Commissioner Lisa Townsend shares Surrey Police's quickest-ever wait times for 101 and 999 service

Surrey's Police and Crime Commissioner, Lisa Townsend, has thanked Surrey Police contact centre staff after the lowest-ever wait times for both 101 and 999 were recorded. Call waiting times were an area of concern for HMICFRS inspectors in the summer of 2023. However, in the months that followed, a huge programme of work has been underway. And in February 2024, the lowest wait times for both 999 and 101 callers in the Force's history were recorded.
