I’ve been a long time fan, and I’m still around. I just don’t understand how you don’t have more followers. You guys are top three of RUclips CFB prognosticators

Thank you thank you, glad to have you as a longtime Verballer! We just started getting more serious about RUclips at the beginning of 2023, so that's part of the reason. We're also completely independent, which makes it harder to get the word out as compared to some others that have bigger promotion platforms. All we can do is keep pumping out content and telling our fans to tell their friends!

Couple of factors re Arkansas Ole Miss...1) It's probably going to be raining in Fayetteville 2) Ole Miss has only won twice EVER in Fville, last time was 2008... That was under an Arkansas coach, Houston Nutt

Shootout is best case for Penn State. That implies PSU can move the ball effectively against Ohio State. I like their chances more of it comes down to the Penn State defense making a few plays/getting a few crucial stops rather than a tight, defensive game where Ohio State can win by hitting a few backbreaking explosive plays on offense.

I think the big question on Ohio State is, why the hell did Will Howard only throw the ball 16 times? Nebraska, statistically at least, has a really good run defense, but only a somewhat good passing defense. Howard averaged 14 yards (fine 13.8) per pass. I don't know the game flow I'm looking at maybe the opportunities just weren't there, but it's really making me question what Chip Kelly's doing there.
If Allar is healthy, for stability's sake, and Penn State can establish the run....and Chip Kelly tries to establish it with no left tackle on the roster, Penn State can pull off the upset. It would shorten the game and play into Penn State's hands to only let Howard throw the ball 16 times. Penn State is not insignificantly statistically better than Nebraska is on defense, and it's possible some of those deep shots Howard hit on their first two scoring drives aren't there. If the Buckeyes can't establish the run, and Howard doesn't have the time to let those plays develop....they have the talent, I'm interested to see if Kelly has the game plan to utilize what they have there. It looked fine up until the Oregon game.

If Florida covers, or does more than cover and actually makes a game of it, does that force you to reevaluate a lot of resumes? We know that Georgia's struggled to put points up in the first half of a lot of games, and any offense at all against Kentucky. Even in the Texas game it's not like they were firing on all cylinders, they started off with a punt and two picks. If Florida can score enough early to make it interesting and holds pat for a whole game, does that make you look at Texas A&M and Miami a little differently? Does the needle move on those two games even if Florida wins? Maybe the SEC is just weird this year. I mean Kentucky beat Ole Miss and took Georgia to the wire in a low scoring ugly affair, and then got absolutely blown to smithereens (I always spell that Smither'ines and instantly just have Mr Burns in my head saying "SMITHERS!") by this same Florida team.
I actually think with how they've been playing recently, even in their OT loss to Tennessee, that this is probably not going to be a cake walk for Georgia. The Bulldogs, at least on the scoreboard, just trashed Texas, and are being told so, and they've got a road trip @ Ole Miss coming up. It's the perfect look-ahead spot for Florida, especially since the game is being played in Jacksonville.

I dont understand why people are in love with the fantasy of needing alpha WRs to win big games. How was Georgia and UM done it? Their WRs don't scare you but they made plays when needed. Their Run game wasn't always punishing and struggled. How bout kansas the past few years under Andy their WRs don't scare you and arent elite athletes but they constantly made plays. PSU has had 3 different WRs go over 100 yards. The unit Collectively as a group can hurt anyone. Having one alpha dog that can get schemed out or double teamed is not as good as having a jack of trades master of none. PFF has graded the WRs in top 15. I think its comical they get shit on for not having a 100 yard WR every game. Especially in games when they're running for 200 yards. If Nebraska can put over 100 on the ground and oregon on OSU why cant PSU ? Nebraska had some big holes and big runs that if that was PSU its either a TD or 40 yard run

Penn State is also the team sneaking by Bowling Green, 4-4 USC, scoring 14 until garbage time against Illinois, and losing at the half to Wisconsin. The last PSU team to win the Big Ten had plural NFL caliber pass catchers. Why anyone would say a program as big as PSU not having top tier receiving talent is fine is beyond me. The best Georgia teams leaned on Ladd McConkey and Brock Bowers (used as a large slot), all SEC guys drafted highly. If you think Franklin can build what Harbaugh did, sure, but it's more difficult to do without strong WRs, most of whom aren't in the midwest footprint, I grant you that, but Michigan was 100% trying to find and develop those guys, they just couldn't do it.
If you want to compare PSU's program standard and ceiling to Kansas's, then I suppose, be my guest.
Nebraska rushed for 3.7 yards/carry against OSU, helping them to score one (1) total offensive TD, wouldn't be using that as an aspirational target.
