+China Farmer For that equation, I would add 2 to both sides of the equation changing it to y = -x + 2. With the equation in that form you can more easily make the table of values to graph it. Hope that helps.
When y has a value, you need to use the equation you are given to solve for the x value, this can be a bit complicated, but basically you set the equation equal to x, then substitute in the y value to solve for x.

If you put in one value (x) you will get out a different value (y) and it will always be on the same line if you are using the same equation.
