There is no way of being accurate to two decimal places when even a second goes in a flash. Even to one decimal place it would be tough.
@@JoeAchilles1 Quick yes, but not compared to a current F1 car, despite your claim, Joe. F1 cars are typically under 5 seconds 0-200kph for race starts with full fuel load. On a late race restart (less fuel), Daniel Ricciardo did 4.2 seconds 0-200kph.

@@JoeAchilles1 My best 0-60 was 3.02s , my 2019 M5 CP is on Michelin PSS4 .I totally share your opinion about its harsh suspension ,however in Europe, Germany , Croatia roads are smoother car felt amazing. Did Stelvio too :) (enjoyed your M8 GC video on that too ) . Before my car's handover in Edinburgh, I watched and read many videos (including yours) and articles as I was mainly worried about the suspension of the Competition Pack. Also I had driven another one in Hampshire which was sort of reassuring about the ride but funny enough the one which I got then was totally different, very stiff! So I was playing with the tyre pressure and tyre size, I also checked F90 forums and even bought a jack from Halfords to check spring spacers as many dealership did leave them in unfortunately, which of course ruined the comfort even more! Anyhow, my did not have the spacers left in so I took it to my local BMW dealership to 'get it sorted', I was hoping some sort of adjustment or alignment .They managed to soften it somehow, apparently they changed tyre size or what .. BUT .Since then , my car has not been as stable in corners , nohing like it used to be, or as it was when I drove home from Scotland . Is rolling more now when turning which is 'OKish' for daily comfort drive, but when you really want to enjoy that power the car just feels more simple in corners, miss the M letter. Did wonder the other day whether I should ask them next time at the service if they could reset to the original settings !? Sorry about the long comment.. To be honest, I didn't really notice the lack of 'pops' and 'bangs'. The engine sound is great as it is and doesn't need a bunch of (sometimes) tacky noises to make it sound good.
I don't think it sounds that great but pops and bangs just don't suit a gentleman's car.

I have the pre-lci version and let me tell you I immediately noticed the lacking exhaust noise. Once you hear it, you don't wanna go backwards
Ten years ago a sub 3 second time for 0 to 60 (let alone 0 to 62) was the preserve of hyper-cars and track cars...... daft....

The M5 and its 5 siblings has always been the best BMWs in my humble opinion
And the best of all, it has a proper BMW grill!
I would rather have this than the M3/M4 based on the looks alone,
this really was a site for sore eyes..id rather deal with trump for 4 more years than this ugly grill for ~5years

I’m a massive M5 fan, had the E39 variant and still regret selling it! This new one looks a real weapon and must surely be a contender for best all rounder. Now if we could only persuade M division to make a touring version 😂😂
with having a family I checked out the new m340 tourer video - its quite a beast for a diesel. but yeah this in a tourer would be mental!
What’s with all the internet hype for tourings? BMW sales show that the sales for saloons/coupes heavily outweigh the touring, yet all I see on car youtubers comment sections is “touring touring we want a touring”. When In fact, only a few people would actually buy them and would not make sense for BMW to sell one
@@SH7SH7SH7 obviously older men with money and a family - its a good balance between having a fast car and having tons of space for travelling around? my 5 series saloon is rubbish for my family - just not enough space to cover all bases.
@@retroafro1 I mean fair enough if people want an m340d/i or 520d touring for a daily and for the family but I just don’t see the point of an estate M car. The whole point of M cars is driving dynamics. If you want a really fast straight line estate, go for an rs4/rs6, Audi have been making great fast estates for decades...

Must admit on all recent speed tests- BMW are killing it - but the interior is tad ugly - screen not even folding or integrated- Merc and Audi have the better interiors IMO and better overall packages . Just based on an ultimate driver experience Porsche is still my favourite. I’d still like one though!
@@LouPezza me being a bmw owner myself I love the interior. Yes it doesn’t have the big screens of the Mercedes or the style of the audis but it’s right. Simple to use, everything where you expect it to be. I love the Mercedes screen but I feel like it would be a nightmare to live with. Just my opinion
@@pearce9853 100% agree. I love the interior of my M5 comp. Maybe it is the familiarity given I have never owned a MB or an Audi. However, the MB's gaming interior does NOTHING for me.
I haven't driven the LCI M5 but I wouldn't say it blows to E63s out of the water after driving the pre LCI- MB have seriously improved the drive of F/L E63s however. We all have our preferences

Love your videos Joe ! I finally got my BMW M5 Competition delivered to me. It took three months to get it after I ordered it from the dealer. But I enjoyabley passed the time waiting for my M5 Comp LCI by watching all of Joe's M5 Competition videos.The dealer told me not to let the car rev over five thousand RPM's until after the 1200 mile break in service.Then I will take the car out and see what she really can do. I got the drivers package which gives you a day at the track and raises the top speed from 154 mph to 189 mph. In two months I'm driving up to NYC from Florida to visit family. Interstate 95 north which I will be traveling on has a perfectly straight two lane highway going from the border of georgia and south Carolina. I am going to open it up for two hundred miles at 189 mph on I 95 north .

