So I just tried playing this mod and I can't understand why people rate this so highly.. I've never found anything in skyrim boring until I installed this mod. The quests are item retrieval quests every time where you have to go to a location pick up an item and return it. The dialog between quests are typically one to two lines before you begin another drab quest that sends you across the barely inhabited world. Most cities have little to no civilian life and seem dead except for the shop keepers placed soley for your use. Most npcs have no conversation when you talk to them and when you do it's very minimal with little or no backstory to immerse you in. Most of the cities do not have inns so if your using a mod that requires you to eat/sleep ect or even when using frostfall expect to survive off of sleeping in peoples houses and buying lots of food and drink in the few shops that carry them. I was doing this questline at 20-30s and every single mob was dropping very rare and expensive gear pieces that were always enchanted so it pretty much ruins any balance for making gold. Rare ingredients are strewn EVERYWHERE so picking up something that would take you normally a while to gather only takes a minute or two in most dungeons. Their college of magic is pathetic compared to skyrims; there are no vendors anywhere, no classes, and only one or two quest givers. I'm just going to stop playing though this mod and load a previous save and uninstall this mod; it has potential but right now in my opinion it is not worth your time or patience to play through it. I would strongly suggest playing Wyrmstooth, Beyond Reach or Falskaar.
Noone regards it highly, but their are few large scale land mods. Stick to the Beyond Skyrim series, because as you noticed this mod is nothing more than fresh shite.
Drake Natsu Yeah but its been 2 years I think, they don't even upload a unfinished version for testing (even though they have people to do it for them) And for the past few times they have tried to do this "morroblivion" "oblivowind" and a few other projects it usually gets removed because Bethesda gets mad about it.
Fenryr 3001 He doesnt appear right when you spawn into the world, you need to walk a bit and you'll encounter him in the world. Not sure if that was the problem, but thats what i thought it was at first in my game but i wandered a bit and i found him.
Fenryr 3001 I've actually been playing Beyond Reach and ran into the same bug. Had to go back by quite a few saves and replay a good hour or two of content. I haven't actually gotten back to that point, but plan on saving before I do. There are walkthroughs on their nexus page for fixing it. though I haven't gotten to the point yet. NOTE: I just took a quick look at the nexus page and it was actually updated on the 10th. Hopefully that bug has been fixed.
I can't wait to slowly collect all expansions to a point where I have all of Tamriel in my skyrim playthrough. I think it would be a fun immersive experience for player and spectators alike. Keep up the updates. thanks :)
Sylwia had gr8 voice acting, that's some professional shit. But the mod is too Skyrim-esque for me. I mean, too many Skyrim assets. Summerset Isle wasn't all stone and wood and medieval shit, you know.
0/10, if the high elves were this chill with their beach huts and infinite magic rooms then they wouldn't need to be nasty. Where are my prisoner torturing, Arch Mage murdering, power mad, Aryan, assholes?
Zaric Zhakaron Actually that was before the Oblivion Crisis. Afterward they emerged as a dominant political faction, what with the Daedra killing most Altmer nobles.
Zaric Zhakaron i'm glad you enjoyed it. what words would you use to describe him? i used them because, one: what he just said shows a complete lack of knowledge of the Altmer. and two: he said them in a biased and insulting manner. showing no love for a people he knows nothing about. which i thought was the racism.
I know I'm late, but I wanna share my experience with this mod. Played it last year. Went into it so immersed with my High Elf Arch-Mage, to find a complete wasteland with little to no life. And I tried, really tried to keep playing it. After a month or so I gave up and teleported back to Skyrim, and damn, it felt good to be back. But I didn't uninstall it because I thought to return later in some point at my playthrough. I save the game and quit. Next day comes in: "Your saved file is corrupted and cannot be loaded" on three of my last saves. Had to return quite a bit from before I installed it. So yeah, not recommended.
RoadleGaming it was a joke, anyways with moonpath to elsweyr, summerset isle, dragon born and skyblivion we are only missing 4 more places from tamriel and akavir
+roadle32111 A mod for all of Nirn could be procedurally generated. Not that it would make a very good result but that's the only way that I could see a mod team be able to pull it off.
The voice acting is magnificent from what I could hear! And so is the detail of this mod, wow. Summerset Isle has the same magnificent details they did for Hammerfall in the Gray Cowl of Octurnal mod.

It seems the term Alpha changed. I used to remember when it meant super early testing, with barely any features. Now, games, or mods, in Alpha could be released as complete. I feel developers are using the word. "Alpha" to excuse any mistakes, or if they want to make drastic changes.
