I got into fashion after not being able to afford clothes for my 8th grade school year. I felt so embarrassed to not have anything new and I never wanted to feel like that again. controlling my style is absolutely important to me and I hope it continues to evolve with time and wealth. It was nice to hear your story too. fashion is something that's learned overtime, so everyone's origins into is diverse.
Haha, love to hear that. Economics is a great degree, definitely don’t waste too much time after getting it. Jump into what you’re truly into and give it a shot!
Great sit-down video man. What I love about this channel is that your love for (quality) high-end is real and not just some hypebeast quest for views or clout. You said two things in this video that struck a cord with me. I moved to Paris from Jamaica where, like you, I wore a uniform for my infant to high school years. That's a total of 15 years of having brown-khaki uniforms made for me, and being in close proximity with the tailors or seamstresses charged with making 'em. Uniforms I think - despite us not knowing it then - allowed us an early appreciation for the bespoke or "sur mesure" quality that we now seek in clothes; things like fit, cut, fabric weight and choice, proportions, personality (yes personality - for we tried to get the tailor to flout the uniform rules to match our own style) that is difficult to find/replicate in fast fashion. Also, like you, I hate thrifting. For the same reasons you do plus the fact that I don't know what energy the previous owner/wearer had! Would love to see a long form influencer-type Vlog from you, like a week-in the life type of thing, showing how you decide your posts, pulling clothes, shooting, editing, etc. Bless!
Thanks bro, yh, thing is quite Important for me to make people realize that, just because you purchase high end doesn’t mean you have style or can dress. Thank you for sharing. It’s great to see others that have had a similar path to mine to some extent. Cheers!
Hi greg! I admire your way of being and your vision of fashion. Since I found you on Instagram ive been following all your work. I really like this type of videos more personal so we can know you better! Wish you all the best and encourage you to continue creating this great content. Big hug from Spain bro
Hey bro! Recent sub, sending love from Cape Town, South Africa. Wish we had places that had pieces like you and your mates like Arvin wear. Big ups on the growth in your style, loving the content!
Hey man, I really enjoyed this type of video and would like to see more of that kind. It would be interesting to hear more about your work and your opinipon on certain things. Greetings from germany, Chreers
I would like to know why you constantly refer to the African continent as third world countries. This is the second time I've heard you've use that term. Are you aware of the implications behind the term third world. I am African and there is nothing third world about the continent it is actually offensive. I encourage you to learn about the history of the term "Third World".
Thanks for this. Always thought you from Rwanda or Uganda..... Nice to hear about the eastern cape influence. I remember Grahamstown jazz festivals way back then.....I lived in Port Shepstone.
Great insights. Would love to know how you ended up working for SSENSE, and you opinion on consumerism working within the Industry. Cheers!
I’m Shooting that next month, so stay tune. Thank you 🖤

I feel like you were speaking directly to me no cap. I’m an economics major but my passion has always been in the fashion industry.
