I bought this thing at the dollar store months ago, sometime last year, took it apart so very quickly only to realize my grave error. Havent been able to put it back together after all this time and just now finally gave up and looked up a video. Kinda mad at how easy you made it look after my months long struggle 😂😂 i was trying to hold all the pieces myself, didnt think to stack some and use them to hold stuff up 🤦♀️ thanks!

This wood puzzle does have exactly 18 pieces. That is correct. At first you use 2 to make a framework for starting the puzzle at the bottom, but later in the process, you slide those 2 which should not be attached, out from the bottom and work them into the upper part of the puzzle. When you have 2 pieces left, put the one with 2 tabs in first, then the last piece is the only one with just one tab. Hope that helps.
