Mort, thanks for posting this! This is Sandy--yes, THAT Sandy.🙂 I was just on Master Minds, where I didn't do very well but competing at all at this age (69) is worth something , I guess. I wish my Jeopardy appearances in 1989 were online but I've had no luck finding them. I won twice, so that was fun. (This is an old picture, by the way. Oh well. I didn't really want to bother updating it!)
Hi Sandy--I'm glad you were able to find this. And it's pretty impressive that you're still in the game show business with Master Minds. I'll have to check that one out and maybe they'll let me at my age (80) have a shot.
@@mortkamins4943 Try it! Their viewership skews old (you can tell by the commercials) so, who knows? Mazel tov on making it this far, Mort, and many more. One of my friends asked if you'd ever done the screenplay. 🙂
@@mortkamins4943 Actually, I wouldn't bother with Master Minds--it was a really bush league operation, all due respect to the people working there. GSN doesn't get the big sponsorship bucks, I'm guessing!
From what I've read, they taped a week's worth of shows on the Friday before they were scheduled to air. In this case, it would have been taped on December 28, 1990.
I'm very sorry to hear this. As a quiz show contestant he was astonishing. I can't think of him as a "rival" because he was orders of magnitude better than me. We were fortunate to spend some non-quiz time with him and his wife Lyn when they visited Los Angeles many years ago. RIP.
Thanks Again for posting All of these shows that you were on I Wish the other Champions from Sale of the Century would post there shows on the Internet to So we All could enjoy them Sadly as it is they may never be Found
I intended originally only to post a couple of shows to have an accessible way for family and friends to see them. I didn’t think that there would be any interest in them outside of my small circle.
Hi Mort - I was sent here by Ivory M. I'm looking for the Jan. 10th 1977 and Jan.12th 1977 episodes of Double Dare. Would you be interested in trading ? Or maybe uploading them to this channel ? Thank you very much.
You don't have a good recording ? Do you have a poor quality copy of those 2 episodes ? I'm not fussy about quality. I think these were the shows that appeared immediately after your's on D. Dare ?
I am sorry for me critizing my opinions on your Sale of the Century performance. Unfortunately I can't change them but it was wrong of me to point them out. I took them down.

@@smmalloy Re screenplay--written but unsold. The classic Hollywood heartbreak story--talent goes unrecognized😮💨
Thank you for posting these videos. It's a treat to see episodes of this long-lost show, and a thrill to watch your command of the game.
It was a short-lived command but nice while it lasted.
Who would downvote this? Thank you, Mort, for sharing your appearances.
Thanks. I don't care about downvotes. There are thumbs down for some of the greatest bands and performers in history on RUclips.
👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing, Mort!
👊👍
Mort, how did they do the taping of "The Challengers"?
I don't remember anything about it. Sorry.

Mort, I regret to inform you that your Australian rival Cary Young passed away last night.

Mort you did a super job on your second appearance and what happened to the money 💰 that you won on your two appearances. 😀👍
Thanks for the kind words. Re the money: There's a university in Cambridge, MA that managed to acquire it from me.
@@mortkamins4943 your welcome and that's a good idea. 😀👍

Michael was on Press Your Luck in 1984.
Before the final challenge was that a yankees player that was doing leg-ups on that commercial?

Unfortunately I don’t have a good recording of my Double Dare shows. They were available for a few years on Amazon Prime but no longer. Sorry.

Actually, you were in the Jan.10th show, but not the Jan. 12 show.
Thanks for nothing
@@classictv1693 Well, I really have nothing, so you’re welcome!
I thought Clark would've had laryngitis after the countdown
Ed Toutant's Challengers appearance was heavily preempted two weeks later because of the Gulf War starting.
Sorry, Michael.
I seen mort kamins on four game shows this one the challengers, double dare 1977, sale of the century and win Ben steins money

It's cool--no worries.
