    I hope that the Ranger PHEV will be deliverable in 2024 ...I was asking in a Ford Garage ...they say not before 2025...in my area it goes always up and down so I can save energy and besides load batteries with own solar power...not interested in full electric pick-up though...

    A plug-in F-150 Limited for less than 80k would sell like hot-cakes in the US among those who can afford it.
    500 HP, 14000 lbs towing capacity, 50-60 miles on all EV, 1000 mile combo range, leather interior heated/ventilated seats in the front and back. Great tech package with apple carplay.
    Do it and I'd buy it.

    Should cost a fortune, as if Regular Rangers haven't increased in price enough over the years. If you go caravanning, save a fortune by getting a regular car and stay in a hotel, more relaxing too.

    With what has just been announced in the UK, i doubt it will make a difference regarding BIK. Nice try Ford, but you need to do better with the mileage range! Pick up sales in the UK are about to be destroyed post July 2024 and beyond!

      Why on earth? This gives you the benefits of electric but if you want to go on a road trip you can. You won’t be getting stranded looking for a charger either.

    • @sondremathias8984
      @sondremathias8984 Месяц назад

      @@cuzr702 Fair enough, but mostly finding a charger isn’t really an issue if you’re used to planning. The car would even tell you when you risk not getting to the charging time. You get plenty of warnings so unless you’re an idiot, you wouldn’t run out of power, but you may use some more time

    • @cuzr702
      @cuzr702 Месяц назад

      @@sondremathias8984 Going to take a lot more time. From what I’ve heard, you can’t really count on charging stations working. Which would be a disaster.

      @@cuzr702 where I live in Norway, we have really good charging infrastructure, but I think that it may be hard to find a working charger in the United States at the time

    Not good.
    My 2017 chevy volt gets 53 miles per charge. That's 90km.
    Most the time I push it to 90miles on a Songkran charge.
    That is over 7 years ago that chevy was making a vehicle that can go further distance on a single charge. Come on more people would buy this vehicle if you couldn't give us more distance.

    • @cuzr702
      @cuzr702 Месяц назад

      Chevy volt is basically a golf cart.

  • @KenTVtw
    @KenTVtw 7 месяцев назад

    45km is such an awkward range
    theres no point doint this, especially when electric is most efficient all the way up to 80% of its capacity, so real usage would be less than 35
    can you imagin using slow charge for the last 10km of range
    and for work the battery would be too small for safety and useful range, you would constantly be looking for fuel
    and disel part of the car would be there too, resulting no electric frunk
    and then there would be TWO things to do maintainance, what a bummer

    • @ZZ-xv2gh
      @ZZ-xv2gh 5 месяцев назад

      I understand your points, but I drive 3 miles to work and the engine in my Ranger never really warms up. It is only driven longer distances on weekends. For me this model is perfect.

    WHAT? You mean to tell me Europe, Australia and South America get a PHEV powertrain for the Ranger, but we don’t get one here in the USA?
    I have only one thing to say about that:
    NO FAIR!! NO FAIR AT ALL!

    • @badawiq

      Sad trombones for the US market. Could have done this years ago with extra Energi parts laying around.
      Just maybe, if we wait a few more years we can get an AWD Hybrid Maverick. How did the Maverick ever slip by the MBAs and focus groups anyway?
