Thank you very much! As for my plans now, im not entirely sure to be honest. I'd like to work for a design agency, however, there are none close to me where I could actually thrive, the majority are like wed design agencies and such, so im kinda stumped at the minute. I was considering just getting a normal job somewhere for now and focusing on freelance, youtube, and online sales, but i'm not sure really. Not in a great position in all honesty haha, just got to try and find my footing! :)
Oh yeah I can totally imagine the agencies being web and mobile-centric. But hey, you do awesome stuff and I'm sure you can do well bringing in money doing freelance and online sales and such. Could even start making skillshare videos and consider Patreon for extra cash on the side :)
Thank you! I have considered creating a skillshare account to make some tutorials on there, but I feel bad doing that because I know a lot of my viewers are quite young and can't afford a monthly fee for skillshare :/ and as for patreon, it's a nice idea, but again, I feel bad haha kinda seems like begging for money in a way, at least to me anyway haha!
I have a question does the size of the 3d object get affected by the lighting. I mean if I modelled my objects in a smaller scale, will the light look more bright or not?
hi very thanks and very good job ....but you dont need to duplicet the Sweep tag you can grop the spline on Connect tag..its on the array area in menu and then put it on the sweep tag
If when you drag de Spline under the circle you end up with a 3D circle, try to follow these steps : 1. Create the "Sweap" 2. Drag the spline and circle under the "Sweap" 3. Drag the "Sweap" under the subdivision It works for me
In case you want to know: The reason why you need to convert the Illustator file into version 8 is because that is the standart format for every Programm that reads .ai files. Not just C4D. :)
Hi! Great job on the tutorial and finishing Uni. I'm planning on getting a new MacBook soon and I'm most likely dealing with graphic intensive applications like the ones you have. Can you tell me which Mac model you use? (it seems pretty powerful..and expensive haha) Thanks for your help in advance! -Timothy
Hi Tim! My MacBook Pro is the 13" retina display, not entirely sure what the specs are, but im pretty sure it's just factory, no upgrades. My iMac is the 2016 27" 5K. Here is a screenshot of the specs on this machine - gyazo.com/80d2fadb262c7d1f453826c531202d56 Im going to be upgrading my RAM soon too. It works fine as is with all of the programs I use, but can slow down when I'm using a load of programs and have a load of tabs open on chrome, but overall it works fine for what I do, just would be nice to have that little bit extra :) Hope this helps man!
Thank man, and I learnt how to use all of the programs I use by myself. The university doesn't teach you the programs, but more things like design processes and such. They do have workshops people can attend, but I didn't need to go to them tbh ahha it was just the basics.
Amazing tutorial. Only problem is i don't have Cinema 4D and i hear its mega expensive :( is it like adobe suite and you pay subscriptions or can you get a month free trial or something?
Thanks man! and I'm not entirely sure, I think you may be able to get a 30 day trial, but i'm not too sure. You could look on pirate bay for a pirated version ;)
#Ste Bradbury Design.. you are an amazing designer.. please tell me that ..is graphics designing is good to take it as a career field.. and please name the university from which you got your graduation degree in Graphics Designing.. waiting for you reply..!!
hmmm... I honestly don't know what to suggest, like I said, i'm a novice with C4D so I only know a few things. Maybe try looking at some forums or trying to find a youtube video? That's the best i've got im afraid :/ Sorry about that man, i wish I could be of more help to you here.
I had this same problem, it was because I used the brush as a stroke instead of the pen tool, Both will look like strokes, however it seems to only work while using the pen tool.
when i drag my letter into the sweep and to the left it just turns the circle into something big....not my letter..any idea why that is happening? im new to this..
ahh im deciding weather to go and do an extended diploma in graphic design or do a range of subjects which are graphic design, photography, maths and business. almost finished gcse's :)
ahh yeah that decision for me was a no-brainer! I hated school tbh, so having the opportunity to focus primarily on graphic design was amazing! Of course, if you're interested in studying a range of subject, then sixth-form will probably be the best bet since thats where you can do that if im correct.
Check the description, there is a link to the motion designer who created it for me. Not sure if he has a tutorial on how he did it, but I don't know much about motion graphics unfortunately man!
Wikipedia Definition: "Hyperrealism is a genre of painting and sculpture resembling a high-resolution photograph. Hyperrealism is considered an advancement of Photorealism by the methods used to create the resulting paintings or sculptures." This 3D lettering is sculpted to look like a realistic metallic tube/pipe or whatever you wan't to call it. Thus being hyper-realistic. Hope that helps dude!
I have finally graduated from university!!! :D
Whoop whoop, congratulations! What's your next steps, joining a design agency?

Jesus, look who is back :D Cool video, thanks bud ;)
I absolutely love this but you should put the contrast in the ambient occlusion part to 35% (that usually looks better for me)
Thanks, and thanks for the tip! I'll definitely give that a go :)

Is this Cinema4D studio or Cinema4D Lite?
Nice work man, did you learn C4D in school or on your own??

Any idea why i've no highlights man?
Can this be done on Blender?
For some reason when i open my ai document in C4D its not a single wire frame its the outline still of the stroke...
hmmm... I honestly don't know what to suggest, like I said, i'm a novice with C4D so I only know a few things. Maybe try looking at some forums or trying to find a youtube video? That's the best i've got im afraid :/ Sorry about that man, i wish I could be of more help to you here.
It was also like that when I tried to upload a type which is not turned into strokes, but when I changed that it worked.
Natalia Martelus what do you mean? Because what I did is I mad a single stroke type with the pen tool and it came out weird?..
oh, then I don't know why it comes out like this. I've only had this situation when I uploaded a file with a text field instead of strokes
I had this same problem, it was because I used the brush as a stroke instead of the pen tool, Both will look like strokes, however it seems to only work while using the pen tool.
Thanks
Thx
What's font name? Please
when i drag my letter into the sweep and to the left it just turns the circle into something big....not my letter..any idea why that is happening? im new to this..

did you go to college or sixth form before uni?
+Vision Graphics yeah, I studied at college for my diploma, finished with straight distinctions 😁

what sort of topics/areas did you cover in college if you can remember?
how to make your intro?

110k :D
I know it's crazy! :D
Definitely deserved tho.
Press the L key if you can't seem to move the points in Cinema 4d.
"Hyper" xD
hyper realistic lettering? what does that even mean?
