    I'm to lazy to actually do this but this is sweet. Its cool that you also still check your comments even 3 years after you uploaded this video.

    who knew a guitar could be so versatile? 🤭

    Actually I think a far better method outside of using the real thing is using a regular six string steel acoustic guitar. You can record the part normally and then use a octave FX VST in you DAW to lower the pitch 1 octave (or use an octave pedal etc.). This produces more of an acoustic sound to the lowered octave than an electric guitar. I have tried both and always go back to the acoustic guitar. In the mix it sounds closer to a real acoustic bass than doing the same thing with an elect gtr.

    Is there a way of monitoring the sound of the bass in the headphones without hearing the guitar at the same time? I'm using Ableton.

      Hey Molly! If you are using the same plugins as I am in this video you should only be able to hear the tone of the plugins no matter what DAW you are using. It might be the case that you will have to adjust the "Mix" knob on the Pitcher plugin if you are getting too much of a guitar tone. Let me know if that helps. Feel free to drop me an email with your exact setup and I might be able to give you more detailed help. Thanks for watching! ☺️

    I was using Loki Bass and write all the lines from daw's midi sheet. All that click and edit takes too much time. This might help. Thanks man.

      Oh I’ve done similar things in the past. I believe it comes down to what sound you are after and what is comfortable to play/use. I’m no piano player so it takes me longer to play a bass line on it. It’s a good alternative even if it’s just the demo version of the song. If you try it let me know your thoughts on it! Thanks for checking out the video 😊🙏

    Great video _ wondering is there a way to just have the bass sound only on the E,A D ?

    • @BillyCrabbeMusic
      @BillyCrabbeMusic  2 года назад +4

      That would be a tricky one James. There are midi controllers that attach to the guitar which could possibly give you that capability but from just the guitar output I’m not sure.
