- The third episode from an exclusive series of conversations, ‘Newham Talks’ sees Kano link up with well-known faces across the worlds of music and entertainment, sport, food, and literature, to raise money via GoFundMe for the community of Newham in East London, where they all grew up.
Donations can be made via the GoFundMe campaign with all proceeds going directly to Newham charities supporting young people, tackling homelessness and helping end food poverty.

Not only is Kane a top musician and actor, I know it’s not his priority but man is an excellent interviewer too. Doesn’t interrupt, let’s the chat flow, asks great and spontaneous follow up questions that actually excite the listener. A lot of so called journalists in this country could learn a thing or two from K A. Big up!!

He was born and raised in Hackney. He didn't move to Canning Town, Newham until his second year in secondary school.

Trust me I remember all those NF stories I used to box at Peacock Gym in Canning Town back in the day. It's mental when you think about those times. Kano please interview DJ Randy C (former manager of Deja Vu FM) he was from Custom House/Canning Town.

I watched the teardrops video this morning and I have to say this. I have been a fan of you from risky road days, listened to every album you’ve put out and all I can say is I hope you feel happy and that you have received all the credit and everything else you deserve!! I hate to make comparisons but you are as significant to us and when I say “us” I mean grime fans from the uk as jay z or nas or biggie, pac, big pun, rakim, kool g rap, the list goes on as they were to America and the hip hop culture. A lot of people have had short spouts of fame, money, recognition in your genre but you have not only stayed consistent but honest, humble and modest. You are a true genius and a legend. Seeing Kane in Leeds last winter was one of the best nights of my life. Loving this content too. Idris also has all my respect. I’ll never be a musician or actor but these men are inspiring on every level.
