    Lets not be too harsh. Yes, this is about White getting sponsored by Knorr. But he is just trying to give advice about a simple meal that has flavor without spending hours laboring over stocks and herbs you may only use once and throw the rest away.
    If anyone is questioning his skills as a chef....well you might want to Wiki Marco Pierre White or go into the afterlife and talk to Anthony Bourdain. I actually admire MPW trying to give time stressed, regular folks without a gourmet kitchen some ideas about making a great meal without having to give up your job.

    I like to steep my Knorr stock cubes in a homemade stock before I season my steak. The stock really gives the cube a depth of flavor. But again, it's your choice. That's the beauty of cooking.

    People shouldn't be concerned with the stock cubes or the recipes in the videos, they should be watching the way he cooks, or his tips. I watch his videos and look at his techniques. The stock cubes can be replaced for normal chicken stock, beef stock, and salt etc. Marco really does give out tips that I have personally used in my cooking at home. The tips will improve your cooking to the next level if used properly.

    I can't believe you just made my classic comfort dish... I remember the first time I tasted arugula (Ruccola😅😇) and fell in love with it, but this is one of the first dishes I ever made since I've been 15 years old !!! when I open somebody's refrigerator/my refrigerator/OK I forgot that I have to go and buy some more arugula because I am running dangerously short.... 🥰🥰🥰🥰
    I will have to try the Knorr as a rub one day though lol
    Even weirder is that I do use Knorr to cheat all the time… And I don't really want to advertise too much but my béarnaise sauce is way easier than making a reduction from scratch when I am running low on time😇

    • @petergerling
      @petergerling Год назад

      Oh and on one more note… When making a cheap béarnaise don't forget to get fresh tarragon and never skimp on an extra egg yolk… Then again I make a Japanese version that doesn't even use a double boiler... OK I'm just babbling and getting hungry…! But yes this is the most simple dish I have been making for something around 26 years now
