Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html. Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html. For a thrasher with heavy Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/G021aP2ao6Y/видео.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three of the most spectacular: "When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html "Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html "Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
I discovered this brilliant band in December, 2018. And that was - as far as music is concerned - the beginning of the best years of my life. A day without listening to Lovebites? Unthinkable!
You have a huge backbone of a grateful and respectful international Lovebites fanbase. Most of it is supposedly "word of mouth", but very detemined. 😊 🐺
Exactly right. Listened to all of them, too. (Got to know them six weeks ago.) "Metal, re-invented." 🤘 Who should want to follow this band on stage. 😂 They should be able to headline stadiums by now. It seems to me, that they are still flying "below the radar". 🐺

No need to feel ashamed. Excellent music is excellent music. 🙂I keep sticking to Iron Maiden, the best story-telling Metal band, in my opinion. They and Lovebites live a peaceful co-existence on my playlist. 😁 So, "Up the Irons!", and long live Lovebites! 😊 🐺
Subscribed because of your reaction to Lovebites - these ladies are phenomenal and wait until you see all the other genres of metal they play. Miyako, the black haired guitarist can shred the piano too.
The music coming out of Japan has been such a fun discovery for me. Growing up in the 90s, if a woman instrumentalist was in a rock, alternative, or metal band, she typically stood out more for being a woman than for her playing skill. Hole, White Zombie, Orgy, Veruca Salt, as much as I loved those bands, there was definitely a difference between how those women played and the males of the era played. Now that gap has been closed by a lot of groups and artists around the world, and Japan definitely leads the way on that. Midori, the blonde guitarist, is playing an ESP E-II Horizon FR. The color scheme on it is "reindeer blue." Miyako, the brunette guitarist, is playing a Dean USA Icon. The color scheme on it is "faded denim."
Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums (4'9"; 1.45m) Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals (4'10"; 1.47m) Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar (4'11"; 1.5m) Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano (5'2"; 1.58m) Miho "Natural Born Head-Banger" bass (5'1"; 1.55m) nicknames given by the band "unsurpassed" is a word I use to describe LOVEBITES, from music compositions, lyrical themes, arrangements, musicianship, LIVE presentations/performances, individual contributions, collaborations, original, yet 'familiar' and personalities/social-media interaction. None better, or more beautiful, or more uniquely expressive, in my lifetime experience.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". I believe the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Talking about hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Some are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

