I think the concept is that, the each of the girls of Newjeans go through identity crisis:
a) Hanni thinks she's like an iphone catering to the needs of the fans
b) Minji has the caretaker syndrome where she thinks she is the one responsible to look after the girls and herself(fun fact, she's the oldest amongst them)
c) Danielle tries to convince the others that they are in fact an idol group NewJeans and shouldn't listen to hate comments telling them discouraging words
d) Haerin has beautiful cat eyes so she thinks she's a cat
e) Hyein has the princess syndrome where she often daydreams about herself being the lead princess of Disney movies
In the last scene, a hater can be seen aggressively typing shit so Minji tells the hater 'Time's up'
I feel like they are one step ahead for next Kpop generations &their concepts would never get tired Or bored ❤️

I’ll be honest I’m not a huge fan of their last two releases but I felt the same way about gidle and their release “nxde” however both groups latest concepts have been one of my fave in kppp

this is my take on it- the reoccuring character in newjeans' lore is named Ban Heesoo. The fandom name is Bunnies. (korean pronunciation of bunnies is banheesoo) WE are Heesoo. if ditto was the fan's perspective on the parasocial relationship between an artist and a fan, then OMG is the idol's perspective.
hanni's monologue in the beginning really brings that to light: "when you call me, i will run to you anytime anywhere. i exist for you"
it brings the concern of artists having to exist only for the fans- they're trying to say they're *real* people too. she's an "iphone", basically a metaphor for being a person who has to run and be 'on' when the button (app) is pushed.
danielle is very smily/bubbly type of person. fans always comment on her happy attitude and when she's watching the tv static and laughing at it, i think it shows that feels pressured to always smile and laugh because that's what people expect out of her now. so she's just laughing at nothing in that scene.
hyein has princess syndrome, because while always trying to dress up and be her prettiest self for the fans, she forgets reality and confuses herself with fairytales. (snow white, sleeping beauty, and the revenant references)
haerin- ever since debut, fans and nonfans have said haerin looks like a cat so much that she actually starts to believe she's a cat.
minji is the unofficial leader of the group (there are no positions in nwjns, but a lot of people and myself included think she has leadership qualities) and she's the oldest. so she's been known to take care of her members very well. hence her thinking she is a doctor who's under pressure to take care of her members.
i think the team at ador and hybe are VERY self aware of media and newjeans' market. they know what people say about newjeans!! this is their first comeback and only 5 months since their debut and they're already challenging the industry and doing callbacks to their debut! a MASTERPEICE of a music video, and the song is 10/10! i love the breaking of the 4th wall, i love how they called out their haters at the end of the video, i love hanni dressed as steve jobs. i mean, this video has it all- humor, weird/quirkyness, references, callbacks, serious topic, lore, introspection, thought provoking... no one is doing it like newjeans. i mean that literally, this has never been done before.

Both Ditto and OMG are about idol-fan relationship. Ditto side A is about the closeness of their relationship while side B is what happens when that closeness fades away.
OMG is more like the idol trying to please the fans and losing their identity in the process.
The beginning of the mv is obviously an apple add🤷🏽♀ very genius way to incorporate it to the concept they prepared, where hanni thinks she must obey to what others want of her

the last part is so funny to me cause it’s just a hater typing something and then minji appears out of no where and tells them that times up😭 it’s like telling them to go get a life or something
The meaning of this OMG music video is that all 5 members are patients in a mental hospital. The first patient is Hanni, but she thinks she has an iPhone, that is, Shiri. If you change the Korean letters on the iPhone, it means idol, but I was confused because idols have to come when fans call, sing the songs they want to hear, and listen to fans' demands. The second patient is Daniel, and she is always smiling positively even when watching the TV with the screen turned off. The third is Minji. She thinks of Minji as a child as a patient and mistakenly thinks that she is a doctor at a mental hospital. The fourth is Hye-in. Hye-in thinks she is a princess from a fairy tale, and the fairy tales are described in the order of the book titles. The last one is Hae-rin. The members usually nickname her Cat Gang, so she thinks she is a cat. Daniel says we are NewJeans and is currently filming a music video, and even the director who created the music video appears. It ends with the last drawings appearing in the real world and the webtoon cartoonist looking out the window. Dr. Minji takes care of haters with cookies.
The intention of the director who made the music video is not for everyone to be crazy, but for all of us to live mixed in reality, fantasy, and ideology, and to respect everyone's imagination. The meaning of the song's lyrics is that Ban Hee-soo from pigeon Letter is a fandom of NewJeans. It means Bunnies. So the lyrics are a confession of love for Bunnies.

in this mv, each girl kinda lost their identity?
minji thinks she's a doctor, at the beginning she picked up all the girls and the last girl she picked up (sitting alone, wearing pink) is herself.
hanni thinks she's an iphone.
danielle think she's an idol (in this case, newjeans).
haerin thinks she's a cat (from the scene where the other 4 girls are looking at 1 cat and the scene where she's eating cat snack).
hyein thinks she's a disney princess.
Danielle is the only sane person inside the music video actually! She is suppose to represent a new kpop idol about to loose themselves.
I just realized that they all see animals. Hyein and danielle see the bear, minji and hanni see the cat, and heesoo from ditto saw a deer. But maybe they’re all connected somehow and mean something. Like a spirit animal can symbolize something important. Yeah they definitely did lose their memories but maybe they all remember it from different realities or dimension of themselves. Like heesoo, when they all got in an accident all of the members got sent to a special hospital besides heesoo. And that’s when heesoo was imagining recording them like old times. Unless she’s a ghost stuck in limbo, that’s why the memories keep repeating and the deer symbolizes something. Haerin, hanni, minji, Danielle, and hyein all start thinking of themselves from pieces of their past that were important to them. Like hanni, the iphone, hyein & Danielle a bear, minji a cat. Idkkk it’s just some stuff I tried piecing together.

It ain't that hard, each is crazy as the lyrics say, one thinks she is an iPhone Siri, another thinks she is a princess, another a cat, another is lost, and the last member is breaking the fourth wall and thinks they are idols named New Jeans. Overall, the video is about celebrities in South Korea and the hard standards they have to maintain towards their fans and the public.
That's why the last member appears at the end writing a malicious comment to the video since the video doesn't follow the formal standard of Music Videos that have been done so far.

Dude. Do you understand that this song is about FANS and their relationship with IDOLS. The protagonist who speaks of being an IPhone is viewing herself as a product, and the confusion between constant working for the public and the comments and satisfying the needs of the public, often becomes a burden and then mental health becomes a question. It is not about being toxic. Do you have empathy or at least understanding?
