Water Tech® Pool Blaster Max CG: Here is my review of another great cleaner by Water Tech - same exact cleaner as the Pool Blaster Max but 25% more power. Can you feel the difference? I can, but I have used both so it is easy to compare. Excellent suction, long battery life and a one year warranty. A good solid product.
Virginia Eller: How much is the Water Tech Pool Blaster Max CG? I have an automatic cleaner but I put it in my pool to vacuum and it froze up. The water I guess is still to cold for it to run. I had trouble with green water and now that the green is gone I need to vacuum the pool.
Are you still around and do you still own this pool vac? IF so, can you please tell me how it's doing after these years? Still going or not so much.......? Thanks so much.
Thanks. Will you do a behind the scenes video and show how you accomplished the underwater shots? Do you have a special pole attachment for the camera?
Hi David, thanks for taking the time to make so many valuable and educational videos, I learned so much from you. In this video at 3:55 what's that white square unit floating by the steps? Thanks in advance.
That is the Solar Breeze - a great product for surface skimming. Solar-Breeze NX Robotic Surface Solar Pool Cleaner: ruclips.net/video/d_o07EPydsw/видео.html
Thank you for all the great videos! I am a subscriber and love watching them. I am new to the pool service industry with just a few accounts so far, but growing everyday, and I love the idea of this for vacuuming, but Amazon has some very poor reviews claiming suction not so good. I am also concerned about the battery lasting from account to account. Most reviewers said 40 minutes to an hour tops. I live in Florida and most pools are screened in so pulling out big vacuum is over kill I think this could actually be all I would need if it worked well, but I am just nervous at the $300 price tag if it is junk. You said you use it on your route, do you need extra battery? Does it do a great job with little effort? Would love to hear your reply I value your opinion. Thank you
I carry two of them on my truck. One the Pool Plaster Max CG and the other the Pool Blaster MAX HD. I use the Sand/silt bag only and use them to spot vacuum pools and spas. As long as you lube up the charging port the motor will last. If it goes out within the one year warranty Water Tech will send you out a new motor and it takes about 10 minutes to install. Suction is consistently good with the Sand Silt Bag. I use mine at least 3-4 times a day, running it maybe 15 minutes per day as I use them only for spot vacuuming fairly clean pools. I use them in all the spas I service. They are great. I am testing two of their Volt product line which Water Tech is upgrading to a 2 year warranty. I have the Volt FX-4 and FX-2 that I am filming now. The FX-8 is undergoing a slight remodel. The Volt line is only available at retail pool stores. The FX-4 is pretty good, liken it to the Catfish Ultra. But the one I use day in and day out is the Pool Blaster HD. My Pool Blaster Max CG is well over a year old now and working fine. Just need to drain it out really well after each use, charge it until the green light comes on and no longer - as that wears out the battery - and lube up the charging port. Hope that helps.
Thank you very much and yes the information was helpful. I am very thankful for your videos, they are very helpful to someone like myself. Keep them coming I am always tuned in!
I have had 3 different pool blasters. I used them each only one season. When the second season came around, they would not charge. I thought I would be able to use them more than one season! Does this commercial grade pool blaster last better than the smaller models?
The new versions that are water sealed are much better. Would say for long time storage to leave the battery 1/2 charged and turn it on once every moth for a few seconds to keep it running. If you purchase the Volt line from a retail store or the Jacuzzi brand at Leslie's they come with a 2 year warranty.
I have below ground pool about 18'x30' and have a problems with leafs both large Tree Leafs and Palm Tree leafs They clog the up the regular creepy crawler. Which one would you recommend to remove them?
I will be testing again their Battery Powered Leaf Vac in the for of the Leaf Demon sold at Leslie's pools for $99.00 That would be the one for large leaves.
Both the Max and Max CG will work in one foot of water. I just used mine today in a pool with a raised area with less than one foot of water and it was fine. If you go with the Catfish you will be emptying the debris bag often as you are describing a large area of water. I am working on a troubleshooting video and I found that if you run the MAX or MAX CG with the bag inserted inside out the machine has more suction even when bag is filling. Interesting as I think it creates a greater water seal and give the impeller extra room to operate behind the bag. Video will be posted soon.
Thank You i'm thinking about getting one. I have a route down here in San Diego. I have a couple accounts where needs to be spot vac however the truck distance is quite a ways to be dragging the hose just to spot vac. I will look into it. Do they carry them at SCP?
PoolBlue B It is a good idea. I am using pretty much the entire line-up on my route now. They come with a one year warranty so I figure why not. I'm not sure SCP carries it - my branch only stocks the Aqua Broom. I suggest Walmart.com that way if it doesn't work for you - it will be easy to return - but I think you will like it.
My experience as well! I bought my first one, used it one season, cleaned it and stored it for winter. Next season, nothing. No way to fix it. Thought maybe it was a fluke. Bought another--same thing. Bought a third. Same thing. It does a decent job but I would think a person would be able to get more than one season's use out of it. Disappointed.

Great suction, but it doesn't do well with algae. Literally shoots most of debri right back into pool, which makes it extremely cloudy
Try the sand salt bag.

Can I use this for spas/jacuzzi?
Sure

thanks for the quick response.
Where can you purchase this pool vacumn.?
The newest version is available online
does this vacuum work for algae that has dropped? thank you!!
It can pick up most algae with the sand silt bag installed.
Is this vacuum cleaner effective to clean silt from swimming pool floor?
Which one would you recommend for a large reflecting pool that is only about a foot deep?

The small debris is falls back into the pool
Try using a sand silt bag. Very effective.
Lasted one season. Not repairable. 👎