I installed the mod in late July. Constantly CTD and some lock-ups. I adjusted my mod load order to no avail. It appears I'm not the only person with the problem, given comments I've seen elsewhere. Deleted the mod. Will try again later.
777scubadiver It needs to be converted to an ESM. The MA should have done this from the start, but, regardless - it must be flipped. You can do this in TES5Edit or Wrye Bash. In Wrye Bash, open up, right click the mod, Esmify.
Almost time for another Skyrim playthrough. I really appreciate the mods you bring to everyone's attention. This game just keeps expanding and improving. Thanks to the modding community, and to Brodual, for helping me pass my free time. :)
from this video I feel like it looks too much like the province of skyrim. shouldn't summerset be filled with really large crystal towers and amazing structures? although that would be very tough to make, so that probably why xD good mod tho.
How come Brodual is the only channel where nods aren't about sex? Like all other channels show crap mods and here is this gem among them. Keep doing what your doing man.
Brilliant. Yet another DLC-sized mod to expand apon Skyrim's quests and lands. I'm difinitaly installing this along side other DLC-sized mods such as 'Falskaar', 'Wyrmstooth', 'Moonpath To Elswyr' and others.
Did you even play the mod ? The mages guild is just the blue palace with a swap color, most of the isle use generic forest , and most of the quest are only fetch quest without reward . i can't take seriously your criticism if you recommend boring mod like faalskar or summerset isles . Just because a mod has a lot of content doesn't make it good .
Living Lifeform It might break immersion, but I wouldn't think that people at Summerset Isle are quite as uh.... racist or xenophobic as everyone in Skyrim is.
***** Considering that's where the Dominion is based, I'd beg to differ. High Elf culture views itself superior to all others. Granted, that's a stereotype, but a stereotype that has very prominant examples.
This mod looks amazing, and absolutely stunning in scale. The only problem is... I have to complete the College of Winterhold quests in order to play it. *Shudders*
Nah, the blue and white bear flag of skyrim will hang from the crystal tower with the piles of high elve dead at the foot of it. The nords will give them the same fate they gave to the snow elves, only this time there wont be any dwemer to save them.
+Beyin Firarda i did, i played as an imperial on most of my characters xd and i know ulfric is an asset, and i disagree with his war on the imperials he could just demand to secede peacefully and allow the imperial troops safe passage across the jerall mountains, then ally himself and sign a mutual defense pact with high rock, cyrodiil and hammerfell. Plus they'll have more troops since nords will actually follow a NORD leader from skyrim that they believe in rather than an imperial from the south.
I really wish they tried to stay closer to the lore and tone of the Elder Scrolls series but i'll still give it a try. I like how the quest follows up on the College questline but it would be cool to be able to travel do the Isles even when you are not playing the archmage, even if that means you will not be able to do the main quest. But i can see that the team did an amazing job considering the vision they had. They are probably very good modders. I'm looking forward to trying the quest when i make a mage character.
I heard there was going to be a DLC set in Hammerfell, so if someone made a Skyrim mod set in that place I'd be happy. In fact I think there were going to be more DLC set around the other provinces that bordered Skyrim, like High Rock, so if there could be a mod in High Rock too, that'd be great.
i have a question. mods like this one, who offer entirely new areas outside of skyrim, do they also have a map expansion. it's logical they they do, hoewever i don't know if they can add a whole new area to the map, like Summerset Isles, or Morrowind from the SkyWind mod, or pretty much all of tamriel, from Beyond Skyrim...
90% sure that one dude is Hermeaus Mora in disguise. That aside, it looks like an outstanding mod, and although there are some...inconsistencies between it and lore, it doesn't seem like enough to impede on my enjoyment of the content
Does anyone know how to make the courier appear in the inn? I'm the arch mage, the mod is installed to the correct version, but she doesn't appear. I've tried all sorts of console commands, but none of them work. The only way to get to Summerset Isle is to be teleported by the courier, even giving myself the spell that telelports you doesn't work.
So from reading the comments here this rendition of Summerset Isle / Alinor is lore breaking? Is this based solely on the simplicity of settlements in the province? The attitude of the NPC's? Both? If so is there a reasoning behind these tent like settlements from the mod team other than its easier than creating crystal cities?
Brodual The final version of Legacy of the Dragonborn has been out for a while now, do you have any plans to make a new video to cover all of the updated materials?
