Don’t need to …. I buy re-manufacturers inks from Amazon $15 - last me around a month .., which is pretty good ..

dts and dtf print is ruining the screen print business. with transfers anybody can print it. but with screen print not everybody can do it
It’s definitely a big part of the T-shirt industry, but ruining screen printing I don’t believe so. I haven’t heard of a big clothing brand requesting DTFs. In my experience clothing brands that know what they are doing will 9 times out of 10 request screen printing.
There are screen print transfers tho ..I love screen printing but about ready to get a dtf machine...
I am doing a 2 color job with a white underbase on 50-50 cotton and polyester on navy blue...when I use white I will flash 4 times sometimes cause I don't like the material of shirt showing underneath white underbase ..
I am making sure my flash time is on point...the hoodies pass the stretch text..so I wash a few..at first they look ok. And then I notice the material of shirt is showing now.....the white turned a little off color and started cracking a little..
So I take to heat press at 300 and it fixes the cracking and makes the white look white ..I guess some moister from washing soaked into paint...shirts passed stretch test.....so I was surprised that moisture got into paint...
Navy blue polyester is a nightmare and I am using Wilcox white paint that has dye blocker in paint ...
The time I have spent to re órder hoodies and re due is bullshit ..I use a gun to check over hoodies, hoodies were showing 290 to 310.....I know the Wilcox likes oven at 320 330....
I feel I am a good screen printer...I pay to much attention to detail at times....and I don't like my shirts or hoodies showing the material of shirt.so I may be messing up my way by adding to much paint...lost confidence...
Only thing I don't like about dtf machines is the white powder....
And TikTok be showing how easy it is to convert a printer to a dtf machine for cheap with decent results............
I am spending way more time cleaning screens also and prepping screens...
Screen printing has real competition with all the transfer options ....
