Yeah, Quad at that age is goddamn nuts! That's not something most people get done until their 50's and they are severely overweight. I hope he takes his diet and meds super-seriously for the remainder of his life.

Being a Cardiovascular OR RN in the Pennsylvania. I see a lot of CABGs as well as AVRs, MVRs, Ascending Root Replacements, Type A Dissections, and Heart Transplants. I happy to see that you are doing well and better now. One take away from this besides knowing that you are a bad ass. Never stop fighting for your health, when you feel like something is wrong, fight to get the care you need, and seek out Nurses that will advocate for you and fight for you as well.

I'm glad you are feeling better, man. When i was 16, i had to have open heart surgery. Bothing really prepares you fully for the recovery. And waking up with the ventilator tube and wet towels on your chest is oddly terrifying. You are now in the sternum clicker club (occasionally, your sternum might pop or click from time too time). Either way, I'm glad you are doing okay. Just take things a little bit easier and enjoy the ride that is life.
Thank you! Yeah I’m glad they didn’t really tell me what waking up was going to be like. It was terrifying because I was still on the breathing machine so I felt like I couldn’t catch my breath. Between that, being intubated, the fluid and tubes in my lungs and that feeling like someone else is living inside your body. Words don’t do it justice. Also, the clicking is already driving me nuts 😅 Doesn’t hurt thankfully but it’s so weird.

Dude, that's no joke .. I'm happy you are making it through. Please be patient with yourself, take it slow, get better soon. Please, never ignore bad pain again. You saw the result... I did the same and lost a kidney. Pain is not a spam message from your body... it's there for something. Peace, love, and heartbeats.
I’m just so happy that you pulled through and are still here. I’m happy waiting for content whenever it’s ready because the most important thing is you having a healthy recovery. I realize that you are healthier now (thanks to that wonderful surgeon of yours!) and I wish you a fast recovery.

Dang man, so sorry to hear that. You just never know when something's sneaking up on you and a better healthcare system here would no doubt be helpful in preventing serious issues like you had, even by just being more affordable and making folks less unintimidated in having things checked more often.
So happy to see that you're doing well. I found your channel a few years ago when (due to stress) I lost sight in my right eye. The doctor recommended that I find a relaxing hobby and sculpting was exactly what I was looking for. Your talent and humor helped me during that time. Not sure where I was going with all this but I want to say thank and please take care of yourself.

Glad you made it. I also had a stent put in at 41. They found the blockage though before a heart attack. I think it's just the way most of us eat these days, food's not what it used to be. So many preservatives and chemicals in everything, and everything has sugar in it. While I was in the hospital there was a 20 year old getting a stent, the place was super busy, I had no idea it was so common. Crazy. It's the same story with everybody though, you'll change your diet, but only for a while, maybe a year, then it's back to the same old. Humans are like that, we forget. We need the constant fear of death to keep us on the straight and narrow.

Wow! I am so glad you are on the road to recovery! My dad had multiple bypass surgeries, so I am crazy paranoid about my heart health, especially with how sedentary I am (game dev life yo). Thanks for sharing all of this! I don't doubt you may have saved some lives by sharing your experience. 💜
I'm so sorry for what you had to go through dawg. I pray for your recovery and i hope you get to roll again in the same speeds that you used to. Maybe leaning towards a more balanced lifestyle for your body needs. I know it sucks whenever something health related occurs but that's just our body's language of trying to warn us.

Damn, glad you're on the road to recovery now. My friend also has heart issues, he's getting a 2nd stint put in soon actually. His parents didn't believe him when saying things felt weird or that he got winded easily
I had major open heart surgery when I was born 26 years ago and another when I was 5 so I feel your pain, it's cray how far modern surgery has come.
So glad you told us you survived beforehand! I mean I still watched the whole video but for all people who don't do it, I think it's good to tell them early on!

Glad you made it through dude! So glad we have the NHS here in the UK, the wife had a valve replacement several years ago, and just recently she had a Cochlear implant. They did a vertical incision for her heart surgery, at the time it was a new thing, everyone else on the ward had horizontal scars

Holy shit. That’s wild and I’m so sorry. My brother in law has been dealing with heart surgery and recovery, it’s not easy. I’m so glad you are on the mend and feeling better. JFC.... as someone who grew up in Connecticut it's getting to be about the worst time of year to be doing any kind of healing. Worse thing you could get right now is a cold, causing more coughing. Keep that house WARM, it'll help! Whatever it is you've got planned you seem pretty happy and excited about giving you a genuine smile, so I'm sure it's gonna be a banger! As someone who sculpts you'd be pretty surprised how much stress it does put on your chest muscles especially given how long you do it for.
You're health for sure comes first though, we'll be here even if you don't post again for a few more months or however long it'll take for you to be where YOU feel good again. Take your time, make sure you're good, we will be here man. Stay safe!

Glad to know you are in your way to recovery. I almost lost my grandma to a heart attack; triple bypass for her.
Also, this may happen in the future but grandma’s leg gets swollen sometimes; the one leg where they got the vein from. She uses compression socks for that.
