- My first attempt at replacing the shift knob on my Subaru BRZ left an unsightly gap where the shift lever was exposed. Now I shall remedy the problem with an adapter, which I learned the existence of from a comment on a video about a pokeball shift knob with a similar problem. ( • [Product Review] Floss... )
Shift knob from twistedshifterz.com.
Reverse lockout adapter from Shift Solutions Co. on Ebay. - Авто/Мото
hey thanks for the video. hard to believe your one of the ONLY videos showing what a reverse lockout adapter does and how to install it! i know its easy and straightforward but as someone new to the car scene, i was confused as hell without a visual explanation. thanks
Man you are the greatest !!
The entire RUclips doesn’t have any explanation like you did❤❤❤
I just got this dope knob for my stick shift ford. Turns out I need an adapter. This one looks perfect thank you for this video.
So glad to see the stirring conclusion to the previous video. Bravo!
thanks for making this video, been looking everywhere for the adapter piece!
Shift knob probably not specifically made for the car. Other brands with the same ball shape knob don't require any reverse lockout adapter for the 1st gen 86/brz
Can someone provide a link to the reverse lockout adapter?
If you have a different car you’ll have to search to make sure to find one to fit. But this is the one in the video: www.shiftsolutionsco.com/product/reverse-lockout-adapter
Do you know if this set up works with a VW Passat
I don’t know. Does the Passat have a manual transmission with a replaceable knob? If so does it have the reverse lockout mechanism that you need to pull on to shift into R? If so I’d look for the size of the thread used for the knob and search for reverse lockout adapters in that size, or look for aftermarket sites that cater to VWs and other German makes.
