1:04 the apron blends in so well
Sry can’t like it’s at 69
Lol😂😂😂
Bruh
Bro.. :D
What apron😒
Man, the “catch the blade” when it slips is a hard reflex to learn to avoid. This is just from a user standpoint!
NEVER try to catch a falling blade! Just let it fall--even if you really spent a lot of time or money on it.
body no reflexes don't think first before reflexing is what I think he meant when he said reflex
A reflex I never had when dealing with weapons till like three days ago
@HexagramMan how you do that
I cut my hand with a Katana like this. It cut me to the bone, but it was short cut. It was squirting blood. I inspected the wound and flexed my finger. Meanwhile the others in the room were freaking out...
1:54 when your arm falls asleep and start tingling
Drizzz 😂
😂
Ikr
Pins and needles?
Actually my arm involuntarily moves like that if I've stayed up for more than 24 hours straight and I'm about to fall asleep anywhere I'm sitting/lying.
I call it the Monkey yank because... it feels like a monkey has grabbed me by the elbow and is yanking my arm around :D
Though in reality it's probably caused by an adrenaline rush I sometimes get when I try to fall asleep.
Wise words at the end. Anything you do will cause wear and tear on your body, even if you think nothing of it at the time your body may remember and tell you about it 30 years later.
True but It's inevitable regardless though. No matter what
And people will blame sitting in an office chair for 30 years as much as people will blame lifting bags of concrete for 30 years
Laa0fa yup might as well mess ur body doing something you love we’re all going that route anyway
@@kevinsmoon3257 Sitting in the office chair isn't why they end up with chronic pain 30 years later though. Its never getting up from the chair to walk around or exercise.
@@gjfwang So sitting in the chair is still causing it you realize you said the same thing💀

It hurt my ears alot

My worst forge story was when I dropped a knife. I was able to control my reflexes enough not to catch it. I however failed to move my foot. Went straight thru and stuck my foot to the floor. I still have that knife, hangs under a sign saying keep toes atleast 2 feet away.
How did it penetrate your foot and the shoe and the floor?, how'd it have that much momentum
@@mzamethodman7134 old wood floor and the knife weighed 2 lbs 3 oz and came to a almost Stilleto point.
@@mikewatts9562 ah, how painful was it to pull it out and how much did you have to like fight your instincts to not pull it out if at all?
@@mzamethodman7134 the funny part is it didnt hurt at all. Pretty sure it was the shock and as far as taking it out was very hard as instincts said leave and no massive bleeding, then cauterized it shut. Dr asked me how I managed this and the wrong answer was I put a large "decorative" knife thru my foot the closed it by heating the tip of that same blade
Hurt like crazy the next two weeks to walk. Funny part is the dr pretty much looked, said nothing vital was hit then wrapped a bandage on it and sent me on my way

3:00 buffer on the ol Willy eh? Happens to the best of us 😂
I wished they kept this segment going in the later seasons.
Doug tore his rotator cuff testing a weapon... Took almost a year to fully recover.
2:43 dude looks like he gonna spray batman with fear gas 😂😂😂
Hahahahaha
I've ground the tip of my thumb off once. That was the first major injury I got from knife making then a couple years ago my buffer caught a beautiful finished knife I made and was just about to mail to the customer and thought I'd give it one last little touch up and it caught the buffer and spun it right into my face embedding the blade into the right side of my jaw bone breaking it off in the bone and ruining the knife. Strangely enough it never hurt not even a little bit. Got it stitched up and remade a new knife for the guy. I love the scar it left. But I've had far more serious injuries throughout my life those are just a couple I sustained while knife making.
I thought the guy was a skinny legend in the thumbnail
Lool
Same
I-
Lol 😂
my worst blacksmithing injury was i was heating up some rebar ( a 2 foot piece so no need for tonges), it got up to about 1500-1600f so i reached over to pull it out to hammer on it . instead of grabbing it my depth perception was way off and i accidentally wacked it, it flipped out of the forge and using my cat like reflexs i grabbed the it on the hot side, thankfully i let go really quick and only got minor burns , the scar i got runs along all 4 of my left hand fingers lol
Silver lining, you didnt get hurt too bad and you got a good scar and a story to tell.
2:05 AHHHHHHH
Guy at 0:35 looks like the dad from inside out.
2:00 listen carefully. Seriously.. be careful.
OC Castings yea i heard that. then i went back and carefully listened to what was being said during the ringing..
OC Castings its causing a subconsious anchor in the mind so the story about the grinder gets saved as a different kind of memory then the entire rest of the videos and storys. it could be an honest audio error.. it could be something else.. it could be both.. any way. thats a basic example of how mind control programing can work... if it goes otherwise un noticed.. but i noticed and listened again and it didnt seem malicious to me.. sounded like a good lesson to learn from the grinder accident. in dual meaning too... but it could be there so not to hear the guys grinder experience to distract you from it. again it could be nothing at all and im just a nutter ^^ ooogga booga i see dead people....
It was caused by a machine running in the background. And no, I'm not talking about mind control machine...
Ouch
I'm not a dog, but that was loud

I've genuinely never seen a female on forged in fire, cool.