Welcome to the world of beautiful, talented, Japanese ladies.. You have a way to go with Lovebvites, so put your seat belt on and enjoy.. Choose anything by them its all this good and better.. And when you have finnished with Lovebites (Never) Look up Band maid, Gacharic spin and Aldious.. Three more Awesome bands, all metal and hard rock, all beautiful, all women, and all extremely talented.. Stay in Japan, there is no need to go anywhere else.. Best wishes from France..
These girls since 2016 when Miho bassist from Destrose and Drummer and Destrose Bandmate Haruna after the band folded they recruited Guitarist Midori and Guitarist/Pianist Miyako and R&B singer Asami to form Lovebites in 2018 they won the metal hammer golden god award for best new metal band in London they have absolutely no bad songs on their 3 albums, 4 EP's, and 4 Live albums.
😄 That was great reaction! Really enjoyed it. Welcome, to Lovebites. They perform different styles of metal (no growling screaming kinds), and some are closer to rock. But their song writings are some of the best. I generally prefer their live recordings (skip the Bloodstock video. Bad sound) over their studio produced recordings.
@@GivenToe Yes, avoid all Bloodstock footage of Lovebites until you have seen at least ten of their songs. The reason is that Lovebites was switched to the main stage at the last second and was unable to do a proper sound setup and the audio is awful. That show is not indicative of Lovebites music.
LOVEBITES is a relatively new band founded by Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) in 2016, but made a major debut in just half a year from the first stage, and expanded overseas six months later. They are mainly active in Japan / UK / EU and have already participated in major metal festivals in each country, including "WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018". In 2019, they participated in "DragonForce UK Tour 2019" as a support act and performed in 11 cities. Their lyrics are all in English, but they have a habit of pronouncing asami (vocals), so it's easier to understand if you turn on subtitles until you get used to her habit.
Best first contact reaction I have seen in a long...long time. LOVEBITES just doing what they do...blowing our minds with every single track they have. Welcome to the Wolfpack 🤘🐺🤘
гитаристку с темными волосами зовут Miyako она эмоционально играет , а вторую гитаристку зовут Midori она более технарь , на ударных - Haruna , басс - Miho , вокал - Asami , Miyako музыкальный гений 😎😎😎
Great reaction! In Japan, there are club activities such as tennis, kendo, and baseball as extracurricular activities since junior high school and high school. They can choose what they like first. It is not uncommon for bands active in Japan to say, "I touched the guitar and drums for the first time in high school." (Drummer JUNNA also started from high school) The members of Lovebites originally studied classical ballet and classical piano, but their careers as a heavy metal band are short. As far as vocal asami is concerned, he didn't know about heavy metal until he joined Lovebites. The great thing about Lovebites is the degree of perfection in the live performance. The live performance of "Winds of Transylvania" is of terrifying quality.
Oh my!!! What a performance!!! Anime on steroids!!! Seriously though, how talented are these young women! And how poised while blowing everyones' mind! Was following the lyrics ( kindly posted by another viewer...thanks!) Great lyrics!!! Another great reaction David!! Love this vault of music genres you are opening for us ! Take care ! 🤗😁
Their latest AUDIO cover song PAIN KILLER (Judas Priest), next live songs from them Set The World On Fire, Raise Some Hell, The Hammer Of Wrath, Scream For Me, When Destinies Align, Spellbound, Winds Of Transylvania, all songs with crazy dual guitars solo's... 🤘 Bro, check also another all Japanese female Metal Bands NEMOPHILA - songs Revive(in English), Raitei, Dissension, cover songs Bands KISS, AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN, LINKIN PARK, BON JOVI, MOTLEY CRUE, 🤘all songs with dual seven string guitars solo's, HANABIE - song We Love Sweets 🤘 BAND-MAID - live songs Freedom, On Set(instrumental), Play, Turn Me On, Take Me Higher, Don't You Tell Me, Manners Thrill, all songs with bass solo's 🤘 ASTERISM - songs Gunfire, Dawn, Rising Moon, Lights In The Darkness, Church, all songs with seven string bass solo's 🤘

Subbed. There are so many excellent bands coming out of Japan and I've only been following y'all female ones because they feel all my emotional needs. Someone mentioned Band-Maid and Nemophila. Good start. Get a few more songs on your belt and then I'll add some more Japanese bands that will just enlighten your whole being
You nailed the common first reaction to Lovebites. The thing about Lovebites is, while I'm not saying they have songs better than this, 95% of their songs are just as good. And their songs that are "not as good" are still better than most anything you'll hear from another band. The fan base, known as the Wolf Pack, are typically friendly and helpful, and always ready to promote our Goddesses. My personal suggestion for what to do next is Break The Wall from the same concert, then after that just go where the wind takes you. Welcome to the rabbit hole. m.ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html
welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful heavy, poxer, thrash metal. you have discovered a world-class band. Wolfpack follow now your channel. Wolpack is the Lovebites world fan base.
WTF??? like you maybe you thought girls dont do metal music .i cant speak for you tho. if you close your eyes you would think it was guys playing the music. i had a hard time understanding the lead singer and what she was singing. overall. it was a pleasant surprise
She has a strong Japanese accent to her English. There are a lot of American metal bands whose lyrics you can't hear too. It doesn't matter because her voice is great and the guitars are killer. They have as great a guitar duo as there ever was in heavy metal.
I'd l lay 8-5 you're in four digit views by lunch time. There's already been several of the wolves scouting you out you will be meeting the Wolfpack. You have no clue as to what you got yourself into. Enjoy the ride 🤘 Welcome to the Wolfpack 🐺
@@GivenToe I see you only got four metal covers let's make it five 🤘 a drummer named JUNNA does the SIC'st drum covers on the planet. I've seen other people with your condition. Symptoms of dropped jaw and highly raised eyebrows with copious use of holy this and holy that, and OMG's accompanied by loss of speech and manic laughter. Its a clear case of E2L. (Exposure to Lovebites.) If treated correctly it will turn into A2L Addicted to Lovebites). 🤣 I look forward to sharing your addiction with you. 🤣🤘🐺
Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three of the most spectacular:

