what if they didn’t have anyone this draft so they drafted love to learn from Rodgers so that way they can trade love for more value
And teams are going to think Love is more valuable how? All they're going to see is a qb with absolutely no playing time who got the same damn training he would have got from them anyway. Are you assuming learning behind an established qb is better? Because that's not true in any way. The only qb the Packers will be trading in a season or two is Aaron Rodgers.
@@bolbyballinger If Rodgers continues to play on a high level, trading Loves for a high pick makes sense. Look at the bum QBs that have a job right now. Love is extremely talented and his only flaws can be fixed with him sitting behind a high level veteran for 1,2 seasons. The Packers finally have a high quality back up Qb, something they lacked Rodgers' entire career and they paid for this over the years. Best case scenario is Rodgers plays on a high level and fulfills his contract, maybe even extends, and Love gets traded for a high pick after 2,3 years. then Packers can repeat this.
@@babasilikum7557 If Jordan Love doesn't start any games before he's put on the trade block nobody will give up a first for him. He hasn't played and his team is fine with losing him. Not exactly the kind of qb people are looking for. If he does play well enough to warrant a first round pick in a trade why the hell are you trading him? Are you seriously going to roll the dice on a rookie, who you're not even guaranteed to get, working out when you've already got a young franchise qb? And there's always at least one competent qb on the market. They net their teams second or third round picks. Fourths if they're coming off of a down year. That's for dudes who have shown they can work in the NFL. A guy that hasn't played a single game isn't going to be getting anymore.
No he won't. Because he's unproven. If he sits for a year and the packers trade him. They will probably get a 3rd. Look at Rosen, he hasn't had a aolid opportunity, and now he's not worth squat.
Jordan Love was a great pick. Great insurance for Rodgers if he were to get injured or something. Trading up wasn't a great move but I like the pick. Jordan Love has high potential.

That’s why I can’t stand Rodgers.
TY was the highlight of the night by far
It could be a move to polish this good qb and giving him value with learning behind Rodgers. Could be worth trades later when people need a starting qb. I think it was a future move to fill holes pending on contracts that might be up
Mark Sanchez looks like someone with the last name Sanchez lol that mustache is something else
Can’t imagine how this all looks if he ends up being trash in 5 years
Like Justin Harrell
Lmao Pat the host and in the back that’s some grinding 🤘🏽🔥
Eagles said “you think that pick was bad, WATCH THIS”
Difference is injury history of Wentz is much greater than Rodgers. It makes more sense than people believe
that may be the VERY best Ad placement ever lol
Jordan Love: 2020’s Daniel Jones
Packers trading up for Jordan Love is like The Bears Trading up for Trubisky! Lmao!!!!
Except that the Bears didn't have to trade up to get the guy while the Packers definitely did.
There was no way the Titans would have passed him up.
@@bolbyballinger Also Love is better than Trubisky.
Jordans love a decent qb but I would of drafted Jalen hurts
Love hurts
Aaron you earned a little bit of respect from me today. Sounds humble ready to go
Look of you think about it what if they didn’t have anyone this draft so they drafted love to learn from Rodgers so that way they can trade love for more value
AD Placement is on point.
Love highlights remind me of Patrick Mahomes playing college so as a Packer fan I think this is a good pick
Stop
Can’t judge a player off highlights everybody looks like the greatest player in their highlight tape
Whatever makes u feel better
Aaron be like Tom Brady with Garoppolo LOL
I think Love is ecstatic about where he went. Yeah. Hes gonna get compared to Rodgers. But im sure he is excited to LEARN under Rodgers.
i love the ad placement
Rogers is pissed. He wanted some recievers and instead they drop up and lose a pick for another QB
He actually called jordan love
Best and funniest sports talk show. It's honest talk not covered up with fakeness
It feels like the Packers are trying to replicate what Mahomes did under Alex Smith.
@@carlosvazquez5196 What?
This dude pat is awesome,I’m subscribed..I could watch him a Shannon all day
When they trade him in the future hell have the value of a first round qb
No he won't. Because he's unproven. If he sits for a year and the packers trade him. They will probably get a 3rd. Look at Rosen, he hasn't had a aolid opportunity, and now he's not worth squat.
Jake Welding Rosen situation was different because man started from the beginning and everyone saw how bad he was
Jake Welding Patriots got a 2nd rounder for jimmy g
Jordan Love was a great pick. Great insurance for Rodgers if he were to get injured or something. Trading up wasn't a great move but I like the pick. Jordan Love has high potential.
You are assuming he will be any good . You do know most QBs are busts right ?
Jordan Love is this years Daniel Jones
YT WW_Tim_Riggs_Do Not really. Eli was about to retire so they needed QB. Aaron still has 4 years on his contract and he’s still good
I would love to see your reaction to Dallas Cowboys drafting JMU Ben Diniccui
As a Lions fan this is the greatest thing that could have happened to the Packers. Enjoy Lafleur Aaron!
You guys still wont make the playoffs..
0 playoff wins since what? 1991 or something?😂
@@mini-14stang34 I had no idea. That really hurts. 😂😂 Can't hurt a Lions fan we've heard it all lol I wonder how the whiniest QB in the league is going to feel about getting replaced with 4 years left 🤔 Traded up too....
@@cqueal7283 we have to face the reality that he cant play forever, we got a steal so im pretty ok with the pic😂😂
Pat you say ALL THE FACTSSSSS
The Packers made A Move by drafting Jordan Love
I mean, hopping on one foot while waving your hands in the air is also "a move," so you're technically correct.
Bruh, he flamed yo ass
This is what Pat McAfee’s face looks like in every thumbnails “😲😧😵😯😮”
