- In which we look at ten back to back replays in one session (two of each ship) and compare Worcester, DM, Salem, PR, and Austin.
Des Moines is still the King, not just of the 5 US cruisers but of T10 cruisers in general. It has, however, suffered from BB powercreep more than just about any ship in this game, since it relies on positional and often static play. The DPM is demonic, utility is essentially best in class. While you do get funny clicked by 30mm overmatch BBs, your DPM is so overpowered you can sort of copium your way out of it anyway.
The strongest of the 5, highest carry potential, middle of the road for fun.

some, not all, or partially for most. I obviously dont have every t10 ship in the game, i did only start playing this game in early 2021

Great video, honestly maybe your best yet imo. I am relatively new to wows so when I got the Des Moines I was slightly underwhelmed tbh. I definitely see its strengths but just feels like it blows up far too much for my liking which is why I prefer cruisers like Nevsky which can stay back and still be useful, which yeah is kinda boring but that just seems where the game is right now usually. Also main problem is camping on DM is it's main gimmick but if you have cv then you might just be giving yourself a death sentence. Even with the AA skill, if you get yourself camped on rock that you cant really reverse out of ad the cv targets you it's just a fucking torture. Anyway, great replays and analysis, thanks I learned a lot.
thanks man. I almost completely feel the opposite way but that's why I try to always mention in every video that my playstyle is aggressive, probably too aggressive, and my enjoyment of a ship usually is tainted by how i like to play
CV spotting should change soon. Then DM will be the boss once more!
For Slot 6, I've switched from DPM to Range. i hate how much more passive games have become and it lets me torture the cowards
