So male pelvic pain occurs in about 10% of healthy male patients. So the male pelvis essentially is a sling of muscles. This muscle structure essentially contains certain organs, which are the prostates, seminal vesicles, rectum and the bladder. Also in the pelvic floor of the male, there are two openings. One's the anus or rectum, the other opening is where the urethra passes through from the bladder to the penis, which allows for urination.
In the clinic, in terms of male patients, we see a variety of patients, starting from younger patients who are more athletic, those patients typically have sports type injuries, those are men who do a lot of biking, are lifting at the gym, have a lot of sexual intercourse. We also see males with high stress jobs, whose jobs entail prolonged sitting, and also see males post operative for pelvic pain conditions, like IE prostatectomy or resolution of anal fissures and hemorrhoids.
So pelvic pain conditions in males are more common than people think and unfortunately, often male patients suffer needlessly with pelvic pain. They're quite embarrassed by it, they don't want to tell anybody about it, and they often don't seek treatment. So if a male patient does have pelvic pain, it's important to address that, because quite often the condition is resolvable.

This is a absolutely DEBILITATING issue. At first in 2017 I had something happen while lifting and ended up going to a urologist. The doctor said he believed it was prostatitis and sent me to a physical therapist. Several months of therapy and it got better. In 2021 I had a pretty invasive surgery for Occipital Neuralgia and was out of work for almost 2 years ( just sitting ) and returned to work and this pain emerged once again but this time around it is WORSE! I am seeing a physical therapist but I wish I knew 100% that this was the issue. My urologist said my pelvic floor muscles was extremely weak/ but TIGHT (staying in a fight or flight mode ) it makes so many things difficult. Urinating is damn near impossible at times, others just very difficult. I wish this was a easy quick fix but I’m not sure that’s possible with this

Hi do you know what caused your pelvic floor dysfunction? I haven’t been diagnosed yet but I been suffering with Frequent urination, urine dribbling afteurinating, weak urine stream sometimes or sometimes it starts like so strong but after 10 seconds it starts to decrease and the line becomes thin then it stops. But if I strain a little or push more urine comes out. I also don’t have pain but have twitches in penile area and my penis sometimes feel like tight like if it was being squeezed. I also get twitching sometimes in area between anus and testicles. Sometimes mild left testicle pain but It doesn’t last a lot. I had been also experiencing problems with ejaculation. When I ejaculate it doesn’t shoot with force. Just like a drop comes out and the rest stays stuck in urethra then it slowly comes out. Idk what caused this in me. All I can think of is excessive masturbating since 12 and now I am 20. Going for 40 minute runs without stopping everyday. Heavy lifting and abdominal workouts. Stress and anxiety since I was 15.

@@KoolAidDinkyTV I have no idea what caused it or started it with me. Stress and anxiety ( which I have BAD ) can actually cause us to be in the “fight or flight” mode all day long without knowing it. So in return this causes us to clinch our stomach/abdominal muscles which cause overuse and strain on the pelvic floor muscles. Well over time they get kinda worn out and they stay tight ( like you are clinching your teeth all day long type shit ) Only way I know how to explain it really. Shit part is the ONLY thing that helps is PELVIC FLOOR PHYSICAL THERAPY! And you have to find someone who is truly certified in it. If not they can F you up and make it worse. I understand what you’re going through ( not all of it but a lot of it and it sucks ) especially when you’re young. I’m not as young anymore but I’m not old either ( at least I don’t think so lol 😂 but I sure as hell feel like it with stuff like this going on. Let me know if you have any more questions.

@@thetattooedguy1413 Thank you for your explanation. Yeah I suffered from Anxiety but I managed it with a therapy. The only thing that I kept dealing with is stress because of college. I would still get anxiety attacks but it was rare during class. Btw I also had sedentary life I was always sitting down. I started to workout in 2022 then stopped. Then I returned to working out on April and in May is when my symptoms started. It’s already July and I start my next college semester in August 28th. I already told my mom and family members about my problems and explained them that I have like pelvic floor dysfunction. But they tell mr that I am fine and it’s all in my head. Thanks to this I won’t be going with them to our family trip because I don’t want to be having to use the toilet every hour or two hours and my urine dribbling. I swear I was already getting better I would last 4 hours without going to thr toilet, but as soon I lifted something heavy and a few days ago I began to run. My urine stream became again weak and i dribble 😢

@@KoolAidDinkyTV That’s exactly what I deal with. I want to exercise BUT I just can’t at this time. It absolutely WRECKS my shit. Then I’m screwed up for a month or even longer. So if I was you I would not lift anything at the moment ( at least until you can get a grab on this with PT ) it will help train your pelvic muscles when to relax and shit like that. I will say at first the PT can almost exacerbate the issue and pain but if the PT place is truly certified in MALE PELVIC FLOOR THERAPY then it will get better. Maybe just try jogging or something light just to stay moving ya know. I just had to have a scrotal ( my nuts ) ultrasound done Friday. I have a varicocele ( which sucks also ) so my junk hasn’t been very good to me lol 😂 ( only it really isn’t a laughing matter) because it has destroyed my life. I hope it works better for you. Seriously if you have any issues or questions let me know

i once had a uti , but i was afraid to tell my parents and dealt with it for 2 weeks (i was afraid they might stop my whey protien suppliments ) , finally went to doctor got antibiotics , during the course i noticed my left testicle hurt , my antibiotics course increased ,, 2 years later , now , my testicles hurt slightly some days , urination almost always hurts , i often have constant urge to urinate (specially after ejaculation , sometimes ejaculation also hurts) , god knows why is this happening to me , has started to take a toll on my mental health . ( i am quite active in gym , i can link re-emerging of slight testicular pain to a deadlifting injury , tho x-ray shows nothing )

Yep you’re in the pelvic pain club got same issue, symptoms are irratic, from penile pain to back pain painful hard ons burning urination, those nerves, mainly pudendal, and sciatic nerves are causing pain from entrapment, due too tightness in pelvic floor muscles. Hott bath soak helps stretching semen retention/ No fap, and chill out relaxing! You’ll feel better! Hope I helped you? Your not alone!