Need some help here. I've become the archmage, but when i speak to the courier in the Frozen Hearth, she is mute, and my character doesn't teleport ot the Isle. Would appreciate the help
In terms of compatibility, would it have any issues with Expanded Towns and Cities? Seeing as that makes changes to the inn where the courier spawns. Immersive College of Winterhold as well, will that play any issues? What with the option to renounce the Arch-Mage titles.
Hah! I did a ton of the voice acting for alot of the male NPCS for this mod omg. AHH MY VOICES ARE IN THE VIDEO! I didn't even know this was released yet.
The amount of work they must have put into this is pretty astonishing, especially since they're not getting paid to do this. However, after reading through the comments, apparently this mod is really not lore-friendly? And where are the Thalmor and other Aldmeri Dominion stuff? It just seems immersion-breaking. I hope they put in more work to implement those things at a later date.
There are compatibility patches for climates of tamriel, Convenient horses (To summon your horse), Vanilla Horses (Allows Ardvak to work properly in summerset world space.) Realstic Needs And Desires and the vanilla ambient sounds. :D There should be more soon if I under stand correctly. Here's a link www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68602/?
NPCs are as plain as the islands themselves. They are not fully voiced. Many of them don't have any lines when you get caught stealing from them or even attack them. Not all of them of course, some will say "Well met" or "Good bye" 😅 I even stumbled upon male NPC with female voice The quality of the audio can be a problem as well. At least one NPC has voicelines that sound like they were recorded on the phone Map is huge and that's a big problem. Map is empty and has no points of interest (only one I've found is a dead sload and that's it just a half buried corpse of sload, nothing else). Multiple places on map have no names (they are called "landmark" on the map. The markers are always off and you can easily access many locations without unlocking them for fast travel, just because the marker is so far away from the place itself If they'd compress map to 1/3 of it's size and cut some of the most useless and meaningless parts of it, it would be so much better Cities are horrible! You have no chance in distinguishing houses in most of them. Most houses are exactly the same or have such tiny difference that you need to actively look for it The most interesting town for me was the Dusk. It was so weird and interesting when I first entered, but after five minutes it was just another town with exactly the same interior for every building except one. It has like 5 or even 4 NPCs and the only one interesting is a khajiit that wears a mask of khajiit (only because of the mask of course) Quest are terrible. Most of them are fetch quests or something equivalently bad (escort this girl, escort her back, escort a dog, escort a ROCK) and so far none of them made sense to me The dialogues are also bad. So many lines sound nonsensical and out of place. Attempts at humor are cheap and weak (especially the ones that are trying to pick on vanilla Skyrim)
@@yourenotsupposedtobeinhere you found my 4 m.o. comment, then went checking if it was me arguing with you on Gopher's video and you're telling me to find a hobby? LMAO
@@dima_keller What are you talking about? I was re-watching a video that was made about my mod. You sound a little narcissistic thinking that I was looking for you, Dima, you are not as important as you might think you are, happy if I could boost that ego fr you though all the same.
Well, first comment on this video in many years here. Yeah this mod never was truely finished, creator never could take constructive criticism. A damn shame, something could have been done with this mod.
It won't work for me. My Courier doesn't have a voice and after speaking with him, the game won't teleport me to Summerset, i am still in the inn. Does anybody know the solution?
I think the Summerset Isles should be the location of the next ES game. The isles are supposed to be beautiful and mysterious, with a pleasant climate that probably isn’t going to alienate certain players or RP characters in the way a more extreme climate, like Black March would. It should be set after the Great War has commenced and ended in the defeat of the Aldmeri Dominion, after which the isles have been torn and broken by war and are now full of occupying nations, and other foreign factions with varying motives, bringing more diversity to the elf-dominated isles. With the war lost and the dominion fallen the land will be in disarray and anarchy, and the high elf people will be experiencing an identity crisis, where the lies they had been fed became apparent. Some of them will still be clinging to the doctrines of elven supremacy in underground movements, others will be at a loss of identity, seeking new ones by worshiping the daedra and picking up other unorthodox paths. All of this would serve to make the isles a setting with lots of races, factions, identities, agendas, conflicts and crises, allowing the player plenty of opportunity for of side-choosing, questing, pillaging, charity work, etc. I think this would be the perfect setting for the next game.