2:06 congratulations you trigger a vitenam flashback
Jesus this is dedication to your art!
Everyone is a good sport on this show
My worst metal related accident was when I was 12, I grabbed a dirty metal wire on the side of the road, I was bending it over and over so I could break it.I was wondering how hot the metal was after bending it back and forth a couple times, so for some reason I put it to my face and gave my self a permanent scar on my cheek.
Molten metal in elbow pit? Super ouch!
“In my elbow pit”
“If you get close enough you can still see the little burn right under my eye from it”
Guy continuing to social distance: “Yikes”
2:05 does anyone else hear a whistling noise but very high pitched
Yes
I thought my phone broke for a second
The dad of my friend once made a sword and my friend tested it on a tree and the tip broke off and stabbed my friend in the leg.Good thing my friend only needed 5 stiches 😓
Very lucky, could've been a LOT worse if that tip hit the big artery in the leg.
2:05 anyone notice the high pitch continuous beep?
that thing hurts my ear so bad
WARNING ⚠️ AT 2:05
I was cutting a piece of steel and the grinder kicked back.....they are pretty good meat grinders to lol

Need confirmation.
Looking for the comment past 3 years here u go:)

2:06-2:22 anyone hear that high pitched noise?
I didn't hear a thing. Sure you didn't just imagine it?
@@SrChr778 I only hear it if I turn up the volume a bit too loud😬
I got the worst injury from an angle grinder, the grinding wheel exploded and cut the back of my hand and two tendons, had 24 stitches and was unable to work for 4 months.
Rabenhall with or without gloves?
Thog with leather gloves
Next time show the best injuries not the worst.
1:58 is it just me that hears a high pitch sound
profound truth...Everything you do now you will pay for later
I dont have a forging injury story, bit I do have a knife injury story. Ok, so I was sharpening a buck knife with the lansky controlled angle sharpener, and I dropped a napkin, the knife was in the clamp, the clamp was in my bench vise, and when I bent over to get the napkin I sliced my forehead open on the blade.
If you ever drop a knife....let it fall, never try to catch it. Otherwise, the next time you drop a knife you'll only have three fingers to catch it with!
I wanna see them make a skyrim iron sword
This is why I always use hand tools. More control and reduced chances of super serious injuries you could get from power tools.
You’re not a forger if you’re not proud of your brutal injuries
Thought guy at 1:04 was unbelievably skinny for a sec till I saw the apron...
Kelly might be the Crimson Chin
The worst injury I had was my first divorce
My worst was when I was sticking with a 25lb sledge hammer and the handle broke and the handle hit me in the nether regions while the head flew up and came back down on my foot (thankfully I was wearing steal toe boots )while splinters were all in my face and arms from the broken handle
worst injury I probably got was I was testing a bit of steel to see if it would harden and I hammered it and the piece that broke off basically shot me in the finger. might have broke it but idk
i once deboned a chicken, but ended up deboned my hand..... destroyed 3 joints, tendons and nerves....... my hand never got to function well again..
It’s a right of passage you must leave a piece of you for the right to the gods of the blade to smile upon you . The riddle of steel is not just to be answered it wants a piece of you as well . brothers and sisters anyone can buy fire and metal . not everyone can make fire and metal bow to them . Even fewer can force fire and metal to give them steel .
I spent 30 years in the welding world. It's not IF you get hurt, it's when you get hurt... My worst one was when I missed while swinging a 2lb mini sledgehammer and hit myself squarely in the nuts! I had a black & blue mark that started above my dickydo & went half way to my knees! Lucky for me I had my kids already! I impressed my Dr on that one. That I could walk after only a day! Ha!
0:50 yikes, please don't let it talk anymore

I poked myself through a glove because i actually wear protection and follow safe procedures.

As I watched the reality cooking show "Chopped", which I bet even Chef Ramsay and other top chefs wouldn't do perfect on either with the judges tasting their food as well where they mention downsides to their plates as well, with the time limit on there with it always being down to the wire, in the nick of time, and this show having the same thing, I just KNEW this show, with how much more dangerous it can be since it's not the same as cooking food, would result in injuries with the contestants sometimes working too fast to get stuff done in time.