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

LOVEBITES "We're not here to be cute, we're here to be heavy"
Hell yeah!!!
Awesome!
Thanks a LOT! 😁😁😁
Oh yes, Bloodstock is NO, NO!! If you do that, you'll be under the crossfire from Wolfpack here.
I'm here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺🤘
Hell yeah!
Thanks so much for the great info! 😁😁
Best first contact reaction I have seen in a long...long time. LOVEBITES just doing what they do...blowing our minds with every single track they have. Welcome to the Wolfpack 🤘🐺🤘
Thank you so much 😁🙏🏻🤘🏻🔥
They are huge amazing I can't deny and repeat over and over again all their songs are aweesoomee I love it a lot
Nothing to see here just hot and talented Japanese girls shredding your face off.
California loves LOVESBITES!!!
🤣🤣🤣 well put!
Great reaction!
In Japan, there are club activities such as tennis, kendo, and baseball as extracurricular activities since junior high school and high school.
They can choose what they like first.
It is not uncommon for bands active in Japan to say, "I touched the guitar and drums for the first time in high school." (Drummer JUNNA also started from high school)
The members of Lovebites originally studied classical ballet and classical piano, but their careers as a heavy metal band are short.
As far as vocal asami is concerned, he didn't know about heavy metal until he joined Lovebites.
The great thing about Lovebites is the degree of perfection in the live performance.
The live performance of "Winds of Transylvania" is of terrifying quality.
「Winds of Transylvania」のライブ演奏は恐ろしいクオリティーです。
Oh my!!! What a performance!!! Anime on steroids!!! Seriously though, how talented are these young women! And how poised while blowing everyones' mind! Was following the lyrics ( kindly posted by another viewer...thanks!)

Subbed. There are so many excellent bands coming out of Japan and I've only been following y'all female ones because they feel all my emotional needs.
Someone mentioned Band-Maid and Nemophila. Good start.
Get a few more songs on your belt and then I'll add some more Japanese bands that will just enlighten your whole being
Thanks so much! :D
Edge Of The World and Epilogue , ballads
Try Banmaid’s song Onset
Mom... can we move to Japan....

Thank you! 😁🙏🏻🔥
Swan Song please? 😊
welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful heavy, poxer, thrash metal. you have discovered a world-class band. Wolfpack follow now your channel. Wolpack is the Lovebites world fan base.
Im so happy to have you all here! Welcome and thank you! 😁
More reaction lovebite
There will be more 😎
WTF??? like you maybe you thought girls dont do metal music .i cant speak for you tho. if you close your eyes you would think it was guys playing the music. i had a hard time understanding the lead singer and what she was singing. overall. it was a pleasant surprise
Well I heard the lyrics quite ok. It is s live performance so the audio might not be 100 % clear. But I was really pleaseantly surprised! 😁
Enjoy the ride 🤘
Welcome to the Wolfpack 🐺
Heheh sounds very exciting! Cant wait! And thank you! 🙏🏻😁
@@GivenToe I see you only got four metal covers let's make it five 🤘 a drummer named JUNNA does the SIC'st drum covers on the planet. Her timing, pauses and fills are absolutely insane and without peer. React to JUNNA "Through the Fire and Flames" it's F'n FLAWLESS Geez Anzalone reacted to her cover and was just giddy as a prom queen best he's ever seen.
MUCH ✌️❤️🙏 FROM POLAND 🇵🇱
I've seen other people with your condition. Symptoms of dropped jaw and highly raised eyebrows with copious use of holy this and holy that, and OMG's accompanied by loss of speech and manic laughter. Its a clear case of E2L. (Exposure to Lovebites.) If treated correctly it will turn into A2L Addicted to Lovebites). 🤣 I look forward to sharing your addiction with you. 🤣🤘🐺
Hahahah best comment ever XD Thank you! Yes, there will be more so stay tuned! :D