Dejomony Lemon In that case they better change the cannon wood elf culture and get rid of that silly green pact thing, since it raises so many logistical problems. You really can't have a society that doesn't exploit plant life, because not only is it far fetched that anyone would rely completely on animals for food, as well as not using wood as a building and tool-making material, but with no wood or charcoal there is nothing with which to have fires of any significant size, be it for warmth, light, cooking, crafting or blacksmithing.
Hey. Could you do a review on comparing 2 new mods (about a week or so old) that do similar things about adding enchantments to NPCs? One is Dynamic Enchantment and the other is Xtended Loot.
Modders of Skyrim are the most impressive modding community I have ever seen.

Living Lifeform That makes sense, now that you explain it.
Great mod!
Hey guys! Its the Skywind guy!
Cheddarmaki Dorito - ReviewNarutoUSA You mean the guy behind that thing that wont actually be here until after the release of Elder Scrolls 6?
The Rageaholic Elder Scrolls 6 won't come out like before 2019 so it will be out by that time.
Merdo195 Not at the rate it is going. And 2019 is a bit unlikely. Bethesda when last asked talked about seeing stuff for it starting 2017.
I wish but I don't see them releasing elderscrolls 6 only 2 years after fallout 4. Earliest 2018.
Good video as always, but when is ordinator coming?
Bob Bab He probably has to redo anything he recorded for ordinator because ordinator 2.0 was released like two days agao
+awesomejim123 really? can one by any chance upgrade from ordinator 1.0?
Derwan Yes you can. Though you may need to respec.
Skyrim Guard just did it, it seems to work so far. a few of my perks went missing, but thats ok.
+Bob Bab I agree that this is a very important question to answer.
Took you a while to make a video on this :P great work as always.
How much involvement do the Thalmor have here?
oh yeah this is that it is a dlc with excellent attributes...good job
name of outro song ? plz i cant find It :c
The teleportation orbs found around summerset isle are a cool idea, but they're fugly as hell
Nice, just gotta find time to play Skyrim again.
Is there a version for the special edition? I'm currently playing as an altmer battlemage and she really wants to return to her homeland. lol
This mod looks amazing, and absolutely stunning in scale. The only problem is...
I have to complete the College of Winterhold quests in order to play it. *Shudders*
I'm playing as a High Elf Archmage. The dialogues and gameplay must be different for me, is it?
Damn I missed you guys *sobbing*
All I'm asking for is more frequent uploads , it can't take that long to review a mod like woodcutter
One Day, Alinor will be renamed Sunset and the Imperial flag will hang from the balconies of the Crystal Tower
no
+4Fun Only yeah, you are right. It'll be named summerset, not sunset. My bad
Nah, the blue and white bear flag of skyrim will hang from the crystal tower with the piles of high elve dead at the foot of it. The nords will give them the same fate they gave to the snow elves, only this time there wont be any dwemer to save them.
+Jon Arryn you don't know the elves brainwashed ulfric, huh? I'd say you haven't looked clearly pal.
Yaaassss, I've been waiting for him to cover this. Now just do Beyond Reach and I'll die happy
This mod is perfect for my high elf mage character
+Brodual when will you release a video about ordinator? the perk overhaul mod?
Why has the not been ported to special edition yet???
i have a question. mods like this one, who offer entirely new areas outside of skyrim, do they also have a map expansion. it's logical they they do, hoewever i don't know if they can add a whole new area to the map, like Summerset Isles, or Morrowind from the SkyWind mod, or pretty much all of tamriel, from Beyond Skyrim...
Sylwia: We need to find de king, Do you de wae?
90% sure that one dude is Hermeaus Mora in disguise. That aside, it looks like an outstanding mod, and although there are some...inconsistencies between it and lore, it doesn't seem like enough to impede on my enjoyment of the content
are thalmor in this mod
I hope this gets added to skyrim special edition
Does anyone know how to make the courier appear in the inn? I'm the arch mage, the mod is installed to the correct version, but she doesn't appear. I've tried all sorts of console commands, but none of them work. The only way to get to Summerset Isle is to be teleported by the courier, even giving myself the spell that telelports you doesn't work.
Everyone is having that issue. The mod author is no help. have you found a fix?
So from reading the comments here this rendition of Summerset Isle / Alinor is lore breaking? Is this based solely on the simplicity of settlements in the province? The attitude of the NPC's? Both?
If so is there a reasoning behind these tent like settlements from the mod team other than its easier than creating crystal cities?
I think Huendrylis might be having a stroke.
Brodual The final version of Legacy of the Dragonborn has been out for a while now, do you have any plans to make a new video to cover all of the updated materials?
as a outer part of the isles till you would reach the glass city's is mood get. greatly done though
Is there for skyrim se ?
