Amen Candace. You've said the importance in life. Thank you for sharing your your frightening experience and realizations. Love and prayers to you and your family for a full healthy outcome. Hugs, Vicki
You said it Candace! I felt that way until the last earthquake, that totally shook my head to understand what matters the most. Thank you for the inspiration. We do not know until when our Lord will keep us here, meanwhile let's enjoy what is most important - our people, and why not a little crafting here and there. Gladys
I dont know how I missed this video. I dont think I am getting all the new ones like I should. Thank you for sharing this with us. Im glad to see you better and doing more of these videos with Miss Sybil.!
so happy to see you :) yes, I have had a touch of anxiety here lately, so I have been backing off how much time I spend on the computer. because I basically went from crafting too much to... too tired to craft to...to sitting in front of youtube or pinterest for the rest of all time. thank you for sharing your heart with us, I know I needed to hear it for myself! BBH XxXx, laura
God works in many ways and I have been thinking the same thing but must admit have not listened very well. Thank you for verbalizing this, because you are absolutely right. I'll be praying for you. Many Blessings, Linda Hardesty
How amazing God is. I have never watched any of your youtube videos and the one that I choose to watch is you talking about exactly the thing that God has been speaking to me about. I have been going through my craft supplies and selling or giving away all of the stuff I have been hoarding but never use. My new plan is to only buy when I am actually working on a project. Also my sister and I have been going to the Teen Challenge center near us and making cards with the woman and girls there. I supply all of the products we use and the classes are free of charge. We are also going to start having a mini album class for the single mom's at a home in our town. I am loving that I get to use my gift and passion to give to others in our community. God bless you and I hope you are feeling better.
annoliv That is amazing!! I'm so glad God had you stumble upon my video....I just taught craft class yesterday at the local mission, I love those gals. Praise The Lord you are obeying him in moving product out and also going to Teen Challenge, that is soooo cool!! Thank you for stopping by and for your enthusiasm. I have had very little stress and anxiety since making this video, I'm learning a lot about how to de-stress and to keep things in perspective. Jesus must come first....Thanks for watching and sharing!! Blessings, C
So happy to see you happy little face Candace. I was worried about you. I too am trying to get my perspectives in order too.. we just don't know and I certainly don't want my hubby and kits throwing my crafting stuff out.. I will be de-stashing and i haven't forgotten about donating to your mission too.. just taking me some time to clean... lol.. hugs Barb
Oh, that's so sweet you were worried about me!! I appreciate any mission items you might send, but no hurry, just when you get to it. Thanks so much for thinking of me. Hugs C
How very frightening; you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I had a similar situation about 6 years ago and was hospitalized for a week. I have since changed my life and simplified a great deal, but occasionally (due to my own exacting personality traits) I get caught up and stressed. I have to step back, re-center myself (as it sounds like you are), and make myself let go. I want to contribute to good, but I can't do it correctly if I don't have my priorities and focus straight. You are a wonderful, beautiful child of God, being a gifted teacher, inspiration, artist, etc. are fantastic but secondary. I feel so blessed to have met you through YT, but PLEASE take time for yourself and only do what brings you peace. Much love and big hugs, Kristina
Hi Kristina, I feel blessed too, isn't it wonderful how God brings people together? Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. I am taking a vacation this week, so not crafting, no work (well, minimal work) and spending time with family. I am definitely relaxing this week, and then back to the Dr on Fri. Thanks so much for your encouragement my friend. Love n Hugs to you, C
So very true Candace. When we walk with Jesus, he shows us how to take a real rest. He teaches us the unforced rhythms of grace…. to live freely and lightly. {{hugs}} ♥
He is teaching me this very thing Christina, our Lord Jesus is such a treasure and not to be taken for granted. Thanks for the wonderful encouragement...Hugs C
Beautifully said my sweet friend. It's funny, I was praying this morning about some of the very things you shared. God is so good and faithful, He desires to be the top priority in our life and the rest will fall into place where it needs to be. Hugs and love
I hear what you are saying. The Lord has been pricking my heart about similar things, what are my priorities? To some degree I have been just 'playing' life and not living it, enjoying it, doing the things that I need to do in His will. Know that I will pray for you, we need to encourage each other. Take care. TFS, Julie
You are so right about keeping things in perspective. I am only doing my note card swap and it keeps me as busy as I can handle. I also stopped watching so many video's. I will continue to pray for you my friend. I love you! Hugs, Diane
Yeah, I don't have time to watch all the videos either, Thanks for keeping the prayers going, this thing isn't over yet. I love you and sure miss you!! XO C
Praying for you my friend, you said it so well. I have to have a talk with my friend and let him know how sorry I am that Ive pushed him by the wayside and havent talked to him like I used to and listened to him thru his word like I was doing......... your gonna be fine my friend, My friend and your friend, my Lord and your Lord has got cha. Hugs and more Hugs
Candace Scarborough I don't know if you realize that this is Carolyn Wall...(YPP) You are so right, Candace, God will handle it all, if we will just let him!!
