a decade later this is still one of the best songs I've ever heard, and it finally reached its long overdue million views! Come back Napoleon, you can't tell me this is the way that this ends, that this is the way it's supposed to be!
Harsh vocals, riffing, great bass and drumwork in behind. They were fucking beasts. Actually, once they were supposed to come to my hometown in the Czech Republic, night before they crashed their van on a highway. I remember how fucking sad I have been. My whole month has been ruined cause I actually looked so much forward for the concert. Then, the guys were on their farewell tour and were supposed to play in our capital, Prague, and I got sick. My friend who I have been supposed to go with has brought me a signed shirt from all the members. Despite the signatures wore off, I wear it regularly with pride. SUCH A GREAT FUCKING BAND WITH UNREAL RIFFS.
All the members of this band are incredibly talented, but the guitar player seriously has some jaw-dropping riffs. For a band that could be so inclined to fall under the realm of "melodic hardcore" if it must be contained to that, these guitar sounds are wonderfully structured & precisely fingered and really pull the sound up by it's bootstraps to create something so refreshing that I can't stop listening.
Guys guys!Lets not argue about petty stuff!Whether you like them or not (Bizkit) it's true that the real downfall came for them when Borland left!I don't like them either but it's true!
I don't think people realise how amazing this song actually is. Just listen to it with headphones and close our eyes. Take in and appreciate the work and skill behind each member of the band the intricacy and accuracy in their playing. Also listen to that beautiful production. Man this song is a masterpiece.
I refuse to come to grips with how insanely good that riff @1:30 is, its fucking amazing and I doubt I will find any thing that comes close to this, pure genius.
This track is sick! Reminds me of the hardcore scene in the early to mid 2000s. (2000-2006) Such a good sound. Reminds me of The Bled, Fall of Troy, Hopesfall, Underoath, You now have a Western Canadian Fan.
I remember finding this song after coming home from school as a junior in high school..I literally played it over and over again on my desk top computer. Then converted it into mp3 and put it on my iPod 4..had it on repeat for God knows how long. Good times
@@robert_xx_ holy s***, i like the sound of this band? how did i miss it all this years??... thanks for the recommend brother. i'll be blasting this for a long while.
@@NightElveee Anytime dude, one of my favorite bands of all time bro. Grew up listening to them since elementary school. A song that holds a special place in my heart by them is "This city is far from here". So many memory's man. Enjoy yo, never too late to enjoy good music
Had to come back to this video. I came here a couple of years ago asking for some similar bands as I was completely amazed by this song. I discovered Counterparts, Hundredth, Seasons in wreckage and many many more bands ever since, which I completely love right now. Still, this song is the absolute best melodic hardcore song ever written imo. I hope they keep growing the way they deserve!
This is what guitarists should strive towards. Can you imagine writing this? Yes the vibes are spot on, but this has more complexity than most bands, including prog and djent. This shit don't repeat, it constantly evolves
The guitar parts are out of this world. They truly perfected this sound. So nice that they have an instrumental version of this album, more bands should do that
The guitarist and drummer are highly underrated! The guitarist writes seemingly impossible riffs and then performs them with ease. The drummer is also super talented and his style fits the band perfectly.
Not denial. Josh has a certain vocal style that makes him sound far more emotional, which is odd as his screaming is monotone in comparison to Wes. Funny how that works, huh?
It was the summer of 2013 when I first came across this video and the one for Liars and Sellers as I was getting lost in small bands on RUclips, Neck Deep had lead me here back then. These two songs stood out to me so much and will always represent a time in my life, how I wish this lineup could have toured the US. This band hasn't even played one show in the US yet. Anyway the year is now 2016 and I haven't heard these songs in maybe over a year.. And wow.. Every little aspect of both songs is just awe inspiring. I literally said out loud "God damn" while watching this. The incredibly pleasing and complex expertise of the guitarist, the nonstop filling and effort of the drums, and those vocals are still the best screaming I've ever heard in music yet. And the lyrics to both songs.. How can it be that good?? Crazy. I wonder if this song was about them getting a peak at how the music industry requires selling yourself and losing dignity and them backing out of it, based on the lyrics.
Listened to the re-recorded version of this song now that their full length is finally out. The whole album is great, but the new version of this song still just doesn't hit me the way this one does.
EyeIgnite he's definitely phenomenal for sure, and better than this one in my opinion. But it's more than just vocals, the song as a whole just doesn't effect me the same way like this one does. Although, it may be me being bias from how blown away I was when I first heard this song.
Tefyt Paw Yeah I feel you, I fell in love with this song instantly when I first heard it. So much raw emotion in the vocals and the guitars just go ham.
yeah, I think the tone of the guitars and the overall production quality on this version is a lot better than the new one. the new one feels too mechanical and digitized, whereas this one just feels a little more organic.
Just because a song has lead guitars doesn't mean it's a different genre. It's definitely metalcore. Deathcore emphasises on breakdowns, not metalcore. And posthardcore does indeed have breakdowns so i have no idea what you're talking about. If you're comparing this to actual old school hardcore like Bad religion, then sorry man they don't have any similarities.
Haha Deathcore? what? :D No no buddy. This is melodic hardcore. Ever heard of it? Look up counterparts or More Than Life. You'll understand that it's actually quite different from metalcore. ;)
Guys, I want to say that I thank you for doing such great music, this is real talent. You just picked up your instruments and made a masterpiece with the EP, and this, this is absolutely gorgeus. I love complicated music, cause theres at least something happening! There will be people who can 't follow it, but theres enough people that think all this mainstream metal is all the same (well i like that too but something ADHD for a change is really nice!) This is at least not the same as all metal with just basic riffs on basic double base. Keep up the originality!
