A little about Ed….
Ed is an elite cyclist, 2019 British Hill Climb Champion and former Under 23 British RR Champion. He has raced as a Continental level Professional Rider for one of the most successful British cycling teams in Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada, Azerbaijan to name a few. He is also a public speaker, coach, and founded the on/offline cycling community, Backpedal. At the start of 2021, the Discord community began, and plonked many of Ed's viewers in to a 550+ strong group of people that had many things in common. Not least wanting to explore the world and pedal their bikes faster!

the tudons climb does go on on the military road. It's only open a few times a year for certain races. It's also steep I heard.

Imagine the descent off the top of Rates at 100kg+ system weight. Bone rattling and a full body workout -- biceps, tris, fingers were all hurting. Beat a few pros on the descent of Rates and D'Ebo though getting in the top 5%. Not bad for my first time in the mountains. Only just about getting into the top 50% on the ascents though haha

@7:50 I sat on the wheel of the polish gravel champion from the turning from the base Sa Crueta to the cross roads circa 30 mph the whole way, gezz he was fast.
IT´S NOT PRONUONCED "RATS" SAY IT RIGHT : R.A.T.E.S. (The same when people say TENERIF for T.EN.E.R.I.F.E. I know that´s not easy for English speakers, but you must adapt to our local stuff, including our language!!!!)