Oh dear Candace...bless your heart...So sorry you had to go thru such a tramatic, scary experience! I agree with you 100 %. I think you have been pushing yourself too much plus the dehydration...then snap...something short circuited. I think we all have had the same feelings, I know I have, and moderation is key. I started having leg pain and swelling from sitting here too long on the internet plus crafting for hours on end, getting dehydrated and not enough rest. Sometimes after all the time, I wouldn't even get anything done! I think all of us crafters are just a little bit crazy! So, now I make myself do other things I should be doing anyway, that should have priority, keeping a good perspective. You are doing the same thing and that's very good! You will feel better and probably never have it happen again. Another lesson learned the hard way. Take a break and get well. You have my love and support! God bless xo
Yeah, I find that I sit a lot, but get up more crafting than I did when I was working so that's a plus. I just can't even go into my craft room without getting anxious right now, so I'm bringing projects up to my living room and working there a LITTLE bit. hanks for your input, it all makes sense. XO C
Oh no! God bless your little heart, Candace! I hear ya! I feel guilty because I don't join the swaps even when I really want to because I also feel the pressure of the deadlines and I put other things on hold...causing me anxiety. I have a number of art projects, of my own, started but not finished and I need to get back to them as they are relaxing and no pressure. Just relax and let God guide you! I will add you to my prayer list....with all our prayers, you should be just fine. Big Hug, Sandra
Thanks for the blessings Sandra, Don't feel guilty, just do what God leads and that's ok. I do go through the same thing, I want to join them all, but right now, it's not going to happen. I have other projects I want to do as well and will get to them some time...thanks for putting me on the prayer list. I need it, and sure appreciate you for doing that. Big hug back at ya, C
Oh so well said. Thank you so much sharing. You may have help many others who are having the same feelings. You look great. It is so easy to over do a good thing. It really is all about balance. I have so many art projects I want to do but I keep joining swaps and they take my time. That is why I like the Christmas one. Nothing to send in and nothing to collect and swap out but still a lot of connections with people. Big hugs and stay balanced.
I hear you, I like the Christmas Card Challenge too!! That's the one project I plan on doing (when I get around to it). I'm not pushing it at all. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Love you C
I've been praying for you. Glad to know you are..okay... hope they find out what it is. It does sound like stress too... you have a lot on you plate. I have always been that way... then my health slows me down~ sometimes to a screeching halt! So I understand. Yes, God has a way of making us aware that He should come fist then family and the rest follows...I agree. You do what you feel is best. Sending prayers & support you way. ~~MarieMac~~
My krazy crafty friend Kimmer and I both blogged about this very thing and are slowing things down a bit. Loosing the joy in any good thing, can be a bad thing. I can remember almost 15 years ago I was so busy at church, I was neglecting my family, my home and my time with Him (yep kind of a Mary and Martha thing) so I (He) broke my ankle on the walkway to open the door for evening prayer group. Would you believe no one else showed up that evening. Don't ask how I got home :) It gave me time to rethink my priorities and I still have to stop now and again to do the same thing. Will be adding you to my prayer list, that would be an honor ;)
Thanks so much Barb, being on your prayer list is so much appreciated. I just read your story to my Husband and MIL and they both got a chuckle out of it. A great story and shows how God deals with us, he loves us enough to correct us huh? Thanks for sharing that, it was great to hear. God bless n Hugs!! C
prayers your way...there is NO stress in crafting..lol...I cant say that with a straight face! I am downsizing myself and my priority is to get healthy and lose weight...yikes but I need crafting and gardening to balance my soul....the garden is where I find God....he is in everything...even the weeds =) god bless them weeds..lol...hugs ttmab...muah!!
Thanks Stephie, the prayer chain is important!! I find that being in nature, my garden, watching the birds invokes worship to God, I have been trying to spend more time out doors because of it. God bless them weeds!! TTM XO C
Hi Candace I'm so sorry to here about your health . Your right we do need to keep our priorities in check. I want to private message you but I'm having trouble. I put Candace Scarborough and it says you don't exist. Which is dead wrong . Are you under something else so I can private message you? Please, please take care of yourself. Your friend Angie Bell
My prayers are with you. You bring joy to so many here. I had the same thing happen a bit over 9 years ago and I ended up having a pacemaker installed in my chest and have felt great every since. I sincerely hope that yours is nothing like that. Blessings and Love sent your way. BE WELL, Jonnie
