Yes same! After Laughter got me through a few depressive episodes and it's still my fav! I also really enjoy the last album, I love how they evolve as a band and we just keep evolving with them!
It’s so interesting because in an interview I remember her mentioning how frustrated she was with the happy sound of it because she just wanted something sad to match her lyrics/emotional state where she was at, which I think might be part of the reason she went on to do Petals For Armor, so she could really have full control over the sound. It’s nice to know that now that time has passed and maybe she’s healed some more stuff (that she also mentioned in that interview) and is perhaps in a better place, she can look back on the album with such fondness. Very cool. I’m happy for her.🙂
I thank MTV for introducing me to Paramore, I was a teenager, I'm 32 years old, I'm 33 a little younger than Hayley, because of her I started composing songs, and dying my hair, she's mine inspiration, I discovered Paramore through the album, Riot, passion for the first song, I also love the solo albums, thank you Hayley, thank you Paramore, hug from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷

I think she sort of gets into a different headspace for that, though, maybe like she’s almost playing a character (not saying she’s not being genuine; more like there’s a certain sort of frame of mind you might get into that’s a lot more powerful and fearless then when you’re just sharing your thoughts unguarded). It’s a bit different when you’re just chilling and talking about yourself. I can imagine it being a little anxiety inducing. Haha😅

I get that After Laughter is her favorite.....but I hate the way she talks about Brand New Eyes. It's still a good album! Regardless of drama and who hated each other. Self Titled earned them their first Grammy and she barely talked about that album. It's my favorite album from them.

It was then that in 2023, some events led me to discover the song, This is why. I had already listened to Paramore's music a few times, but never fully and with due attention. However, from the middle of 2023, a kind of musical renaissance happened in my life and then I started to become interested and listen to music again. I still have a lot to hear and learn about the band Paramore. But this kind of musical renaissance allowed me to meet other artists. As soon as I discovered the album, (This is Why) I was directed to the album, After Laughter and discovered songs like, Hard Times, Forgivenees and others. Anyway, the album, (This is why) allowed me to look for and also get to know not only Paramore but also other artists and bands. Therefore, I wish Paramore good inspiration and shows. (Friday/May/31/2024).
Saw them at the eras tour in hamburg and literally fell in love with haley energy also huge girl crush idk abt u but litterally coolest person ever mightve enjoyed their preformance more then taylors 😅
