I have to say I agree with Sam, I don’t see the skill shortage that’s everyone always bangs on about. I’ve said the same thing for years, this is why sparks rates aren’t what they should be.
In the world of maintenance contractor work etc I make you right. But that is because many carrying out that work are not sparks. Same in renewables. The spots are filled by those who are not. Why? Thats the real question. The shortage of skills is very real. The stats don't lie on age and numbers. So the big players move the bar on what is allowed. Aka roofers doing wiring, labourers doing wiring and the rates align to match.
Page 3 of installation manual gives the warning about the warranty, which you can download from the support page on website, always I check out equipment I'm not 100% knowledge on, and support page 1st port of call, if new equipment, alternative sites for older discontinued items I have to repair

I gave up on sparks rate went out on my own and chose my own rate it's the only way to do it now

Sam does the hive EV charger have pen fault detection, sub it to an approved EV installer if you don't have your ticket
