▶️About the Video: TVS apache 160 4v impressions after 4 years. I have first time rode this bike after more than a year. I felt the quality, issues and concerns are just aggrevating and become serious day by day. Issues i have mentioned in points but 1 thing i will tell you, this video is not a comparison with ADV or suzuki, both adv and naked segments have their own pro and cons, instead this video is all about my shocking, sad and sad emotions that apache, our apache isnt what it is used to be, it doesnt feels same anymore. After 2 years, i have faced many issues, changed many parts, now 1 year at my home , my brother used it for daily college and faced issues with handle bar, chain, simple parts getting loose on daily basis and seeing tyres, since start, cost cutting and poor quality.
No doubt i can say honda shine or sp will perform and last better than this in just 4 years. Also, service was done time to time even if it was not with me, and its been done at service center. Its clear to me atleast that bajaj and tvs arent made for longer run, not a lambi race ka ghoda, tvs ka ghoda is just a piece of logo.

And yeah I notice major issues like
1. Worst tyres ever
2. Battery issues after an year
3. Sometimes one touch start doesn't work
4. Vibrations of entire handle nd mirrors in 1st gear itself during get-go
5. Worst service ever (they fix something they'll give new issue again)
6. Poor front tyre grip.. under hard braking it just locks and skids
7. Poor brake pad quality i feel (5-6k kms only)
8. Hard clutch cable after 30k kms and its not feeling good during rev-match downshift..
9. Throttle freeplay increased alot
10. Service centre are scamming by changing only pads not the brake fluid.
11. Poor engine oil with highest price in the segment (900/- now for 1.2 liter😢) when i bought the bike it was 685/-. Even yamaha engine oil costs around 500/- for its R15/MT15 engine oil.
12. Poor stock chain life.. it lasted me only 12-14k kms.. shifted to ROLON Brass its been 16-17k kms and i can still use it 7-8k kms more.
13. Poor headlights for pitch dark riding
14. Fuel bars are no where near accurate (I'll see last 2 bars dip within 10-15kms gap)
15. Halogen indicators and no hazard option
16. No proper accessories from TVS (Yamaha is better in this regard)
17. Loss of power is evident after 30k kms, even with proper timely service.
18. Worst front suspension ever (too thin front forks for the kind of performance this offers)
Good things:
1. Decent milage (40-45kmpl still from day 1)
2. Feels better for general office commutes
3. Crazy sweet exhaust note (even my RR310 doesn't feel like this)
4. No fork oil leakage ever
5. Decent cruising speeds (85-100) on highways
6. Value for money bike
7. Crazy good double horn (even some expensive bikes doesn't have this still)
Bro ''Double Horn '' means what?
@@premdarji2713 Activa has single horn speaker, but apache has one of the best horn setup you can listen. Check on youtube for both u will understand.

How to solve this loss of power problem after 30K kms…..any ideas ? I am planning to get this bike in 2 days
Brought in Nov 2021 Apache 160 4V BS6 Riding Mode Edition, 24,500 kms, service done time to time and precisely. Log kehte hai bike 3 years purani lagtich nahi hai. Very well maintained.
Good:
Good Mileage 45-50 kmpl,
Good Monovering,
No Fork leakage,
Suspension is good,
Good Horn quality n sound,
Bad:
Handle noise Cup n Cone set problem,
Hard, Noisy Gear shifting & Gear Box as well,
Pickup decreased,
Power decreased,
2nd gear is not good,
Tyres are bad - 75% gone,
Headlight brightness decreased,
Breaks are not enough good,
Chain Sprocket is not good,
Bad TVS Service Centers experience,
Very few technicians are talented and problem solvers,
Please Suggest me the Good Front n Back Tyres.
Hi hello apachian being as me also apachian i have also have 160 4v 2020 bs6 model , Allmost riden 83000kms, Major issues what i noticed are
1)I feel under Power or perfomance
2)Chain sets changed thrice
3) Handle cone set change trice
4)Braking power not up to the mark
5)tyres changes twice
6) Clutch smoothes not like before.
7)Worst Tvs service center
8) Small front suspension
Advantages
1) milege on highway 55kms and in city 50kms.
2) Bike Speed Increased i touched 139.
3)pick up is good still
4)No Engine issue still
Good to see the Apache back
I bought it 2.5 years ago, ride around 50000+ changed both tyres one time, chanin set 2 time gear clutch plate 1 time brake shoes many times, around 25k maintenance charges. Abhi thik chal Raha hai, 1lakh pe changt karunga bmw ya ktm pe shift karunga

@@HELMETDUDE that feels a little low quality on highway.. Bike heats a lot and gets rough.. Btw after how many kilometers have you cleaned the throttle body of the bike?

I am recently facing a pickup problem in my bike, (Same apache as yours)
Here is the issue
My bikes second gear feels like first gear thoda thoda, I mean mai accelerate karta hun and as soon as i drop the throttle in the same gear (2nd) bike decelerates fast, speed bohot jaldi drop karti hai, jerk feel hota hai. Bike aage ke taraf jhukti hai tvs mechanic suggested me to change the clutch plate and he said "clutch sahi se pakad nahi rahi" if you want i can send you the video on Instagram. I had messaged you few days back It seems you were busy! I can send the video again if possible! Sometimes I think i am unnecessarily overthinking on this problem this might be normal but thoda darr lagta hai that's why i re watched some of your videos to see if is the same thing happening with your bike or any other people's bike but aise kuch samaj nahi raha please help me brother!
It is normal.. its engine braking and its very strong in first 2-3 gears when you leave the throttle it decelrates fast... On 4/5 gears it'll not be that strong deceleration. Don't worry much just enjoy the bike- and make sure you get the chain cleaned properly and lubricated at front sprocket near gear lever.

Bro same for me first 2 years great after that worst experience...power drop...chain clutch hard....front coller set issue....engine vibration sound....no pickup...and also worst service 😢

1. 2022 160 4v black colour with huge discount and on road price is 1.35L
Or should I choose
2. 2023 160 4v special edition white for 1.55L
On road prices for 2024 models are 1.65L for basic and 1.78L for special edition
Get a 200 if you can extend the budget.. you'll be happy with that more. 160 4V makes you feel under powered after 2-3 years.
@@mahidharreddy8286 200 4v on road price is 1.90L. I was thinking to get this 160 4v and use it for just 3 to 5 years, later I want to upgrade to duke 390 or some 400cc bikes.
@@Utube20242 then go for Speed 400 by Triumph.. it'll be the best bike that can last for 10 years minimum without need for more power. Its not too intimidating to new riders. If not you can buy 160 and go with ur plan.

Bro its 32000 kms almost and generally 25-30k kms is good life for tyres i guess.
My Apache same model (2020) i changed tyres at 20k kms itself.. coz TVS Remoras are the worst ever tyres i have used 😢. Now happy with Apollo Alpha S1 rear and Michelin Front.
ya i started facing tyres issues in beginning only, now when i am back at home, changed the tyres finally.

honda, def a reliable and good machine but you should check few things like cruising speed, comfort and ride quality, i havent test ride it so cant say much but check honda adv owner videos, that will help for sure. 👍

tvs ka hi chal rha hai, but you can try other brands as well.
