He was and remained the “last of the naval few “ . We owe so much to all the Services . May they all and The Prince Philip , Duke of Edinburgh , an Officer whom always led and supported his men and people thereafter , Rest In Eternal Peace , Gratitude and Respect .
This is wonderful reflection and respect towards Prince Philip. And what a painting that is of him as well. He truly will be immensely missed by soo many across the nation. Rule Britannia, God save the Queen and all her family. We can all stand together now for this.
Great admiration and respect to Prince Philip. He was no whiner, but stoic in the face of hardship, opposition and committed to duty. What a wonderful example to the millennial generation, if they will learn from it.
Would you whine if as as penniless nobody, you managed to marry into one of the wealthiest families on earth. All supported by his predatory paedophile Uncle?
Me and My Dad traveled passed the Royal Naval College while we was on the Paddle steamer with a friend of ours back in 2018. she is the only remaining Coal fired Paddle steam on the river Dart and was built about 1924 I would guess that Prince Philip mite have heard her whistle or seen her steam pass in the late 1930s
If only he could be allowed to continue his naval career. No doubt he would have advanced far in the RN. I think that was his greatest regret in life. Fittingly he advanced in rank to be an Admiral of the Fleet. RIP Prince Philip
He advanced because Lizzie promoted him, nothing to do with ability. Remember Sweaty Andy is also an Admiral, with no other qualifications than tupping under age girls.
I know a funny story about Prince Philip but who knows if it means jack. They say he went to Heaven because he was so handsome, brilliant, and dashing as a naval officer.
When Captain Readwin said "my passing out parade", I thought he meant he fainted and was helped by Prince Philip! It wasn't until I saw the naval cadets marching that I saw what Captain Readwin was talking about. :D

Thanks Casey, no idea who Scott Freeman is to reply on behalf of a whole nation but I imagine an unemployed lowlife nonetheless.

R.I.P. Prince Philip. He may not have sailed into Heaven, but drove one of his beloved carriages...