Time to start a new play trough for this mod then I suppose.
Need some help here. I've become the archmage, but when i speak to the courier in the Frozen Hearth, she is mute, and my character doesn't teleport ot the Isle. Would appreciate the help
Summerset Isles aka the area Elder Scrolls: VI will be in
Is this mod for the xbox one? If so what's the name of it
In terms of compatibility, would it have any issues with Expanded Towns and Cities? Seeing as that makes changes to the inn where the courier spawns.
Immersive College of Winterhold as well, will that play any issues? What with the option to renounce the Arch-Mage titles.
How come you guys have never covered "Beyond Reach"? It's a really really good dlc-sized mod.
Is this along the same lines as Falskaar? How is it from someone who has played that? I really liked Falskaar as it gave me a bit more to do.
Hah! I did a ton of the voice acting for alot of the male NPCS for this mod omg. AHH MY VOICES ARE IN THE VIDEO! I didn't even know this was released yet.
HAHAHA! The Huendrylis guy sounds like Jerma985! That made me laugh so hard
A single island, Auridon, would be able to have a lot more details and maybe time for original assets
This looks dope
I remember seeing a mod somewhere where followers walk next to you instead of behind you but I don't remember it's name. can someone help me?
please tell me we get to fight against the thalmor in this mod because we are basically in there home turf now
There are compatibility patches for climates of tamriel, Convenient horses (To summon your horse), Vanilla Horses (Allows Ardvak to work properly in summerset world space.) Realstic Needs And Desires and the vanilla ambient sounds. :D There should be more soon if I under stand correctly. Here's a link
www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68602/?
I hope elder scrolls 6 is in the summerset isles or high rock
Is that Jerma at 1:29?
Some of the sounds seem out of place like they are in a cave yet they are outside lol
NPCs are as plain as the islands themselves. They are not fully voiced. Many of them don't have any lines when you get caught stealing from them or even attack them. Not all of them of course, some will say "Well met" or "Good bye" 😅
I even stumbled upon male NPC with female voice
The quality of the audio can be a problem as well. At least one NPC has voicelines that sound like they were recorded on the phone
Map is huge and that's a big problem. Map is empty and has no points of interest (only one I've found is a dead sload and that's it just a half buried corpse of sload, nothing else). Multiple places on map have no names (they are called "landmark" on the map. The markers are always off and you can easily access many locations without unlocking them for fast travel, just because the marker is so far away from the place itself
If they'd compress map to 1/3 of it's size and cut some of the most useless and meaningless parts of it, it would be so much better
Cities are horrible! You have no chance in distinguishing houses in most of them. Most houses are exactly the same or have such tiny difference that you need to actively look for it
The most interesting town for me was the Dusk. It was so weird and interesting when I first entered, but after five minutes it was just another town with exactly the same interior for every building except one. It has like 5 or even 4 NPCs and the only one interesting is a khajiit that wears a mask of khajiit (only because of the mask of course)
Quest are terrible. Most of them are fetch quests or something equivalently bad (escort this girl, escort her back, escort a dog, escort a ROCK) and so far none of them made sense to me
The dialogues are also bad. So many lines sound nonsensical and out of place. Attempts at humor are cheap and weak (especially the ones that are trying to pick on vanilla Skyrim)
I've already called you out on this in the Gopher video. You haven't played the mod. Please find another hobby.
It's back actually
''A huge Skyrim expansion on the same level as a piece of dlc.'' Oh boy...
Is it compatible with xbox 1
Can you get this on xbox
wow, i cant imagine how long it took to build all of this.
Isent the dragon born like the strongest arch mage ever, cause even the hero of anvil couldn't use shouts
It won't work for me. My Courier doesn't have a voice and after speaking with him, the game won't teleport me to Summerset, i am still in the inn. Does anybody know the solution?
1:29 is that, is that Jerma??
I rather have vale wood just the forests and getting lost since they don't have roads I think
+AdemonlikeYOU They've already done High Rock [Daggerfall], so the most likely candidates at this point are Elsweyr and Hammerfell.
***** I didn't say that they absolutely wouldn't do High Rock, I just said it seemed less likely.
Hey. Could you do a review on comparing 2 new mods (about a week or so old) that do similar things about adding enchantments to NPCs? One is Dynamic Enchantment and the other is Xtended Loot.
@2:56 "...bigger on the inside..." Must be Time Lord Tech.