Another great review Joe. It’s partly your fault from your previous vids that I got the pre LCI M5C - still love it! 😀Just to note that all UK M5C have OPFs. There was an ECU update from late 2019 build that took out the pops and bangs for EU regs. Keep up the great work 👌🍻

I fully agree with you with almost everything i just find the seats in the rs 6 more comfortable especially on the sport plus seats with alcantara, im a. Big guy too 193 and 103 kg, so its a matter of taste i quess.

It looks unbelievable. The LCI M5 is the most beautiful and the most aggressive looking car with class that I have ever seen.
Get a lightly used M5 comp rather than a new M3 Joe, you love these things so much.
Being an influencer gets him a favorable finance deal.
@@Visual_Ghoul I did wonder how he was able to swap cars more often. If I tried to get out of my PCP deal early (before VT time) I was taking a huge loss on resale value.

@@Chris-ob7qd It might just be in the UK (or EU) but there's a law that you can "Voluntary Terminate" a PCP contract after half the contracted amount has been paid, usually 50% through the PCP term. So 2 years into a 4 year contract. You can basically hand the car back and stop payments, only having to pay for any cosmetic or other damage. Some people will tell you this looks negative on your credit score, but IIRC it's illegal for it to do that. BMW are generally fine with it, if you go and get another one. My advice on finance: Never pay the dealer's asking interest %, especially if it's over 8% (on used). On a new car, you should try and time your purchase to coincide with a low APR deal, to try and get it < 3% (again, UK numbers, YMMV).
Awesome video as usual - your X5MC one convinced me to get one as I was worried about the ride quality. It was delivered on Thursday and it’s every bit as good as you said - except I actually don’t mind it in Sport Plus! Surely the M5C is ok out of the comfort setting with 300kgs less!

There definitely is. The m5 isn’t an m3 or m4 where you should go all out with the colours. It is a much more sophisticated and classy vehicle. Black, charcoal, or silver fit it best.

Like the colour. Not sure about the rear lights and blue accents on the lights though. Massive discounts on the prefacelift car when I looked last summer. Guessing it sheds a lot of cash from day 1. Better as second owner?

Hi Joe, just going back to the pops and bangs on the LCI M5, its not because the new car is fitted with OPFs, that they are gone, its because they are actually mapped out, in the ECU. All M5 Competitions made, have OPFs, as does the LCI car, but i just wanted to point out, its in the ECU mapping, where their demise lays, and its such a shame, All to do with emissions as usual, and WLTP regs, keep going with the videos, always enjoy them.

6:59 The cracks and pops have been dialled out with a new ECU map. The filter isn't the culprit. BMW were forced to do this in light of EU noise regs, voted on by the EU parliament in 2013 and came into effect in 2019. The rules limit car noise to 68dB. There are M5s out there with filters that have exhausts that pop and crack on the overrun.
Yep so many blaming OPFs for this.
so bmw got rid of the best part of the new m5..
If you’ve got the money for an M5 you can afford an aftermarket exhaust
@@yennerz00bradderz Aftermarket exhausts dont bring the pops and crackles back. Several people on forums have tried different exhausts and it hasn't helped. The unburnt fuel making the pops and crackles is controlled by the ECU.

great cars brought my 19 model 2 months ago, standard draggys times on it are 3 seconds dead to 60. now ive since had it Evolve tuned to 730 bhp. Its a shame the LCI lost its pops and bangs its to do with the ECU update NOT OPF...muted. shame, even standard mine popped and banged with the opf, so actually joe lot of people wrong assuming its the opf as you have, as the 19 comps like mine also have it and still bang and pop...its the fuelling on ecu thats actually changed, down to emissions., , ill wave when i see you Joe as i live near Amersham like you
My god the sound of that M5C around Goodwood! That was a wild beast in its natural habitat - absofuckinglutely beautiful. I actually prefer the pre LCI M5 comp front end over the new one.
