Just recently bought mine with angled jaw set. Got to say the angled set is a must. Ran a new gas service in house today and couldn’t have done it without angled jaws. Pricey bit of kit and fittings damn pricey too but feel it will be one of those wet vacuum type tool moments.
Yeah have to agree. Bought mine without the angled set. I did another video of the angled set I bought recently. They really need to bring the price of the fittings down significantly! Thanks for the comment. 👍🏻
Hi, great video of a necessary tool for all kinds of plumbing and heating work, I bought one on offer at the latest Installer show at the NEC with the angled jaw set for £1500, granted it’s a lot of money to lay out but it will pay for itself in time and it’s healthier for you.
I've been looking at making the change. When I solder a joint I get a feeling from the solder if it's ran correct. If I have water in the fitting I know things aren't right. I worry about the process also the longevity of the O ring. I'll be a dinosaur and stick to solder.
Oh I haven’t completely swapped. I bought it for some contract work that ended sooner than I’d have liked. It’s come in handy for repairing piping that’s full of water or still live even.
The M indentation is pressed onto fitting to ensure the correct jaws have been used on the correct fitting. So use M jaws with M fittings and V jaws with V fittings. If you find M indentation on a V fitting then warranty is void. And vice versa.
Not so much the make of fitting. The two main profiles are M and V. There are a number of manufacturers for each type. M has no outer collar, whereas V does. I’m happy with the M profile so far, does everything I need for domestic type installations. There are more powerful press guns for the commercial/industrial fittings which also come with other types of profile.
I know that Gerbrit sell an identical unit to the Novopress ACO103 that’s a different colour, blue, and is rebadged from Novopress. As Novopress make a wide range of pressing tools I’m guessing that the Chinese owners of Milwaukee struck a deal to rebadge the Novopress units and supply Novopress with their battery system instead of Novopress having to spend money developing a small battery.
@@usedandreviewedrealworldre4184 I have been trying to find more info on the web as it seems Novopress has been doing this type of technology for 40yrs so most likely they struck a partnership with Milwaukee where they are providing the tools to Milwaukee and in return they get the batteries from them. I think you were right initially, thanks for sharing that.
I have Milwaukee cutting tool with 12 V batteri made in China and could tell you not feeling good and not cutting It looks to cheap in hand particularly PvC looking shiny and basically cheap and noisy tool
Good question. As I’m not an oil heating engineer or involved in solid fuel systems I would contact the manufacturer of the oil system and/or the manufacturer of the fittings for the solid fuel application. Because of the insurance implications if you get it wrong I would be getting that information from the horses mouth. Sorry I can’t be anymore help than that.
Nope! Do some research and you’ll find Novopress made the first press guns in 1972. All though Milwaukee is the bigger company through TTI, I’ve been informed that the Milwaukee is a rebadged Novopress, not the other way around. Now that could be wrong so please correct me?
A lot of people think the big name companies are the origin of every innovation. Just the opposite is true. These big name company goes to the tool fairs and saw what they lilke. Then then strick a deal with the manufacturer to gain exclusive rights and put their name label on it. That is how the majority of these name brands work. They don't do any manufactujring other than marketing and distribution. The biggest name brand is Apple. Yes ,they have their own R&D, but a lot of them don't even have that.

If you bought a Novopress 103 for that much with an angled jaw set you’ve had an amazing bargain!
The 102 also swivels but the first version of the 103 didn’t and people were put off it so they started making them swivel again on later 103’s.

Please note: I haven’t mentioned the Bluetooth facility on the press gun, mainly because it’s useless and does nothing meaningful in my opinion.

Yeah, I guessed it might be so. Thanks for the confirmation. 👍🏻
Brilliant Video
Thanks. Hope it helped. 👍🏻
I guess there's different jaws for each make of fitting

Did the Milwaukee claws also fit in?
What do you mean by claws? Do you mean the jaws? If so, I believe that the Milwaukee jaws are made by Novopress and rebadged with the Milwaukee name.
If Novopress supplies Milwaukee why would you have Milwaukee batteries in the case ? It might be the other way around..

Is it ok to use press fit on solid fuel and vaporising oil heating systems ?

There are high temp fittings with different O rings in them that cant take higher temp.
How much this tool??
have link?
That depends where in the world you are, I suppose. I paid approx £1400 from PressIt in the UK. Extra jaws are expensive.
It looks just like my Milwaukee pro press.
Yeah. Apparently Novopress make them for Milwaukee and Geberit and they’re rebadged.
So it looks like the company just took a milwaukee press kit and put there name on everything. How original
