tbh i think if they got sold it WOULD affect the consumer. the product would be directly affected.
Supreme changed their t-shirt blanks, hoodie blanks, and other items have switched factories/manufacturers under VF Corp. VF has all these factories they have good relationships with so one of the first things they did was convert Supreme manufacturing to some of these factories. would this change the quality of the clothing? who knows. supreme may end up at a better manufacturer or a worse one
additionally, North Face, Timberland, Vans, etc are all VF companies which is why we see collabs every season. The licensing costs are low since theyre all owned by the same company. so there's a chance that if Supreme was sold then we'd see less collaborations between these two (minus NF since seasonal collabs was a tradition built well before the merger)

True, I could see some of that happening. As of right now we don't have enough information so that's why I didn't elaborate on theories. If it does get sold these will be important conversations to have going forward.

I don’t think supreme got too big. On a global perspective supreme was not accessible to many and honestly is still a place that majority of instore purchases are by tourist.

Agreed. It still has a lot of potential to continue to grow.
