Thanks for this video. The front shocks seem to be too long, at least to me. Better foams or inserts will help a lot. Besides, training is key. Keep going 🥳👍
The problem are the shocks setup and the wrong positition with the keys,i have a similar build but in the front i use the shocks in semi-droop with shocks keys and angled at 50 degree,in the rear i use the shocks in full sprung with shocks keys and 70 degree angled, the rig is very impressive with this set up sidehill, hillclimb and downhill are perfect they have improved a lot even in very extreme cases
Check out the inserts Exocaged rc makes I like running super soft on the front and soft in the rear of my carbon I just got some of his new cheat codes inserts and I’m not having much luck with my them on my light weight trucks but they are pretty good on my trx4 trucks around 8lb
That was a rough one, you'll work on a few bugs and get it right next time. Does the body need to be trimmed up a bit more, it seemed to be catching a lot? One positive for me anyways is I watched this with Lil Squatch and he laughed when you broke your axle and again when you rolled it over when you winched it. 🤣
@@arkansasrcnewbie hahaha, he's standing on his own for 10 seconds at a time now, soon he's gonna be running around. But he smiles at you and Wolfman on the TV. You're right, just a little trimming should do it!
I have enjoyed watching your content and was even going to see if I could come run with you guys next time I’m out to Arkansas (I live in Utah), but I may quit watching if you’re going to give up Squids for BAMF. Sorry to say. I’ve tried the BAMF and the design is horribly flawed. They make a lot of hype over a far inferior product, both in design and in materials, and they also do a lot of trash talking of other brands on various FB groups. SL3D will make you a set to fit your rig the way it is and I think they’re about the same cost if I remember correctly. You just have to ask. The Squids looked like they were working well from what I could see. I actually run a slightly firmer set in the rear of my comp rigs. Also, if you put a little bead of e6000 on the insert before you put the ring in and then assemble the tire and wheel and let it sit over night, it locks them in place. It’s an issue I’ve seen on EVERY brand of insert.
Dude, the glue trick sounds like a winner, thanks for the pro tip. As far as BAMFs go, everyone is talking about them and Injora. I love my squids but like I said, my rigs too heavy! Lol I'll have to put an order together from SQUID 🐙 and see whatvwe can do. Thanks and I expect to see you around!! 🤣🤣🤣 Don't get mad if BAMF sends a pair, maybe a shootout???
@@arkansasrcnewbie I won’t get mad. Really, you should try things so you know for yourself. BAMF will work, but like I said, the design is really lacking. Almost no resistance to side roll, materials that are not as soft or durable, and the company has showed some pretty poor character. I’ve tried the Injora inserts as well and they’re not terrible. I think they’re a great upgrade for a trail rig or a budget comp truck, but they’re still nowhere near the performance level and fitment of the squids. There are others that do as well or even a slight bit better than the squids, but they cost 2 to 3 times as much. I’ve tried most every brand that’s cheaper than squids, but none of them have matched in performance or quality. Part of the hobby is trying new things, but please, don’t get caught up in hype or free stuff versus what actually works well and is cost-effective. Just keep things real and don’t become a fanboy. Keep up the good work. 👍
Man I'd really love to hook up with y'all. I'm from Louisiana and there's no where to crawl here. I do a lot of work in AR and have been to a few spots. I'll be headed up there Friday to enjoy yalls resources. Can you recommend good any good spots ?
Man so sorry, I just seen this!! I hope your time was good and you found a spot. Of you checkout Crawler Cast on RUclips, Luke always does a schedule for crawling all around the state.
Thanks for sharing the build progress and covering the events the way you do!! Much appreciated
Thanks for watching and the comment man. I'm trying lol, was gonna do a full comp video, but I thought it would be better to focus on the build 😅
I feel it should be the club leader who covers the full event. Although it was your channel that led be to the club.
Truck looks good on the rocks.
Thanks brother, just gotta learn to drive it!
Tough luck man, it's tricky getting used to a new rig, you'll get dialed in. Thanks for sharing.
