The artwork that was deemed to creepy was actually pre-production for alien force, not the original series. Idk where that rumor started, the artist recently clarified he did those drawings around 2007.
It's actually pretty fascinating that's when the show was originally being written before making it aliens that Ben turns into they were originally just going to make him transform into human superheroes

But I also enjoyed the original Ben 10 , Ben 10 Alien force ,Ben 10 ultimate alien a lot . For me all the Ben 10 series are awesome

With Eric Cante and the mountrous draweings, it's actually a misconception that he worked on the original series. He actually only worked on Alien Force (Here's a link to Dave Johnson, designer of the first 2 seasons of the original series confirming it: twitter.com/Devilpig666/status/1261400192709881856) There's a great video on the Ink Tank channel with an interview with Duncan Rouleau, where he talks about how the show was originally going to be Ben changing into different versions of himself across the multiverse, which would've been interesting to see!
Not gonna lie, I kinda like the original concept art for Ghost freak a little more simply because its stated that's not his real face which in my opinion makes it a little more creepy.
Plant guy looks a bit like groot...almost. You know as much as I love the aliens, I would have loved to see the original superhero transformation concept...makes me wonder of they scrapped it due to it being a bit similar to Shazam (Capitan Marvel).

Swampfire (plant control and methane explosions, plus regeneration that makes him superior to Heatblast) 6. Echo-Echo (can multiply at will and produce loud screaming sounds, although not very durable at all) 7. Waybig (practically unhurtable and gargantuan strength as well as lasers, but has a fatal weakness in his back fin) 8. Rath (constantly fearless and pumped up, his strength and speed are great. But his attitude is a little much...) 9. Big Chill (can freeze his opponents and go transparent, but may become stalled against an energy based attack) 10. Upgrade (can latch onto any machine and take control, but doesn't see much use when there aren't any around)
